Asking for What You Want ~ Cocreating with the Universe

So many of us are taught to accept what we are given and not even to dream of anything more. Most people don't always fully realize that we all have within us the ability to cocreate our lives with the universe.

So many of us are taught to accept what we are given and not even to dream of anything more.

But our hopes and dreams are the universe whispering to us, planting an idea of what's possible while directing us toward the best use of our gifts. The universe truly wants to give us our hearts' desires, but we need to be clear about what they are and ask for them.

To ask for something does not mean to beg or plead from a place of lack or unworthiness. It's like placing an order—we don't need to beg the salesperson for what we want or prove to them that we deserve to have it. It is their job to give us what we ask for; we only have to tell them what we want.

Once we have a clear vision of what we desire, we simply step into the silent realm where all possibilities exist and let our desires be known. Whatever methods we use to become still, it is important that we find the quiet space between our thoughts.

From that still and quiet place, we can announce our intentions to the pure energy of creation. By imagining all the details from every angle, including scent, color, and how it would feel to have it, we design our dreams to our specifications.

Similar to dropping a pebble into a pond, the ripples created by our thoughts travel quickly from this place of stillness, echoing out into the world to align and orchestrate all the necessary details to bring our desires into manifestation.

Before leaving this wonderful space to come back to the world, release any attachment to the outcome and express gratitude. By doing this daily, we focus our thoughts and our energy while regularly mingling with the essence that makes it possible to build the life of our dreams.

Hi Darla,
I had an interesting discussion recently about this topic. A lot of people try this and end up feeling frustrated because they don't see their desires manifesting. I think there are a few reasons for this. One reason is that often people who promote this technique (not saying you) suggest that the person needs to maintain positive thoughts in order to attract positive things in their life. So the person pushes any negative thoughts away in an attempt to stay positive. The problem with this is that negative thoughts rise up in us to be processed and healed with love. When people push them away instead of processing them they create a backlog of negativity that becomes harder and harder to keep at bay.
Another problem that I perceive is that on a soul level ‘things’ mean nothing. We’ve been SO programmed to want stuff. Consumerism has taught us that our worth is based on what we have, and in many of us this has been insidiously deeply ingrained. I think possibly the problem is actually not recognizing the artificially created need for things, and believing that when our 'desires' are not manifested it is because we are not worthy, or haven’t done something properly, when in reality it is because in terms of ‘coming home’, which is what this current stage of the game is about, they are completely irrelevant.
For me the most important key in manifesting is alignment with the heart. For me that is really what it is all about. Because our hearts are in unison with each other and source, everything created from the heart would manifest and flow in beautiful synchronicity. Therefore I believe that we ARE ABLE to manifest the true desires of the heart, but often get frustrated and disappointed because what we think we really want is actually ego driven and not truly aligned with our hearts and souls.
For me it is important to not punish ourselves or to feel that we have failed in some way if life doesn’t deliver what we ‘think’ we want. Instead I believe that the key is embracing everything that comes our way, and trusting that on a higher level we have created the situation for our highest good.
I see that the more I align with my heart, the more my life naturally fills with joy and love...to me these are the most important things we can manifest.

Please know that I am not disagreeing with you, I just wanted to supplement your blog with some information that I feel is important.

Although sort of wonderful, this post was a bit fluffy and I appreciate your additions of great thoughts to supplement and make it more real.

The only thing I can add, and never worry about me taking offense, I just posted it and did not write it myself, so no worries. The first time I successfully manifested a desire that comes to mind ~ was when I was being evicted last year and needed a place that would accept all my animals. It felt overwhelming and was an agonizing prospect ~ but I was guided to get out there and take some actions ~ what was it I was really looking for? The old place was a tract house and I prefer wilderness. No neighbors close enough to count kittens and cats ; )

So, I did all that and faithfully went through all the steps and time after time, I was shown the worst dumps to rent. They were absurd to the maximum possible and some days, I didn't have the energy to get out of bed.

One was a riot in that once upstairs, the hand railing broke off in my hand and the stairs were so steep I had a vertigo attack. There was a door that opened into thin air on the second story with a long fall downward for any who opened it by mistake. Unbelievable places in my price range. But I kept getting these prompts, what did I really want? What was my hearts desire.

