View Full Version : 39. Trick the public and then treat them.
Hello.
I have something to discuss which might upset a few people, this is not my intention. We are going to talk about my tummy (no, that is not, the upsetting part). I used to be a athlete, well, a fencer in the British foil squad. Now I swim every day. As I've got older, this thing appeared above my navel. No, it wasn't a chakra, I was looking like my Dad, but a little more pregnant! Most gentlemen of a certain age seem to acquire this added piece of …..fat! I just could not get rid of it.
I've been a vegetarian most of my life, but somehow I seemed to be getting more and more tired. I've been to all sorts of medical and alternative type people, but have just got worse. I got to a stage when I thought, well boy, you are just getting old.
I finally found a man, who said my kidneys and adrenal gland were more than a bit run down. We spoke about diet. Here comes the upsetting bit.
The tummy was due to carbohydrates. My diet has been killing me, and most others too. It seems that the 'healthy food industry' and the pharmaceuticals companies are in bed together, this includes the media. To quote one doctor, they have introduced “Industrial slaughter!”
The cholesterol level has been set too low. The introduction of fear. We need cholesterol.
Why are people dying from cancer and heart disease? Too much carbohydrates and cereal and not enough........................fat!!!! I've gone all woozy just saying the word. Also five pieces of fruit a day is NOT good for you, too much fructose.
According to this person, we should be eating as our grand parent. In the past 20 years the food companies are feeding us ill health, that's when the doctors step in and finish us off with 'statins'.
The details and data are too long to write about here. The data is from Barry Groves book TRICK AND TREAT, trick the public and then treat them. His web site is called Second Opinion. You can email him with questions. I have his authority to mention his name.
People do not die of old age any more.
Since my wife and I discovered that life was not as it seems, we have turned everything we have been told upside down, and had a really good look. The wife doesn't get headaches, back aches, joint ached any more, feels better and has lost weight. I am still at the observation stage about tiredness, but the lump in front has gone. This is after a months trial.
Diet of course is a personal matter, and no one can tell others what to eat. Some people's systems are more disposed to meat than others.
Then there is the spiritual question..? I don't think one can be dogmatic about this. I have dined with Tibetan lamas and have eaten meat with them. Your health and that of your children are important.
Barry Groves states that ADHD and the onset of puberty is down to modern diet.
This is a huge subject. Your body is a bio-computer it needs oil...I mean FAT!!!!! Natural fats.
Look up Pemmican, it could save your life in the future.
Tony
Oh, I forgot to say, this is not the Atkins diet.

I will just stick with my Gammon egg and chips thanks
I do not drink 8 cups of water a day or do the 5 a day thing. We were advised to do this years ago.(I wonder why)
I believe people’s genetics are already made up for them. Meaning some people will die early some people will die old that just the way life is. Now some people wont agree with my comment but i believe your times up when your times up. I do not follow guidelines i eat what i won’t when i want. My bloods are fine and cholesterol
P.S my friend what does the 39 stand for

Thanks Pie'n'eal, think there's a lot in this. Statins - one of the biggest cons - even sold over the counter in Boots. And now they say that hmmm may not be good for you after all - altho' that was obvious all along. Sunlight - now that's very good for you.

i believe that its the amount and how you cook the food that makes it good or bad for the health. Meat is needed but if you always eat it fried the oil isnt the best for this so as you said IF we see how the older generations used to eat food ... we will be healthier. Now about spirituality ... i believe inelia said something like this ... "its the toxins in the meats that are bad not the meat is self".
So the way we cook needs to be changed and also the amounts we eat. If we stop eating everything then we miss the parts from our diet that those things we stop eating were giving us. What ever you see at fast foods (ANYTHING) is bad. I remember that in the previous generations (70 years +) they never had the new age health problems. The were getting sick from diseases not from bad nutrition like now.
About vegeterians ... well i dont know if all can do it as the body isnt used to just green diet. And ofc if you fry the veges all the time and use sauses and other similar things its the same as easting mean/grease. Ancient Greeks used to say "Πάν μέτρον άριστον" rough translation is "To have proper measure is the best" ... anything overboard is bad.

Ah, you got me there, I don't have an IQ. Got an EQ!
39? Well like your self I'm a bit spontaneous, I also have an awful filing system.
"System? that's not a system!" I hear her cry. "Well", I says to her, "When I'm scrolling the posts, I can find it easier". She replies, "Where would we be if everyone did that"? She had me there. I whipped out my EQ, and said "I love you". Did the trick!

Cholestrol is the master hormone. If it deficient then all other hormonal activity suffers for it. My weight never changed but I started getting like ...fat. Spare tire. Skinny with this inner tube wrapped around my waist. Very bad. Better to be fat all over then look parade around with what appears to be a swimming appartatus around one's waist. I went back to low carb after being off it for a year or two and it all just went away. More fat, fat, fat,
BACON!
oink....
good for you.
It's just a matter of understanding chemistry and the way we are made, whether we like it or not.
.....and .....you don't use so much toilet paper.......now that's got to be good!

Good post Pie'n'eal,
I wanted to chime in and say that I as well have had the pleasure of dining with a Lama and even had drinks with them. It made me think of all the people who are very anal when it comes to being spiritual and not eating meat.
I for one try not to eat too much red meat but I do not rule it out completely. I still eat it when I crave it from time to time.
I believe Buddha said it best "The path to enlightenment is in the middle"
Here's a good clip that explains the middle way of pretty much anything in my view. There always has to be a balance.

