Earthquake reporting.

I have noticed this sub-forum at the top of the News and Updates section.

It has well over 300 threads but only a handful of replies. The problem is that if you are interested in such things, and I am, you will know that there are 5.0+ RS earthquakes virtually every day, so perhaps it might be better to only have quakes which measure over 6.0. It seems a bit of a waste of effort and where I appreciate that someone is taking the time to put this information here I do wonder if those 300+ threads might be contributing, even in a small way, to the overall treacle-slow speed of these forums at times.

I subscribe to the proposition of ArtyCarl, to post only close to 6 or greater quakes.

I'm monitoring the news section via an RSS-reader and the frequent earthquake postings make the overview a bit difficult to read.
Also, I've already chosen a separate source for earthquake monitoring (emsc-csem.org) and get different results there (can't tell, which one's more accurate), so I delete the entries manually for better overview.

Nevertheless, it's not at all a big problem.

I believe they are generated automatically by USGS (http://www.earthquake.usgs.gov/)
