It requires extreme mental fortitude to go against hard-wiring, and conformity is hard wired because it can help us survive as members of "Society" So many sheeple feel comfortable seeing the pear because they are afraid of their own shadows which are actually the hidden hand of the zionist mafia.
Each time the US government presents the public with "Evidence" that they bagged Osama, it becomes increasingly obvious that it's a hoax. And yet the US government each time is increasingly more forceful in its determination that the public accept it as truth. People who openly question are insulted and ridiculed. It seems the US government's attitude is shut up and accept it.This all reminds me of a really good video about the effect the need for conformity has on perception: If you show 20 people a picture of an apple and ask them what they see and 19 have been instructed to say "Pear", the 20th person will likely say apple at first. If you repeat this long enough the 20th person will eventually give in to popular opinion and will say pear just to be accepted as one of the group.
The media are flooding us with disinformation and mocking anyone who questions it because they know that the need to conform will eventually kick in and the majority of people will accept it as truth.
I also think they used the same tactic with the assassination of JFK,MLK, 9/11. They told everyone the apple was in fact a pear over and over until finally everyone saw a pear.

Thanks Gaia, good stuff. It never hurts to be reminded how susceptible we all are to very basic tactics. I torture myself every morning by watching an hour or so of a national news show that is so rife with stuff from your video and disinformation that in a weird way is good practice in patience and not letting my head explode.
The normalcy bias is also one I see affecting people every day. It's almost a joke really when we really begin to become aware of how much we are surrounded by this stuff.

Thank you Gala for posting this video, it's the way I feel about the media and especially religion. I was brought up all my life in a religious background and I conformed to religion and not to question "why" but except it because " that is the way it is and don't question the bible because it is "God's word" ".

Thanks for this. This post resonates with me as i've witnessed this 'brainwashing' on a personal level very recently - someone close to me, who was previously becoming very open minded, has become very closed because of watching a lot of sky news (especially over the Bin Laden stuff)! I believe that they will self question this shift in themselves eventually and it will be a catalyst for them - i hope :-)
All the disinformation is basic (and not so basic) mind control imho... And i believe that's one of the ways the construct functions - all those people focus on the 'fed' way of perceiving events and that then becomes the consensus, socially accepted/acceptable view - self propagating. This is why so many people, i think, struggle to wake up. The very act of questioning is censored and disapproved of.
Thankfully the apple remains an apple no matter who or how many say it's a pear. For those who have the eyes, ears and desire for it :) Truth remains truth regardless of how many disagree.
Thanks for the thought provoking post!

Great post ! Welcome to Avalon my friend:)
The solution, however, is counter mocking. What I mean is we need to mock people who are conforming to the government's propaganda. A good standby is to type sheep noises after pro governement comments on websites, but really you have to rely on your wit to discern the best mocking for the situation. Stop using facts people are not believing the governement because of facts and start using mocking.

Thanks, Gaia -'they' know all about the ego mind and how to control it and thereby us - the only thing is that they don't know about the higher mind. But then, a lot of the population don't know about it either.
And until they do they are going to remain under the influence.
It's crazy when you think about it - to think that they know our mind better than we do.

It's pathetic the way movies and television have conditioned young minds to seek fame above all other considerations, including their own emotional, mental, financial and physical survival. It eventually covers the sheep like behaviour of the media and shows how they are so closely connected with governement that many of their own members end up as politicians.
I keep hearing from gardeners how our spring has been coming earlier every year. I don't see it, but they do because they have been conditioned to believe in "Global warming". Will they even be able to absorb this media report that still upholds the notion of "Climate change"

It is pathetic - and it's pathetic that we let them - but then, when you think about it, what chance did we have? Without the internet how many of us would have stopped buying into the system?
It's diabolical, that's what it is. And I have to say they did a fabulous job with screwing with our minds. But, now we know they have been, we need to reclaim them.
May the day come when not one person chooses to turn on the TV set.
The zombies are already here - and have been for quite a while :-&
How is this for super pathetic. It was an experiment - but people didn;t know that and thought they were on a game show and they actually thought they killed a person.
"Game show contestants laugh as they 'kill' a man in bizarre French TV torture experiment" is the Daily mail headline.

