My opinion:

Going by this, Ted is a bad poker player. The interviewer 'hams it up' too often, fame is his agenda... I guess that's why he got this gig from his masters. Is the information reliable? I have a feeling it's the bundle of lies wrapped in the truth... or more likely, it's another test of how docile and controlled the people are - a test of how people react to such news.
