Future by Design shares the life and far-reaching vision of Jacque Fresco, considered by many to be a modern day Da Vinci. Peer to Einstein and Buckminster Fuller, Jacque is a self-taught futurist who describes himself most often as a "generalist" or multi-disciplinarian -- a student of many inter-related fields. He is a prolific inventor, having spent his entire life (he is now 90 years old) conceiving of and devising inventions on various scales which entail the use of innovative technology. As a futurist, Jacque is not only a conceptualist and a theoretician, but he is also an engineer and a designer. Written by Gazecki, William

I haven't watched this particular video in a few years, but I know that Jacque Fresco is heavily affiliated with The Venus Project (which is the stated goal of the Zeitgeist Movement). Unfortuanately, The Venus Project has the exact same ideologies as the NWO, but is presented to appear as though it is a utopian society.

I respect your take on Jacques Fresco. However, I have only ever heard him talk sense. The universal access idea, as a way of moving out of the present day markets, presented in Zeitgiest Moving Forward I think is particularly brilliant, and the view of poverty I share. I don't know about the Venus project yet, but will up it on my to do list.

It's been a long time since I left the Zeitgeist Movement, but if the orientation video is still on their website it lays everything out about The Venus Project quite neatly, although I sincerely urge people to watch it with educated eyes.

IIRC someone here pointed out that if you attempt talking to these people about incorporating free energy into their grand designs they get very riled up or dismissive, which I found strange to say the least.

One could of course say any subsequent future we get to live 'by design' is, a priore, based on decisions we make today...

Might be interesting to see if those with such lofty plans can demonstrate their bonfides first, with say a simple task, like supplying clean food and water for those currently starving. Should be a snap for anyone claiming to be qualified in building utopias. :p

Of course if the design team is from Magrathea and the clients are the Mice then I'll happily eat all those words!!

Fresco is way ahead of his time.

People will look back and wonder why we didn't give his ideas more thought.

I agree with you Positive Vibe Merchant,

I have researched Fresco quite a bit and he is a Genius with real common sense. I don't think he is affiliated with NWO as he truly believes that if the world took on his ideas for a new way of living and economic views there would be more than enough food for all and many more. He really believes in sharing resources and using wind, solar and water power to fuel our needs. The Venus project moved away from Zeitgeist as they realized they have different value's and missions.

I think his work is so entrenched in the above energy resources he would have to rethink all his designs and start anew and he is 90 years old so that is probably part of the resistance. Also he quite a realist and I'm sure because he can see, feel or experience Free Energy it is not real to him.

He also does not believe in religious dogma and may even be an atheist but I'm not sure. He has some hard line views about raising children as well and also believes that if we lived in a world of abundance people would make better choices about having a lot of children and limit themselves to 1 or 2 and that is his suggestion also. This may be where some people think he is NWO but it is because he is a realist and every thing to him has to make common sense. Thus it makes sense to him that people should take care not to over populate the earth.

He could see the way the world was headed over 60 years and has spent 75 years presenting solutions in addressing all area of great concern today. If you go to the Venus Project website you will see he doesn't leave out a thing, and addresses everything from enough food for all, lots of recreation and creative time, no one has to work unless they want to, no money system, education, etc. He is heavy into automation which has some concerns for me but other than that I think he is pretty right on with his concepts and solutions.

Anyway I do admire his inventions and pure genius and believe the world has missed the boat in not listening to him 50 years ago, as he has had many of the Venus Project ideas from that long ago.

Unfortunately Sandy, I believe you are right. 'His' world, has missed the boat. I could live in a fresco world. It is a shame that people misinterpret his visions as NWO. I think part of the reason he split with The Zeitgeist Movement is that he is now what... 93/94 yo, and seeing how many times we could have changed the way we live to be more sustainable and embrace technology, would make anyone upset and angry.

By all means, he doesn't have all the answers, but if even 1 of them were implemented the world would be a far better place.

That's good to know! My knowledge must be a bit outdated! I always liked his vision of the future to be honest. :)
