This email came to me:

Here's an email you can forward to your friends:

Friends,

Shhh... We're not allowed to talk about it. The new Internet Blacklist Bill shows so little regard for free speech and Internet freedom that it would actually ban people from having serious conversations about the new Internet Blacklist Bill.

It would block "information location tools" from pointing to sites suspected of piracy. So that means that we couldn't send you an email just like this one with links to the websites that were being prosecuted.

Will you click here to urge Congress to oppose the ridiculous, obscene, draconian, PROTECT-IP Act? http://act.demandprogress.org/sign/protectip_docs/?ak_proof=1&akid=624.246029.Xdd9bK&akid=626.450066.uMvzTy&rd=1&t=1&t=3

It's not an exaggeration for CNET's headline to shout, "Senate bill amounts to death penalty for websites." They say the draft bill "would certainly sweep in Google, Yahoo, and search engines, and may also cover many other Web sites."

Please help us fight this legislation, which is far worse than the first Internet Blacklist Bill -- just click here.

Thanks for standing with us,

-- The Demand Progress team

P.S. The new bill is a "death penalty for websites" and it's moving fast. Will you forward this email to your friends or share the petition with them using these links?

Congress are a bit useless with anything the shadow government want to do, aren't they? Though, I guess it can't hurt to try.

This is so crazy to see this fascist regime come into play.

*sigh*

Darla i think you have miss interpreted a legit. post
There is no cause to be ultra defensive for Bill
This post is not an attack.
Although your loyalty is admirable Bill is quite capable of his own defense and does it well
The OP is about internet censorship

...the Department of Justice could force search engines, browsers, and service providers to block users' access to websites, and scrub the American Internet clean of any trace of their existence.

One step at a time. Thanks for the info kylight. I signed.

If this is your idea of a joke, sweetie, it's not funny. Each of us in being online here must refrain from attacking the one who pays the bills. That's just how it is cupcake.

I hardly know Bill except for watching his interviews and what he writes here on Avalon. However, I find what you just said to be in the poorest of taste and unkind. If you still don't get it ~ no act of Congress can help you.

Click here if you're on Facebook, I'm always looking for new friends wherever I roam. How about you? ; )

The new Internet Blacklist Bill as in a bill in parliment or congress as in u.s, not bill as in bill ryan.lol

Darla, I must say you gave me a good chuckle there...
read again, carefully.

Not everyone hates our Bill.
But maybe we should really start refering to him as King Arthur, to avoid future misunderstandings...

I received this email aswell... Nothing uncharacteristic about it,
Ive been getting updates from Demandprogress.org for months, my bs detector hasnt gone haywire..

The paradox: Can you "fight" the system with/through the system itself? (Like, what happened to NESARA?)
