View Full Version : What is your Purpose in this Game?

As the wave of change is sweeping over this planet, I am reminded of a saying. Big ships turn slowly. When I think of the enormity of consciousness that is represented on this planet, relative to my own, we are dealing with a very big ship.
It seems like it's taken a long time to get from talking to acting. But more and more the game is becoming about doing. That is where I want to play.
We are past the point of trying to name the elephant in the room. The elephant has been named. There are enough of us that see it clear enough.
Many, if not all, of us don't just want to be passive observers. We know that we came here to do something significant. I would argue that everyone came here to do something significant, but my guess is that people in this forum are far more aware of this inner sense of mission.
I believe we are beyond whistle blowing. Yes, the whistle is being blown. And that's fantastic!!!! But we need Action, also! This is the main theme, isn't it? That when a mass of people take on a load bearing weight, the job becomes much easier and safer to do. We are learning that we can't go through life only as passive observers. We can't expect a certain group of people to do the work for us while we live in "ignorance is bliss" bubbles. If we do, we have no right to complain. But we don't want that. We want to be active participants in the creation of reality. We want to participate in the building of a world centered around creation.
So, it is, I believe, vitally important to enter into deliberate dialogs about what it is we are here to do. In order to put a puzzle together, you have to first dump the pieces out on the table. It starts with this question. What is your purpose in this game? What are you here to do?
It doesn't matter to what degree we know the answer to that question. What matters is that we contemplate it, answer it, express it to others, and work it creatively.
For the sake of awakening, I invite you to dump your piece onto the table, by sharing your answer to this question. I want to really dig into it with you. I want to know what you came here to do, on whatever level you can articulate it, even if it comes out like BASjt;lwejtoijr Blue!
I don't care. Raw materials can be refined. With that said, I hope that you will decide to participate in this game, as I believe much insight, clarity, and action can come from it.
There is no doubt in my mind that all of us are here to contribute something meaningful. My wish, is to see everyone who is driven by this impulse realize that potential.
Please share. See you out there...

Yes, the energy has to be focused.
First we must drop the trivia.
Blurting out ANNUNAKI doesn't work...I tried it.
So one needs a subtle thread to draw people along, to the bigger picture.
But then we all have different temperaments.
Good luck

As much as talking needs to evolve into doing, the 'heart' of a sovereign person must stay as the heart of a mass movement.
Otherwise it could all end badly.

I'm not really sure but my current working theory is that we should use what we know to develop inner peace. When people see us so peaceful inside and they ask how it works, then we can tell them.
You can't force people to 'wake up' or become 'enlightened'. Maybe it's not their path. If you aim to be the best you that you can be, then others who are interested can learn from your example. Those that don't should be left to their path.

I am struggling with the idea of taking action. I write lawmakers, contribute money ( not much), notify news outlets and sign petitions and nothing changes. Nobody cares. Nobody sees the danger ( except you folks). I am absolutely amazed by all that is playing out unchecked. I am starting to think that it has to get really bad for most people to say enough. Maybe this is meant to be an individual awakening. Perhaps we have collectively drawn these horrendous experiences toward us to help us evolve, or rather jump, to the light. If that is so then maybe mitigating the frequencies will prolong the agony.
So I was thinking we cannot work with the old energy, but maybe we could focus the collective vision of those who are awake. My idea was a website called FutureBook that would be akind of repository of every man's ideal vision for the future. Areas might be government, health, daily living, education, environment, food, etc. People could submit videos, blogs, whatever. Hooked up to Facebook and other social media. Editors could try to hammer out a common vision. At least people could feel heard and effective, if not in 3d.
Most important is to be the change we want to see. I think I am way more effective removing duality from my thinking and trying to love everything I see, as a great Shaman said. When in a state of pure love I do feel more effective than when I write a lawmaker. at least the other dimensional me's are listening!

These are special times, life is moving at a fast pace and people are divided in many ways. But we must be as united as we can.
What I used to believe 5 years ago, I don't anymore and I'm happy that I can change my mind when I know I'm wrong.
I've always loved to help people in anyway I can and I enjoy it very much. I honestly believe that my mission in this life is to help in anyway I can.
Thanks

The problem I see is that there Are different temperaments.
Some are religious in out look. = Dogmatic.
Some philosophical in out look. = Wordy.
Some experiential in out look. = Flaky.
None of them will ever agree.
Maybe smaller groups will work. Like parts of an orchestra.
I believe that is how COMMON PURPOSE work.
However we have to be more, intelligent and attractive.

