The ''republic'' shouldn't be allowed to use it ever.
Not until ALL the counties and ALL the provinces can use it.
THEN, it can be the national flag.

How ridiculous. I read Gerry Adams' autobiography a number of years ago, it was a real eye opener for me. If I remember rightly, one of the things which most incensed him was not being allowed to carry the Irish flag. The phenomenon was quite widespread and, obviously, fuelled the flames of militant republicanism.
If people in the republic are going to be told to keep their national flag hidden for fear of offending an in-bred German, then could this possibly lead to a new conflagration ? Is that the intent ?
