Wonder where all that cocaine go, there must be someone snorting it up?

Never been a great of a soda drinker my self. It might happen once a month or less, that I'll pop a can of Coke.(can't even remember last time) Also cut out most of the carbohydrate rich foods like bread, pasta, potato and rice(sugar ofc) Instead I'll use fat as fuel, and wow, do I feel better! Recommended for all!

Well I obviously don't know for sure but I bet it goes something like this:

DEA approved, corporate made cocaine --> Hands of high up DEA agents --> Distribution to large volume drug dealers --> Drug trickles down to low-level dealers and buyers/addicts --> DEA and other agencies arrest low -level dealers, plaster it on the news just to let every scared parent out there that we're fighting this war on drugs for the kids.

DEA agents never run out of people to arrest and the big prison business is tickled pink to build more facilities at tax payer expense and then use prison labor to drive overhead down to zero

This is conflating two separate topics. 1) Coca-Cola uses the flavor from the leaves after the cocaine is removed. 2) All the cocaine removed is used in medicine.

The author of the article admits that s/he can't believe all that cocaine is used medicinally and so opens up a big can of speculation as to what MIGHT be happening with it instead of doing the work to find out.

This is lousy reporting. :( The first part of the article is nearly ripped verbatim from Wikipedia, and the second half is pure speculation.

That's OK. They take all the cocaine out of the leaves before using them.....(cough .. hrumpgh..ahem.... :rolleyes:)