What is my mission? HHmmmmmmm.......
This is a question that I think about a lot.
For me, what I have gathered so far is, I must actively raise my vibration on a daily basis. If I resonate at a certain frequency then this will, as a byproduct, help raise the vibration of others that I bump into.
I liked what Bill and Inelia had to say about discovering one's purpose. They asked us to think about what it is that we do or have an interest in, in our lives that we could talk for hours about. What hobbies and interests did we have as a child? Also, look at our lives now, what have we surrounded ourselves with?
For me, as a child, I would sing and sing and sing. Always too shy to perform in public, but when I did people said that they felt 'something'.
So, I feel my conclusion is, I need to raise my vibration and sing from my heart.......in public.
I also love healing, animals, and herbal medicine.
How about you Armen, what's your mission???? What do you feel?
In love,

i agree pie'n'eal. an orchestra can be very large or a duet or a solo performance. as long as the music resonates within the soul of the listener then it has completed it's task. mixing it up a bit helps. i'm speaking metaphorically of course. one can follow his/her own path and distribute their own sound and the others that it resonates with will pick it up and keep the sound rolling forward. if we all continue to make the noise, it will be heard.
i think that is what my mission is, to wake one person up at a time. at least, that is what the outcome has been so far. i will keep making my own noise, such that it is, and keep trying to help others see their own potential.

Oh wow, this is so beautiful. I want to thank you all who have posted so far for your input. This is helping me sharpen my edge too. This is an excellent first round as far as I'm concerned.
What I'm hearing from nearly everyone is this:
I am here to awaken people. Wherever that's possible. I want to help in whatever way I can. I don't want to force myself on others as I know that is the opposite of what we're trying to achieve. I recognize that this is something we have to choose, and I want to be supportive to those who are making, or in the process of making that choice. I understand that the best way to influence others, is to make an example of myself. To live what I believe in. When I cannot affect the world around me, I choose to do my inner work, so that I continue to align myself with the vision of that example I wish to be.
If I can assume that my summary of your collective posts is close enough to pass (and please feel free to correct me if not), then my response is as follows:
This is something we all share. Yet, there are so many ways to express this very same facet. We are here to awaken people. But, how we do it, is dramatically different according to our temperament (Thanks Tony), our experience, our passions, our traumas, and our personalities. We can, and must, flesh this image out even more. Now we have a nice little outline. I don't know if I have the right questions to ask yet, but I have questions, and I will keep asking until I, or somebody, finds the right ones.
We are all so different (and the same), and I see it as our task to understand how these differences interlock. In other words, what is your personality like? Are you a protector? Are you a nurturer? Are you a thinker? A feeler? A doer? Are you good at gathering people? Are you good at making people laugh? Are you good with non-human life forms (animals, plants, ET's, etc).
What kinds of people come to you for help? Where do you find yourself to be most effective? What are your areas of interest? What are you truly passionate about? If you were to suspend fear and practicality, what would you be doing with your life? What is it in your life that makes you feel like you can go on forever without needing to rest or eat?
As I'm writing this out, I'm thinking that it might be helpful to develop some kind of sequence or order of questions.
Personality:
Passions:
What kinds of people/situations are you best in/with:
I would love to see more posts describing in greater detail, answers to these questions.
If you have other suggestions, please throw them out. Together we can shape this.
Marikins,
I love your idea for Future Book. Where are you with it now? Keep us updated. Give us a report. We can use it.
Tony
I hear you about temperament. Dogmatic people solidify something. Talkers create change and see far ahead. Experiencers do things, and enrich our experiences. Those archetypes don't have to be at war. They shouldn't actually. They compliment and interlock to create a greater chain of progress. Yes? No? What do you think...
We could, for instance, create circles of religious, philosophical, and experiential people. That way people could find like mindedness and support. And then, we could start matching individuals from each group into teams of three to work on a project.
What do you think? Let me know...
I will be posting about my mission as well. Please, keep the posts coming....

I find that it helps to ease into conversations, look for an opening with the person you are trying to awaken and put your foot in the door. Figure out what they are interested in and go from there. Everything can relate to thought, which is connected to sound, vibration, influence and most important in my view energy. These things can all be discussed within the fields of religion, philosophy, love, politics, whatever. If you can show people the connections you can expand others thinking to not be dogmatic in their paticular field of interest but open their field of interest up to see the lines between the dots in the puzzle.