These people don't realize rather than being "Normal" they are exibiting signs of mental illness which always involves either an inability to perceive reality or a compulsive desire to deny it.

For 10 years, many TV programs make more and more extreme. They depict the cruelty, humiliation, elimination of man by man. The deepest taboos of our society are violated. A favorite theme of science fiction becomes relevant: When is the game of death in prime time? This question can not be mad scanned. What would it take for such a game exists ?
1. Candidates.
2. An audience.
3. A string that agrees to distribute.
4. Viewers who have wanted to watch it...
Some broadcasters have no limits. It's time to discover this reality. We must question the power of television.

I must say business as usual they have known for years that when advertising...Making a speech, whatever...If they wish to influence your beliefs, which will influence your behavior...They target their message at the right brain section...for example...a politician running for office might say...
Or the federal deficit will rise by two-hundred billion dollars in the first quarter of the year(Neo-cortex) This will make it neccessary for us to cut welfare, and your grandmother will be eating cat food for the rest of her life (Reptillian) We need to pass this new tax, so that our parents can live in dignity (Mammilian)...
The government,advertisers...scientists...they have all known for years about the Three Brain Theory in which your brain absorbs different messages in seperate sections of your brain. Fear=reptillian Emotion=mamillian and information=neo-cortex.
...So the game will just continue, until we understand how to stand up to it, react to it and stop the lies.

Absolutely - there is no rationale involved with the thinking of an abnormal mindset - but question it, or expose it and the reaction will be anger.

Excellent thread thanks.
If only i could have gotten my parents to watch this when i was 3, they might have let me at least express a little of who i was,
and spent less time trying to stuff me into a very small square box, which of course i never fit into.
Thank God now i have a group of people around me where non - conforming is, well not only embraced, but ENCOURAGED.
As we know schools and religion do their very best to shake any creatively out of us.
I LOve Geoffery Robertson's first TED talk on this, for those that haven't seen it, its a classic.

It's funny too, that they also use non-conformity to get us to conform......

Thank you for posting this, Gaia. Excellent video...I had to share it on my FB page.
I've never been much of a comformist :p It's funny though that throughout my stages of awakening I always surprised how many of these people along the way or groups that I feel drawn to at the time are still conformists within that group structure.....this is usually my cue to exit stage left. ;)
Isn't this how tv shows, movies, actors and actresses, speakers, etc become popular? Absolutely!! I see it every day.

I haven't yet finished this, astrid, but I just love it! He is just wonderful!
I started to space out at around 5:50 because I was thinking about what he stated "if you are not prepared to be wrong, you will never come up with anything original". I was thinking about this earlier today when I was viewing art by a few different artists and as a artist myself (and owned a gallery) I'm always intriqued at how some art that is so "perfect" is so uninspiring and without any personality or soul to it. They don't leave room for "anything new"...for the more creative side to come through. Some people want "perfect"....not me! When looking for new artists to represent I didn't want someone to come in with a 20 page resume and portfolio of paintings that could have been mistaken for photographs because they were meticulously executed.
Do schools kill creativity? I absolutely believe so and one of the many reasons I homeschool my son. He is so incredibly smart and talented with amazingly creative thoughts and ideas that I know would have been, at the very least, heavily dampened if not completely washed away had we sent him school.
Anyway, back to the video.... :)

Sir Ken Robinson's presentations are beautiful. Thank you so much Astrid:) I wish they could be brought to fruition. However, it seems that such pedagogies will only exist in a small number of private schools with access to only a limited number of fortunate students. The public school teacher's unions are too deeply rooted and too focused on the welfare of the teachers and not the students for public education to blossom.

The twelve-year process of an North American public education has a dramatic effect on the mind of a child. When we first enter school at age five, many of our best personal attributes are already in place. We are curious, innovative, unique, creative and hopeful in ways that we will rarely be able to replicate throughout the rest of our lives. But over time, school sucks those essential attributes out of too many of us...And replaces them with predictability, obedience and apathy.

The Stephen King book was awesome. The concept of reality TV probably seemed outrageous or at least far fetched in 1982, when The Running Man first appeared. Now it seems disturbingly prescient.
