View Full Version : Obama's Birth Certificate is a major distraction
Humble Janitor
27th May 2011, 02:35
I've said it before and I will continue to say it again. The birth certificate obsession is a far bigger distraction to issues in this country than anything else that TPTB throws at us.
How many threads and posts have been wasted on this needless issue?
The bigger conspiracy lies in the way that TPTB uses the birther issue to distract people on sites like this.
With all the strange stuff going on in our world today, do we really need such distractions?
I hate to see Avalon become one of those sites where people drone on and on and on about such things.
I think I will re-consider my participation in this community. I am tired of websites that masquerade as "alternative media" sites and then proceed to censor anyone who dares go against the agenda.

Agree... the same with 9/11. I think its a given that is was an inside job.
Banging on about the details is just wasting time and energy , and it does little to raise your vibration.
Surely by now, people can see that part of the MO is distracting us from discovering who we really are??
WE are powerful as individuals, but collectively we can move mountains.
I think some here are starting to see that, with the asking for assistance threads.
You have a point HJ, but im also seeing a shift away from finger pointing and blaming,
towards thinking about and formulating solutions.
The shift is happening.

Well I am so angry right now that I can't see straight.
I thought sites like this were supposed to promote the SOLUTION to the crap that TPTB feed this world.
Instead, you can still be censored and your posts removed because the distracted do not like your (strong) opinions.

There are many people who DON'T know yet and you wanna take away their right to discuss something that could be their gateway to the bigger world?
AND you are angry about it?
FFS, get a hold of yourself, what about thinking about the other people, just for a nanosecond?

Oh please, enough with that nonsense.
There are plenty of other sites that cater to said birther nonsense.
It's a great distraction though. While the sheeple argue over a piece of paper, TPTB rapes them some more.
Quite a win-win situation there, do ya think?

....
One more. Be your solution.
No offense Humble Janitor, but what are you angry about exactly? Is it the use of the birther issue to distract, or is it the use of sites "like these" to allow people to be distracted? I can't help but wonder why you would post such a thread, or re-hash this old tune if you really believe that the topic is a wasted thread on this needless issue? Why mention it? It seems to have no logic. I agree with Asrid, the change is coming, lets embrace it within ourselves...N

We need to be offering both, information to wake people up, then way to help them see solutions.
But getting stuck on the blame train is a very common problem, it's all a lot of other sites do.
I think when someone moves past that, and eventually you do, you go looking for solutions.
and there is certainly much less of that type of info out there.
Moving beyond duality and thinking that we have to hate them and find fault is the ticket out of here.

This site will remain open for people who want to discuss such things. If you wish to create a thread about how you think the 'birther' issue is being used to distract people, by all means do so (and point Dorok over there, he'd appreciate it) but please don't try to say that it is a topic Avalon shouldn't be discussing.

what about the people for whom this topic is THE gateway to a higher level of comprehension of the bigger picture?
You want to deny them that for a selfish reason.
And what about people who come here to post on that topic, but find so much more, like happened to me?
I came here because of a topic I found on the google search engine, followed the link and went WOW! I want in.

It appears that HJ is mainly upset about having his perspective censored which is manifesting as centered on the topic being debated. In other words, less about the birthed issue and more about an equal, opposing voice being stifled.
I offer this only as an observation; I don't pretend to know the details of the actual event.

I'm very interested in the birther question and I'm happy that we have an opportunity to discuss it here. If I wasn't interested in this topic, I would just go to another thread. I wouldn't presume to call anyone's interest in a subject "nonsense" and neither should anyone else here.

G'day All,
I don't pretend to understand the preoccupation America has with a bit of paper (though I do understand there is a legal requirement etc for someone to be elected 'El Presidente' and the reasons for it) and regard the subject of Obama's birth certificate as having been a bit over done. That being said, I don't really understand what the problem is that has made HJ so angry. If you don't like it, don't read it or engage with it.
Much has been made of Project Avalon being Bill's home and his right to do as he pleases because of this. Indeed this is an unusual forum as it is mostly public viewable yet has a form of discernment as to member selection. In general I view forums not as a home but as a pub (tavern). There's all sorts of characters at my local. Blokes who sit at the end of the bar 'til closing moaning about their lives, wives, jobs, ex-wives, kids, the government, the list is only limited by their imagination. There's the young lads and lassies who are out for a "bit of fun". There's the pool shark who sits and waits biding his time for a mark. There's the young couple who fight, make up, fight, make up (sometimes leave together and sometimes apart). I could go on but suffice to say there are all sorts at my local. All with their own agenda's, problems, personalities and wants. Over the years I've chatted with variations on this theme in many different pubs. Sometimes I've leant something, and seen a problem from a different perspective, others not. I've sat and listened more than anything and watched the parade go by. That is what a forum is to me. It's a pub. Bill is the owner, the moderators are the staff and we great unwashed mass are the patrons that assist in giving the place a certain atmosphere.
This pub has a theme of 'alternative media' which is based on the owner (Bill) having done many interviews. The patrons are not the pub, they only assist in creating the atmosphere. When they disturb the carefully formed ambience of the pub they are "cut off", kicked out for the night and if they continue they're banned. It's as simple as that. The recent changes involved disgruntled staff going and starting another pub. That's all.
Anyway, I'm off down the local to watch the parade go by and listen to some Chisel. Might even have a game of pool or two.