Great thread, Armen. Thank you for encouraging us all to stretch our minds and most importantly, to be procative.
I want to know what you came here to do, on whatever level you can articulate it, even if it comes out like BASjt;lwejtoijr Blue!
My colour is green. I am here to re-green the Earth by teaching people (and leading by example):
how to dramatically improve the quality of soils, air and water quickly and simply;
how to restore and regenerate severely degraded farmland within a few years;
how to rapidly re-grow the forests we have destroyed, with maximum biodiversity;
how to rapidly grow highly productive food forests in even the harshest deserts so we can guarantee food security for ALL inhabitants of Earth, including our visitors;
how to provide close to 100% of the world's energy needs from plants so we can virtually eliminate the need for fossil fuels and nuclear power;
how to use plants for natural medicines to cure most diseases;
how to use plants to make literally tens of thousands of products currently made with highly toxic chemicals from pertroleum;
how to use all of this knowledge to survive the huge changes and social transitions that are coming.
All of these things and more are achievable... most within just a few years. They have already been tried and proven on a small scale. Some of these things have already been done on a surprisingly large scale, thousands of years ago. If they can do it, we can do it too!
The costs are surprisingly minimal. The benefits are so enormous that it will dramatically change our lives for the better. The world is ready and crying out for these changes but people are afraid or they don't know what to do.
Let me teach you how.
If I can teach 1,000 people in one year (starting now)...
and if I can learn something from every student...
then between us, if we can teach 10,000 next year...
then teach 100,000 the year after...
then teach 1,000,000 the next year...
then teach 10,000,000 the next year...
then teach 100,000,000 the next year...
then teach 1,000,000,000 the next year...
then teach 10,000,000,000 the next year...
oops, that's teaching more than the entire population of Earth in JUST 8 YEARS
and allow 3 years for each new student to IMPLEMENT what we teach...
and we all SHARE WHAT WE LEARN along the way...
and we all HELP EACH OTHER...
we could easily achieve worldwide change in 11 YEARS.
I ask again, LET ME TEACH YOU HOW

Howdy Armen, thank you for this very useful thread imo.
I have described myself as a bridge in the past.
I find myself to be the sort of person that enjoys sensing people communicate in a situation where they otherwise might not. I was talking to a friend yesterday and I improvised the following simple modified cliche:
"When the going gets tough, get creative"
If we all contribute a "note" and its clear that collective chord is out of tune, then our collective function would be to harmonise therefore enabling the universal symphony to continue making "music" per se.
K626 has an excellent thread you might have seen Armen :
http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?19573-Universal-intelligence.-Where-do-you-stand
I made the following two posts which seem fitting to this thread.
...and are we not all a part of the 'God'?
God Is All ; )
Surely that is our invention?
God creates while we invent ; )
God creates through us?
K
God's "probes" ?
Cells of a multi-dimensional "being/s"?
Tonal allegory:
IMO our collective "tone" and the ability to experience phases, modulation and synergy while operating a physical body could be an important asset and catalyst for a need for a three dimensional experience. This opportunity could be a widget "experience" which allows for "life forms/consciousness" to be a conduit to tune an out of tune tone/chord in the 3D collective which is obviously not mutually exclusive to the multiverse. I feel "we" and other wonderful "life forms" are capable of "consciously" transforming this planets "tone".
Perhaps a "soul" in a physical body is needed to add to the "spectrum" as to what constitutes and enables a "tone" which then enables the fundamentals for the ongoing composing of a symphony experience as it were. Maybe we are at the last movement of a symphony and are preparing to compose and conduct a new movement.
In this context if consciousness is the composer, we are "musicians".
"God" has eclectic taste in music ? ;)
cheers
yak
My stand on the universe, and how it works, follows the Vedic version. It cetainly isn't just my stand, but many thousand of self realized souls who have preceded us. The great thing is that it is still available to us, it just requires a little research.
The extent of control we are able to exert on the universe and 'our world', is determined by the influence of the modes of nature. There are three modes of nature ('gunas', or energetic ropes) which make up the material universe. Nothing material exists outside their influence. These three modes of material
nature (or tri-guna mayi) are:
tamo guna (mode of ignorance or destruction),
raja guna (mode of passion or creation), and...
satva guna (mode of goodness or maintenance).
They determine one's entire conditioning..behavioral, physical..everything. They are determined by our actions, in this life, and previous lives.
This material universe, as well as the millions of other universes, is highly stuctured and governed by strict natural laws. Spiritual consciousness...( that's
us!), is injected into the material world, animating it, making it appear alive. We exist in a construct, and these modes of nature are difficult if not impossible to overcome. Do not delude yourself into thinking they are easy to rise above or to control.
Having said this, thee conditioned living entity is able to make choices in his own actions and beliefs, raise awareness and increase personal capabilities to various levels...even to very high levels.
The Vedas include many accounts of individuals who have, by performing focussed, sustained austerities, acheived amazing capabilities. The great sage Kardama Muni astounded even himself, when he manifested a huge aerial spaceship by his yogic prowess. (Srimad Bhagavatam, Canto 3-Capter 24)
So, we are the controllers of our own, individual destinies, but it is not possible for the individual livng entity to rise above the three modes of nature, entirely, without the assistance of the Supreme Controller.
What is the goal of the supreme controller?
cheers
K
(imho) A 'supreme controller" would not need to "control" other than facilitate the potential freewill and consciousness within the multiverse.
Freewill might be the ultimate reward and achievement of a "supreme controller", as freewill would cyclically facilitate a dynamic that would/could/has/is self regulating. Cyclical patterns repeating "verbatim" would seem unlikely because consciousness that includes the illusion of linear time would never collectively need to repeat a carbon copy "experience" imo. There could be a collective "goal" that presents itself within a series of cycles that would require a few cosmic laps so to speak to become "realised". A "supreme controller" would/could know this "potential" in "advance" and therefore the function of freewill could be partly to prevent stasis. Within this context a "static utopian cycle" would therefore inevitably facilitate and require "consciousness" and ultimately "duality".
Logic suggests imo that a "supreme controller" would not be "bossy", or "lazy" (regardless of consciousness being spawned from a static utopian cycle) or we would not be "here". :)
Cheers,
yak
And cheers once again :)

