View Full Version : A What-If Savior Scenario

Please bear with me as this is something that has been rattling around in my brain for a while now. Keep in mind this is not a 'plug' for one side or the other, nor is it a prediction of any kind. No, this is a "what if" scenairo.
Imagine if you will, a series of crises;
national (economic collapse or imminent collapse),
global (upsurge in devestating storms and solar flares as well as earthquakes and the like)
Now, imagine that you are given two options;
1). A friendly alien force that claims it was sent to help humanity and save them from the impending global collapse (come to our starships and we'll whisk you away until it is safe to return). This force has been verified by governments and scientists as a legitimate contact and the threat to the planet (from the impending crises) is very real.
2). A Savior of the Biblical (or ancient religion) type (fear me, worship me, submit your will to me and acknowledge me as your savior and I will save you) who says he will save his elect from the impending crises (spiritual and physical). This savior has been accepted by one or several of the major religions, and has verified their deity with various miracles etc.
These two options are given to you simultaneously. Now keep in mind that you are (persoally) facing extreme circumstances; global instability, national unrest etc. What would you do? Would you:
1). Accept the ET's offer.
2). Throw your lot in with the Biblical Savior or,
3). Tell them both "thanks anyway" and ride it out on your own?
Thanks for taking part! :)

I would stay here finding my own path. Not because I fear Et's or spiritual beings whether STS or STO, but simply because I feel Like I'm supposed to stay here on this planet. For whatever reason, still not sure yet.
Hopefully if a scenario like this ever happened, I would be confident enough in my path to help others survive and continue theirs as well.
Its all very intense to think about.

it is a strange thing to say but it is true

waiting to burst forth like a sun
when you realize God within
then You shine like Savior

You took the words out of my mouth with this one. I have a very deep connection to this planet; her energies etc. And personally I can't imagine taking either the ET's or the Savior up on their offer, primary reason being that I feel that there is something I'm meant to do here - something that needs to be seen through to the end.
But that is not to say that others would not feel that their path would lead away from earth. There are many who say they have never felt at home here, would that influence their decision? Or perhaps the offer would be a test to see if they (or us - or anyone) is truly willing to stick with Gaia through thick and thin.
Again, this is just speculation :)

Yes, by acknowledging 'god in us' we accept our responsibility for our own salvation. So, could it be that in a situation such as this a choice of this sort would be given perhaps to encourage us to ACT on that knowledge, and not rely on an outside savior?

lol, you said exactly what I was going to mention. I always found that scene very personal. Not because I would choose that myself, but because it was a great representation of free will and following ones path. His friends understood his choice and accepted it. Quite a piece of cinema and pertinent to this topic.

I remember when I was about 5-years old, I put my hand over a candle flame and my whole hand caught alight. But my hand did not burn, and I felt no pain, and in awe of the beauty of the flame I looked at my hand in complete calmness for about 1-minute.. Then suddenly my moth turned around, seeing her 5-year old son, me, on fire, she instantly screamed and put the fire out.

Cool - either you've been touched by your particular god, time slowed down for you during that particular incident, or you have aspestos in your DNA. Whichever it is, I'm glad that you don't fear the flame.
However, which would you choose? Or would you?

My understanding is that both the ETs and the Saviour will appear but they will not actually save us but will impart knowledge and wisdom to us which we can use immediately to ascend along with Planet Earth.
This "special knowledge and wisdom" will IMMEDIATELY decrease and eliminate all crises.
So if the ETs or Saviours appear but do not offer us the requisite knowledge and wisdom to resolve the current crises and instead only offer us a chance to "get away", then there is something very suspicious indeed.

Like I said before, this is just a what-if scenario, I expect everyone's responses will be based on their particular backgrounds and/or understanding of what is true etc.
Personally I don't believe that there is information that either ET's or a Savior would be able to impart that we don't already know (and perhaps have just forgotten). But say one or the other (or both) showed up and imparted wisdom - how would you know which was true, and which to accept? I expect there would be very few individuals who would be prone to accepting the advice of such disparate beings as being equally "true." Most certainly one or another group would claim some sort of conspiracy and/or "decption" by demons or some such.
You're right though - my first impression would be that something was very suspicious.