What energy one brings to the discussion, is a choice. Is it really this site that has gotten you so riled?
I too get frustrated with the quagmire and notice a plethora of Icke-site-links. Its oookkkaaaayyyyy.
Astrid, not all are as awake as others. We need to allow a platform for all. I, for one, am grateful that I dont have to surf and mine endless sites. I chew on what resonates and spit out the rest. 50 years ago, we were literally in a cave i.r.o information. 150 years ago, we were blissfully without MSM as we know it. 250 years ago we rode ox-carts....

I guess too, one of the issues here that might be worth discussing is whether after you "get it" as far as how things are operating in this matrix,
which is for the whole what the PC/PA material is all about, ( IMO anyways),
whether at that point you stay around to help others "get it" too
or whether you move on to other material that is resonating with the next part of your growth.
And i hate using the "levels" concept as it comes across as arrogant, which i'm not intending it to be...
at all.
Oneness , of course being the aim of the game.....
I also wanted to add.. that i'm not for a second saying that i know everything,
far from it.

Wow, you're going to re-consider participating because people want to discuss Obama and the most likely fake (imo) birth certificate.
Many have come and gone here, maybe one day I'll be one of those guys, but it'll be for a valid reason if that day ever comes, and not because people are discussing something that I'm not interested in or don't believe in.
Here's an idea, if a subject does not interest you, rather than leave the forum or stop participating, its possible to not click the link - just a suggestion. why look at a post where people, in your own words "drone on and on"?
Most people here a well balanced good people, looking to connect with others like themselves - do you really want to cut yourself off?
Ask youself, do you get better people elsewhere? I think you'll find that any forum with similar interests such as Camelot, Nexus, David Icke forum etc., will talk about this issue. I'd also like to add, that you've contributed to the Obama discussion by starting this topic.
With all due respect, I'd like to remind you that your comment the other day on another Obama thread (which I believe the Mods have pulled you up on), which I won't repeat for those who missed it, put you in a position where maybe if I had my way I'd ask you to leave anyway, unless you apologised.
However, Bill Ryan and the mods (still sounds like a band to me!!) have obviously let you stay, which I respect, regardless of what I think. And guess what, even though I may disagree with their decision, I'm not about to leave this community, and as you've been lucky enough to be allowed to remain here, maybe you should use this opportunity to tune in, chill out, and enjoy the rides that interest you.
I've changed a lot, and for the better since joining the community, and I hope the same happens for you.
Off topic:
Good taste in music though, Black Sabbath rule - I saw them on the 'Last Supper' tour a few years back, with System of a Down supporting - would have been a great night if I didn't have the flu!

I'm blaming Lord Sid and Carmody for going off topic, but Iommi is a genius! You know he was told by the docs he'd never play guitar again, but he refused to believe that, so he down tuned and I think that's when the band 'Earth' became Black Sabbath. I apologise in advance for going even more off topic, but I write, produce a lot of rock and metal, and believe it or not, I got dropped from my manager because he decided that I was listening to and participating in the music of the devil (his own words). Yes people, even in 2011, people can still be THAT stupid. Ozzy is about as satanic as a fry up breakfast!

I agree 100% And I think this is why Alex Jones is allowed to have a decent sized platform - he only focuses on the corruption - never really connecting the dots further than IDing the NWO but certainly never discusses how our spiritual nature has been suppressed.
I don't think TPTB care if people know that 9/11 was an inside job but I think it scares them to death that humans will discover their inner spiritual self and the powers that apparently come along with it (so i've been told, still trying to get there meself :)

For those who are not U.S. citizens, I'm sure that this issue will essentially bore you to tears. However, those who are U.S. citizens and are not blindly mesmerized by Obama, will understand the absolute imperative importance of this issue being recognized, analyzed and finalized by the courts.
Just a side note......I supported Obama and was very happy that he was elected. I did this with anticipation that his actions as President would help to neutralize the horrific damage of the Bush regime. How wrong can one be? My error.
Speaking of solutions, we need to find one!

There is a thing called balance that I definitely believe in. IMO, it is imperative that we know what is going on around us. We came to this 3rd dimension to experience and learn. And, in the process, expand and grow consciously and vibrationally.
Where I am not referring to anyone else on this thread, I cannot sit and meditate all day (although not a bad idea at all) and accomplish all that I came here to Earth to accomplish. My interests are varied and I have an inner responsibility to speak up and out when I encounter an aspect of this Earth that I know is harmful to humanity.
We grow by learning and experiencing. We sometimes have to get our conscious hands a little dirty. By setting aside the fear and bringing the dark side into the light, I believe that our vibration rises exponentially.