Well, it was easier to go through the paces, which involved going through ads, calling for directions, asking questions and so forth. On the worst week, the worst day of viewing and talking to landlords, in what felt like a deep pit, we found something that included two acres of forest for a yard. Wow.

We went to see the place and it was so fabulous, I couldn't begin to believe living there in this mountain type chateau could ever work out for me but I asked. This place was the exact same rent as the old place, it was gorgeous in the forests and close to Mother Nature, beautiful tall pines and windows all over the place yet secluded. Too good to be true, eh?

Well, once shown the inside during a heavy rainstorm that came up on the mountain suddenly, we walked from room to room and imagined what it would feel like to live there. I saw it all with me puttering around computer in lap, furniture in place. Us living there. The harmony of the days as they passed, the gorgeous view.

Still I kept looking as there were requirements. I actually found another house and having not heard back from the landlady, I attempted to rent this other place but those landlords were out of town. So, the dream house rental owner lady called and I told her that not having heard from her, I had found something else. Then we discovered that I grew up in Northridge and she taught at the university there and it was old home week. She begged me to cancel any idea of not moving into her beautiful place. Imagine!

I've never felt happier or more fulfilled but we each need to figure out what it is we love, what it is we feel we need, and then ask for it.

The most important thing I learned from this manifesting beautiful experience was to not be discouraged even though you have every right to be. Get yourself out there for whatever it is that you want or need, so that others in synch with our vibe can locate us, meet us, and make things happen in our world for the better.

Well, it only took me 67 years to get it right but how amazing it is to live in this blissful heaven. I've used my line, "I was evicted right into the heavens of Sandpoint, Idaho", kind of like a mantra and it's always good for a great laugh. Back in the day, I wasn't laughing tho.

Never give up and get out there. Be clear in your own mind what you want to ask for. Do the homework and make sure you know what you are asking for ~ and then it will be given. The entire Universe and especially ourloving Heavenly Mother/Father/God wishes to gift us the desires of our hearts.

So let's take them up on it and ask so it can be granted. And so it is.....So fabulous, eh? Hey, if I can do it, you can do it, too. xoxoxoxox

Thanks for sharing your story :). I had a similar experiene with my home. WHen I became pregnant my partner and I decided we needed a new home. It can be very difficult and competitve to get a good rental, and I dreaded the process, but trusted it would all come good. Coincidently ;) someone at my partner's work told him he knew a woman with a house for rent. When we went to see it we couldn't believe it...it was perfect. Set on 25 acres of gorgeous rainforest with beautiful creeks and magical trees, it was as though it was made for us, and it was within our budget and not too far to town. The woman told us she had decided not to advertise, as she trusted the right people would find her. And we did!! We've been here in our gorgeous paradise for 3 yrs now, and everyday when I watch the small kangaroos playing on our lawn, and the king parrots hanging out on the verranda I feel so blessed. This home is perfectly in line with our (me, my beautiful partner and gorgeous son) hearts.

Oh yeah and just a funny little note: My son, at 2.5 is an incredible manifester. Every time we go out I get stopped by people wanting to give him cool things. The other day he was playing on one of those mechanical horses that you put money into (only he still didn't know that moved as I never put money in) when a woman came up and put money in so it would go. Later when I was putting the groceries in the car he waited by another of those things when out of the blue another lady came up and told him to hop on and she would pay for the ride. I told her it was ok, he'd just had a ride, but she insisted.

Yeah...because I stay aligned with my heart, my heart's dreams just flow outta me...my life is so magic...I love it :). I wasn't implying that I was frustrated with my successes with manifesting, I was just pointing out some stumbling blocks that I have noticed.

the technique only comes to you if your mind is totally clear and your mind is in sync with the the universe's desires and the overall group. Remember it is group consensus.

This is why a capable person has a near impossible time manifesting in front of those who disbelieve and are demanding proof. The disbelief of the naysayers defeat the energies of the capable one.

As well, the manifestation comes through the mind not in it. remember, it is channeled vibration patterns.

This means your deepest mind, to birth and beyond, if they are in sync with your consciousness, then the desired manifestation can take place or is considerably more likely to take place.

However, being that clear causes you to not care about manifestation any more.

The deeper one goes into correcting the manifested persona so it aligns with the core self, through understanding and agreeance, the more likely it is that one can manifest energies. In the 'question of lithium' thread I speak on my personal recall of manifesting golem type beings, and that as an issue and concern is covered in that thread, IIRC.