Choosing between a rock and a hard place?
Both parties want us to run away from the mess we are in. (And it is a mess we can and will solve)
Both parties have shady friends. The lying government and the half blind scientific community on one hand, and organized religion on the other hand. Both of these parties have brought us war, famine death and pestilence. I do not expect any saviours from those camps. They are much better at killing them instead.
I will continue to walk my own path, be my own saviour and consider myself blessed to be on this journey with all of you. It is my duty and greatest wish to take care of this beautifull planet.

I'll answer your question with a similar question.
Why couldn't question two be phrased with no editorial comment.
Here's the question.
Who wrote the Book of Revelations and why?
1. Jesus Christ
2. John of Patmos
3. The Collective Consciousness
4. All of the above in a grand compromise.

Maybe the "Earth" has already voted & it just chose to keep its vote secret.

I'm sure you would never accuse Jesus of saying this to his face.
" fear me, worship me, submit your will to me and acknowledge me as your savior and I will save you."
Maybe after a few beers he might even tell you who the Earth voted for.
In case you haven't noticed she doesn't think to kindly of the human race.
Suffice to say if Jesus offers me a free ride home I'll be jumping in the car.
But answering a skewed poll is not acceptable.
The Book of Revelations question reveals your level of understanding.
A clue; Jesus never wrote anything down ever, for a very specific reason.
That reason is exemplified by your editorial insertions into a poll construct.

I meant no disrespect for either the alien scenario (we'll whisk you away in our spaceships) or the biblical savior scenario (fear me, worship me, submit your will to me and acknowledge me as your savior and I will save you).
Both could be seen as disrespectful given your particular perspective on the matter.
Here's the question.
Who wrote the Book of Revelations and why?
The question is irrelevant to the original scenario. As to the following:
I'm sure you would never accuse Jesus of saying this to his face.
" fear me, worship me, submit your will to me and acknowledge me as your savior and I will save you."
I would simply be quoting his own words as spoken through the Bible: "The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom" (Prov. 1:7), "Strangers shall submit themselves to me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient to me." (2nd Samuel 22:45), "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9).
I would hope that - if he were the savior Christianity claims him to be - that he would be willing to explain these statements in a rational manner and not expect blind faith.
I'd be no more likely to believe a biblical savior who asked me to believe in him without a logical reason than I would to put my trust in aliens who claim to have my best interests at heart.

That thought crossed my mind as well (that they could both actually happen). For the point of the scenario it seemed prudent to give both events as happening simultaneously so as not to give one or the other an unfair advantage.
If this were to happen for real, chances are that one scenario would happen in reaction to the other (one appearing and offering, and then the other reacting to that).

Christianity portrays Christ in the Eucharist as the essence of everything and not an 'outside being'
this we can understand
that God must be the Consciousness which animates all things
Lucifer is an angel that appears to his followers as a brilliant light but still he is an angel and not God... but I bet he could fool most of us - even the elect if possible
Lucifer is an 'outside being' like ourselves but much more powerful intelligent and long lasting
it's a trick of Lucifer to imply that Christ is an 'outside being' wanting worship when it is Lucifer himself that is just an 'outside being' wanting worship
Christ Is Consciousness
and therfore above such nonsense as 'inside' and 'outside' ; )

First, I would like to point out none of your biblical quotes are quoting Jesus, at all. The first two are Old Testament prophets, and the third is attributed to the apostle Paul, if I'm not mistaken. The message of the gospels, themselves, is not one of fear. Look to the OT god, and to the writings of Paul, and sure, there is fear.
Secondly, just to throw in my bit, my own contact has always maintained that in such a doomsday scenario we would be engaged strictly on a personal level by any STO ETs in such an event, and that any ET group working through the governments would be by definition STS. They are really hung up on the free will thing, and therefore: believe the ET that shows up in your yard but whatever you do do NOT believe the one on the television. The good guys really want to help, but they want it to be your choice even more.
*edit- the first reference was not a prophet, oops. Non-prophet?

