Those houses almost look like miniature models... It's terrible that these homeowners have to go to such extremes to protect what's dear to them.These homes in Vicksburg are all situated along the Yazoo River, a tributary of the overflowing Mississippi River, and their owners have surrounded themselves with tons of earth and sand.

Hey Gaia,
Americans are amazing, aren't they? These photos show people trying to protect their properties from the intentional flooding. I feel sorry for those that couldn't do the same.
Man should take care of man and leave Nature to take care of itself.
