But why do you think everything relates back to egypt my friend,I may be wrong but i have a feeling thats where it all started

May i ask what makes you think that?Last i checked gthere were many other monuments/ancient civlizations that pre dated the egyptians by thousands of years?So i dont understand what point are you trying to make ?

I am just doing some reasearch for myself and not trying to make a POINT. Arpheus i am not disputing the fact there are other monuments but there does seem to be more related to egypt.I never said i think egypts the oldest i said i have a feeling.I would welcome your reaerch on this and any links you may have.

I always thought that Egypt was the cradle of civilization. Now I am reading that a place called "Sumer" was where the first written language was produced (with an abundance of it still in existence) and the first real civilization was started there almost 500 years before it was started in Egypt. Between 3,500BC and 2,000BC, the southern region of Mesopotamia was dominated by the Sumerians.

They invented the wheel and had a complicated mathematical system, something they would have needed to build their towers to the heavens. It seems they erected tall buildings called ziggurats .These were almost pyramid-like in that they were mountains of stone reaching to the heavens. Their shape brings to mind the step-pyramids.

Now my question is simply this: Did the Egyptians "barrow" some of their beliefs and ideas from this older people? A lot of things sounds very like in nature, including the story of creation. I had thought that Egyptian religion was the older, or at least the first written down, but seems this is not so either.

It appears that there are many cuneiform tablets left by this civilization and I am wondering if they should be a better place to hunt for the shadowy beginnings not recorded by Egyptian writings.

I read this interesting story from the Orion Prophecy where prior to the last pole shift (This is the book by Patrick Geryl who is convinced of a pole shift) that prior to the last pole shift the Atlanteans, who knew it was coming due to records of past pole shifts, prepared this great armada of ships to save their people when the time came.
When the day came that the pole shift was going to happen Osiris and his brother Horus (bad guy) got into this big fight and Osiris was killed. (I haven't read about Cleopatra's needle, but usually those phallic obelisks are meant to represent themissing penis of Osiris.)

So, anyway, they finally get aboard the boats and the one that the body of Osiris, recovered by his sister/s ends up making it to Egypt, but on the journey there one of his family sees something in the heavens and it has something to do with Osiris being reborn.
(There have been huge boats (mandjits) found buried in odd places within Egypt - and likely it wasn't always the arid land it is today. Especially if a pole shift occured.)

So, they come to Egypt and set up again there. The legend of Osiris coming from that.

Patrick Geryl used a lot of Zecharia Sitchin's stuff in his work -and according to some Zecharia Sitchin was a disinfo agent - but the story makes some sense.

The thought occurs to me that the Atlanteans may have been giants.
