FYI:

Britain will further tighten its grip on workers if they continue with their plans to stage industrial action against the government's austerity measures.

Business Secretary Vince Cable will warn Britain's General Union's (GMB) conference in Brighton today that planned strike actions would force the government to consider tougher anti-strike laws, British media reported.

The warning comes as up to one million workers are expected to walk out their jobs on June 30 in protest against the spending cuts program. More concerted actions are planned for autumn to show unions' strength.

Vince Cable, the Liberal Democrat Business Secretary, will acknowledge in his speech at the Brighton conference that "feelings are running high" in the union movement, but he will also call for "cool heads" on all sides.

"The usual suspects will call for general strikes and widespread disruption. This will excite the usual media comments about 'a summer' or 'an autumn' of discontent.
And another group of the usual suspects will exploit the situation to call for the tightening of strike law”, Cable will say.

"We are undoubtedly entering a difficult period. Cool heads will be required all round. Despite occasional blips, I know that strike levels remain historically low, especially in the private sector. On that basis, and assuming this pattern continues, the case for changing strike law is not compelling", the Business Secretary will say.

But he will add: "Should the position change, and should strikes impose serious damage to our economic and social fabric, the pressure on us to act would ratchet up. That is something which both you, and certainly I, would wish to avoid."

Vince Cable is a poodle for the New World Order.

It was Vince Cable who wrote part of the Agenda 21 preamble for his master Maurice Strong, many years ago.

Sir David Steele the former leader of the Liberal Party is generally considered to be a member of the committee of 300. Many also now consider Vince Cable may have been escalated into the Committee 300 by Sir David Steele.

Both are on the Watch List.

Vince Cable only very recently got into trouble for saying he'd do whatever he could to oppose Rupert Murdoch's takeover of BSkyB.
