View Full Version : Unusual spot for an Earthquake

The USGS has not noted the 6.8 earthquake between Tasmania and Antarctica. This is the second one in this area in the week. Ive been monitoring the ring of fire earthquakes for awhile now and have not seen them occurring in this region. Note 5.8s in both asia region and Japan. Those are biggies to. But then again, its probably not as important as argueing the point over race, colour, belief etc etc:mad2::mad2::mad2:Maybe priorities will change when we have another good shake:ohwell::ohwell:

hmmmm very curious indeed.
I have a very sensitive intuitive friend that predicted the Japan one weeks before.
She is saying there is another big one coming, like 8.4 she is saying....
Certainly we are seeing a lot more activity.
Question is whether its natural or not, or maybe both, being the opportunists that they are.

The crowd is so easily distracted. Look over there..........while the big events still go on unnoticed. Batten down the hatches. Say some prayers. Hold tight.........the world is rocken. Better go and have a cup of tea, it could be my last. I will savour it. Bless you all.

yeah... tell me about it.
But try to tell them that, falls on deaf ears.
Still addicted to the drama maybe.....

Thanks Carmen, I agree, and Im not touch'n that other thread with a ten foot pole! Nuthin good to come of that mess, so Im glad somebody said it. ya'll might wanna check out dutchsinse over at youtube he keeps up with the global earthquake situation every day, its prety good and he does all the work for ya. Also if you download Equake3D it will show you the whole globe and every quake on it, its VERY cool and free, google it and download it you wont be disapointed.

Yeah thanks Siberia9, I have several sites downloaded that I refer to. Sort of vitally interested living like I do on the ring of fire!!!!:smokin:

Hi Carmen, it's not too unusual as there is a faultline there.
And it's on the USGS 3D map.
Have recently discovered that the land mass of Australia has way more earthquakes than I thought it did.
:)

Let us hope your friend is not correct this time.
With the added weight of all the flood water from the Mississippi River along the New Madrid faultline ... if the "black op boys with toys" add to natural forces ...
Cannot verify since I never personally monitored either ... but some have said not only the site to monitor what haarp was doing has been taken down ... but also some of the seismology reading technology covering (... you guessed it) New Madrid faultline area.
Who knows?

Carmen have you been feeling these quakes since you posted this thread?

No, not at all Rocky. I live in the South Island of New Zealand, south of Christchurch. We felt the large ones from Christchurch, but no damage. From what my knowingness tells me, Christchurch is not out of the woods at all. I think its pointless rebuilding it!! Sad to say. And friends and family up there, some I have warned, some its pointless to say anything!! I know Im moving into touchy territory here, but I had a thought about why Christchurch, apart from the fact its low lying (mostly), built on a swamp and has much reclaimed land. To me, of all places in NZ, Christ Church is the seat of the "Old Boy Network" , of tradition, old stuff, set in its ways of the past. I know of some business people who have trouble conducting business in Christchurch as they can't penetrate the 'old school tie' network! Just a thought!!

Hey Carmen, Rock, and Calz, just had one in spain, yeah the plates are on the move as 176 times before us during a shift. Right now the magnetic south pole is located in florida, it is only a matter of time before mother earth decides to realign the magnetic pole to the traditional pole. When that happens will have some water displacement and migration of people . It's not the end of the world but certainley will be the end as we know it and a new start for many and the end of this lifetime for some. We all just need to help as many as we can and take care of ourselfs at the same time. We can do this, fear is only from within and it's important to keep our center when fear is getting a grip. Guess that would be a little tough if the building you were in was swaying but really ,just know that many of us in the avalon community are one in our thoughts and caring and that support is here always. Enjoy that tea and make sure you have some put away for future days when things get a bit tough. Will be o.k.

Geez Louise . . . I’m moving my farm from Kansas back to the Appalachian Mountains. Half my stuff is there and I have several more loads to go.
I have to cross the New Madrid Fault, the Missouri River three times and the Mississippi . . . can we send some “super glue type energy and thoughts” to hold the thing together ‘til I get on the other side?
Last load will consist of a stock trailer with my chickens, 3 goats, jersey cow, horse and four large dogs, , , , kinda like the Beverly Hillbillies in reverse. :loco:

if the Magnetic pole was in Florida, we'd be in some major trouble...

...if anything, Blufire...your crossing there will help
to stabilize with whatever might otherwise be going on...
some people's presence has that effect...
ever thought of that?
You'll be fine!!! (Rocky_Shorz taught me to say that and it works)

I've come across numerous sites that claim USGS omit some events, its best to use multiple sources, like this one ,http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/index.php
there are those who have suspisions about the X37b aka OTV2, that overflew south east spain, not to mention other places of 'interest'http://www.n2yo.com/?s=37375

Just google magnetic poles moving, that was big news a few months ago in florida. The airlines industries base there positions on this every year which is why there was the news clips on it. Hope that helps.

The airport had to move runways due to the mag. pole shift but the pole isn't in FLA. It's only about 20 degrees off from where it originally was. Could get worse as time goes on though.

The problems I had with beachfront was fearing a tsunami...as late as last year when there was talk of the gulf oil spill causing a sea quake which could have easily rolled water over the house I was staying in.
Now renting a bit further inland and 100 feet above sea level I'm much more relaxed.
While writing this I'm back in my permanent home in Costa Rica, 3200 feet above sea level and my night worries are about earth quakes.
And this is in response to blufire:
If I had a home in tha Appalachian mountains I'd worry about winter temperatures, but that's because I'm spoilt...living in the tropics.
I wish you a successful crossing! Or are you there yet, and unpacking now?