what about the 3rd choice...
the savior shows up and starts fixing the mess this planet is in regardless of what anyone believes...
he tells everyone not to worry seeing the comet streaking for us is really a space craft carrying the survivors from 2 planets which were destroyed, and they will be settling here on earth thankful for the new home.
does anyone think they would have traveled for light years to be here just in time for earths destruction?
I wonder if after they are settled, if they will let us go for a ride on ET's ship that landed on top of the one demanding the world follow him to be saved... ;)

I dont think humanity would shurk the respnsability of fixing the earth when the truth is out, if we had time to . Nor would we agree to be saved if it wasn't absoluty clear that the earth was going to end very soon. Could we be manipulated into thinking that this was going to happen? I think not, it would be obvious.
I would just be following my truth. Those that stay behind and fight for survival are also absolutey necessary, we are covering all bases for all timelines.
It is my understanding that the consciousness of the earth and humanity are one, and also the ascension will be happening pretty soon. It would take a long time for the human consciousness and reallity to, from chaos, evolve back to the point we are at now let alone to 5d. This would cause massive imbalance and most probably enviromental destrution.
Again this is my truth, so if I'm going to die, unlikely as it may be. I would wreak havoc on the ones that have been suppressing us for so long. I do not think this is the case though as I belive in benevolent ET's aswell as manevolant ET's. Also that humanity has been influenced by both. My intuition is my guide and i trust it implicitly.

My favorite jeans, my broke in boot A life time supply of organic coffee and french vanilla creamer and a bottle of good tequila. The chances of the mother ship not having the right kind of ice cream or may have some supreme ultimate higher being notions about junk food is too great.
well, if you take all that, then i'm taking my 2 pups, tomcat, 5 kids, and my library of vodka. if nothing else, we can get them drunk........ and teach them how to smoke....... lol.... i'm sure they would except you as the most funnest party girl there. be brave. you got the tequila......
warmest, corson

Not directly quoting him, but he did say, in Matthew 5:15 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." which pretty much says that christ "approves of this message" as listed in the OT.
What is WITH Paul, anyway? You have Christ pretty much being love and light, and paul turns around and drives everyone into the ground again :/

heh- don't laugh, I've actually taught bible study (long story, I originally majored in theology). And I swear, some of the people in those classes would have benefitted from a Margarita, or maybe just a straight shot of Tequila. What I wanted to say to so may is "loosen up a little people - if you can't handle a question of faith with good grace (and without getting defensive) you won't have a chance of convincing anyone of your truth"?
But I digress...

You're right though - my first impression would be that something was very suspicious.
before 2011, a lot of people would be kept in the dark...
now, i am sure everyone's eyes has opened by now.. they would know what is the truth..

I'll answer your question with a similar question.
Why couldn't question two be phrased with no editorial comment.
Here's the question.
Who wrote the Book of Revelations and why?
1. Jesus Christ
2. John of Patmos
3. The Collective Consciousness
4. All of the above in a grand compromise.
:mad2::high5::mad2:

Truth IS Truth
What if everyone has voted except the global elite and they don't even know about it yet?
This will explain the missed quakes during the past few weeks!
Eureka! :faint2::madgrin::rolleyes:

I'm not here to give answers,
so I will ask one question:
Can you really trust anyone but yourself?

IF.. 1 and 2 actually exist..THEN..#3 becomes instantly viable. The choice becomes one of the kick you want from the given choice. Ie, which ride do i want to try out in this amusement park?
It is a 'all bets are off on the nature of reality' poser, and therefore all three are a matter of personal choice on their ramifications and all three may be perfectly valid. Heck, I'd just split in three and try each.
I would develop the perfect Monty Python attitude and live each one as the giant non-stop 'Seinfeld moment' that they would be...as written and scripted by Douglas Adams.
You know..kinda like I live now.

my inner discordian strongly believes that everyone making any reference to paul from now on should make the distinction of which paul they might be referring to, the Mod or the Messenger of God.
sorry, TM, I have gotten tickled and I can't help myself. Sorry for any offence, it all in good fun. What do you think, Paul the Mod?

I did something similar to # 1 before and eventually ended up here...damn it....so that's out.
Terribly suspicious of anyone trying to 'save' me - so # 2 is out.
Have to go with 3 and wing it. After reading this thread, looks like not on my own though!