A friend I worked with at a hostel gave me good advice about meat. She said as long as we respected and honored the animal giving up its life to nourish us, then eating meat is okay. To stick your nose up at it is insulting to their sacrifice.
Maia
Thank you all for a positive feed back.
By the way, pemmican is from native American Indians.
It is thin strips of meat, with all the fat removed for quick drying.
Then pound the dried meat into shreds, and placed into a bag (this used to be rawhide).
Fat, often suet from around the kidneys, which is the hardest fat, is then rendered down
and poured into the bag, so that every shred of meat is covered.
The finished product is 50% meat 50% fat. It preserves for a long time and gives lots of energy.
Indigenous people did not have the diseases we have. They only got ill when white man entered
their perfect life.
And another thing, get off polyunsaturated margarine and oils, and get onto butter and cream!

Thanks for this thread - very interesting stuff!
And another thing, get off polyunsaturated margarine and oils, and get onto butter and cream!
Couldn't agree more! I think, as someone who isn't a vegan, that these things are a natural substance and are as unprocessed as can be. My personal rule of thumb when it comes to food is that if i had the basic resources and skills (ie a cow and the knowhow to milk it) could i make this product myself? Margerine - no - butter - yes!
I would much rather make these things myself as i have very serious concerns with food production, animal welfare and indeed the organic labelling system, but until i'm in the position to be self sufficient then that rule of thumb sets me in good stead.
Thanks again pie 'n' eal!

Good post Pie'n'eal.. Good chain fats are the most important part of a humans diet.. Coconut oil Coconut oil Coconut oil.....
I put it in a hemp protein smoothie in the morning.. I will have to say that nutrition is a very opinionated topic with more opinions that you can use in a lifetime. Can take a while to discern what is right for you..
You mentioned the Cholesterol scam, organic pure butters and fats dont raise your cholesterol but doctors wont tell you that.
Blood pressure is also a scam, your blood pressure rises when you are nervouse/fearful, a high percentage of people have some level of anxiety when visiting the doctor, does the doctor teach you how to breath and calm you down? No just take this poison and it will fix you right up

Butter is way easy to make. I like the rocker method. Put some raw whole cream in a little keg, mount it on set of rockers and then rock it back and forth with your foot till the butter forms. You can read, work on the computer do whatever while you are doing that. Some gadgety minded person could probably automate the way one does it.
My kid puts raw cream in a jar and shakes the jar till the butter begins to granulate. Time consuming and arm tiring but you are basically just rocking or shaking or percussioning cream till butter forms. Salt it, strain it from the butter milk, rinse it, form it down into a container, let it harden in the container and like a Jello mode, dip it in some hot water to loosen it. Plop it out onto a plate or...keep it in the container.
There are butter churns you crank by hand rather like a ice cream machine (you may even be able to us an old hand churn ice cream maker...anyone know?) but I like the rocker method, since i'm lazy.
I have also found by eating fresh out of butt chicken eggs for the last year and a half that they are not cholestrol harmful either. Only when they are processed, irridated, pasteurized whatever else they do to them, is when they agitate cholestrol level. I eat several eggs a day and my levels are very low.

Hey pie'n'eal,
Did you know that margarine is 1 molecule less than plastic? If you were to put an open container of it outdoors, even bugs will stay away from it. We should follow their example!

Thanks for the thread Tony, and I admire you for being so brave as to examine your diet and turn your previous beliefs on their head !
As for me, I sat down one day (15 years ago ???) and thought about it ......
Human beings have been on this planet for however many years, people throughout time have eaten animal produce and fats, yet the human race didn't die out, it expanded and became more "successful", only recently have large numbers of people started having major health problems due to diet. So I decided to eat as natural a range of foods as possible - butter, cheese, wine, bread, salt (bad for you ? - bollocks is it) etc. etc. Being currently in China, some of the things I love are difficult to come by, but boy oh boy when I manage to get some cheese or butter - it's like being in heaven ! The diet here is actually very good, most Westerners here find their weight diminishing and their overall health improving, I certainly did. In contrast, Asians who go and live in Western countries and adopt a Western diet, are more prone to obesity (I read this in a scientific journal fairly recently, can't provide an exact reference though, sorry).
I hope you and "Mrs Pie" enjoy your new-found vitality, and that you continue to provide your wise insights to this forum

Hi, I've never heard of Pemmican - I looked it up & it would make a great item to stock up on. Diet is SOOOO confusing. I'm trying to cut out most processed sugar & high fructose corn syrup - so biscuits, cakes, etc are being replaced with a bananna. I'm trying to cut out all "artificial sweetners" - this is hard as they are in all chewing gum & confectionary, etc. I'm filtering my water, & I have a water distiller to cut out fluoride. Edgar Cayce talked of avoiding white bread - as the bromide whiteners upset one's thyorid. He said Almonds were excellent food, and he had some other points that you can look up. I was listening to Coast to Coast radio on alternative medicines, and the show said - our first 40 years we build up poisons from food, but are healthy so we can work, but after age 40 we come down with some illness due to poisons in our system and the drug companies take all the money we saved in first 40 years! I can only remember this as I had the radio on in the background.
