This film has every conceivable Arabian tale ever told, in an interesting tale within a tale format... flying carpets, magic lamps, court intrigue, assassins, Ali Baba, Aladdin... very well produced film...

But those who have read the book can see the «Twist« made on the original story...

..still, it is fun to watch!

The JINN, from the INNER EARTH

The Jinn from a scientific(?) viewpoint by Chris Line, Flying Saucer Review
Consultant Excerpts follow :

This article came about as a result of a discussion concerning the nature of
the JINN, and their apparent activity in the UFO and psychic fields.

Jinns
are beings which dwell on a parallel level to man, but due to their existing at
a different vibratory rate, they are not normally visible to us or detectable
by us.
In spite of this invisibility, when UFO events or psychic events
occur, there are often changes in an energy that we can measure - and this is
the electro-magnetic spectrum.

Our starting point is with the traditions of
Islam, and, in particular, the Qur'an, which contains some quantity of
information of a metaphysical nature, a proportion of which deals with the
Jinn.

The Temple Mount [see map : [link to www.templemount.org] ] is
an underground area named Solomon's stables. The underground halls are made of

12 pillared avenues which differ from one another in length.

The northern wall
contains a gem stone. Due of the impressive construction of these stables and
the mystique surrounding them, Solomon's stables are an important part of
popular Muslim tradition.

Their myth has it that there was a need for "the Jinn
intervention" (a demon), so this demon carried the massive stones to their
place. "This was carried out according to Solomon's order," it is said, because
he "was known to rule over all the demons."

One of the best kept secrets in the world is that the REAL mountain where Moses was given the 10 Commandments is in northwest Saudi Arabia and not the Sinai Peninsula.~

The place where Moses made and raised the ten commandments of god, but there are still undiscovered places in Saudi Arabia known only to the camel Bedouin raiser, situated near jordan border ,it's a mountainous slopes and you can see the small replica of Petra.

There is even a place in Saudi Arabia ,where they cover the mountain with asphalt to protect them from thiefs excavating gold and then they put up a military camp on the foot of it .
It is situated near makkah area and if you are a frequent flier on domestic flights, you can't miss that mountain, when you are near to touch down, at Jeddah Airport.

People working at the middle east, specifically in Saudi Arabia oil wells in the middle of the desert, noticed a lot of ancient undocumented ruins which bare the mark and writings of Egyptian Hieroglyphs some even of Hebrew origin, that are located along the coast line, that streches between Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, on a barren desert .

Local peoples who speak Arabic speaking Bedouin's, tell fascinating stories about the ruins and how the OTTOMAN empire stashed and destroyed those ancient landmarks.
Since the Saudi and Yemen are both conservative Muslims, they are not giving any importance on ancient non Muslim structures on their country.
Those ruins, some were still undisturbed by any western diggings because there is a fear that local people would probably kidnap any westerners that would try to visit the place.

There is a 2 house like building structures that were carved along the cliff of Saudi Arabia, that it is almost same as the Petra Structures, in Jordan. For the look of it , it's of greek origin, the design and even the headless statues and broken pottery scattered along the desert. Yet it is still undiscover, even by the Saudi government.

Recently discovered artifact at Saudi Arabia by local detector finders that they are surprised to unearth Egyptian Artifact sfar beyond Egypt.

The Arabian Nights were huge in influencing the idea of magic in middle ages Europe.
The Richard Burton translation is top notch.

This coast to coast interview was very illuminating on the Djinn.