Follow Up On "Marikins Future Book" project idea:
It sounded like people, including myself, were really interested in Marikins "Future Book" project. I took the liberty of asking her to give an update on where she is currently standing with the project, and this is what she wrote back. For anyone who was interested in her idea, you should read this...
Hi Armen,
Your post was quite timely and important. It is key.
Thank you for your kind words about FutureBook or whatever we call it. Just in planning stages now. I am a web developer and have designed and developed many holistic sites for myself and others but I was given this idea and told to wait for it to gel. So I am floating it and taking all the ideas and help I can get. So far, I know it has to be of the people. It has to be an interactive frame for their ideas. It has to be participatory without turning into a shapeless mess. Open to all frequencies with the burden put on the editors to lovingly and respectfully refine, not censor, the frequencies. It is good to have different thoughts on same subject.
Overall I see it as a bridge project between old energies and new. It is a temporary tool that will be obsolete some day, maybe soon. I just know that there is a complete disconnect between the governments/media/corporations and the people. The media now controls our view of the future and we have no input. I would like to offer a place for people to frame their vision. Hopefully it will be a place of positive intention where we will grow our good ideas into reality by giving them loving and thoughtful intention.
I had asked my Higher Self and Spirit in general to tell me how I could help and this is what I got. Then I won a professional digital camera that takes videos and the software to edit them in a crazy contest. So they are supporting me in this as long as the vibration is high and it is a focus tool of the people, not my ego or editors' ego. Kind of a trust.
As to funding, I can do the design and development for free and can afford to contribute start up hosting, but if it takes off I probably will need donations. I would like it to not be monetized at all, but I think a little donation button would be okay.
Before I start I would definitely have composites and specs for review, because that's the way I roll!
Love and thanks,
Marikins

Interesting topic...
I don't know what my purpose is, what I'm here to do... and yet again, I'm doing something, I guess...
There were times when I really was searching for my purpose, here on earth, sometimes even worry about it, but I stopped doing that.
I think I don't really need to know. I'm doing something, but I don't know exactly what it is. I teach through my little singing practice, I meet new people every week, I work with them through music, I meet up with friends, I talk to my family, especially my mum, I try to 'listen' carefully... it's almost as if I don't DO but just BE.
I think I just 'am' ... no more, no less.
Something in me still wonders what it is I'm supposed to do, but I think it's my ego trying to make sense of everything. On a deeper level, I don't need to know, I don't need to put it into words.
Does this make any sense?

Innana,
I recognize that internal question between desiring something, and not wanting to drive oneself crazy by overextending and loosing oneself to that desire. What you just posted, encapsulates a point of view, or dilemma, which I feel is slowing down progress. This is what I mean.
You do have an ego, and it's not a bad thing. It makes you the individuated you that no one else can be. It offers the gifts that only you can offer. The ego, like any component of an ecosystem, when out of control, or not in its rightful place, becomes a problem. I would say that what we're striving for here is anatomical alignment. The reason I bring this up, is because whether on purpose, by accident, or just as an evolutionary process, I feel that especially self searching, thoughtful, caring, aware individuals such as yourself and people on this forum (me included), have stopped listening to what the voice inside is saying. I'm not accusing you of doing that. I'm not going to say anything about what you are, or are not doing, because I don't know. Rather, what I see reflected in your message is indicative of a dynamic that is prevalent in the "Ground Crew" community. Mainly, that your desire to have a purpose and express it, is a bad thing, because it means that you are identified with your ego, and therefore not aware. Well, yes, paying attention to your desires does identify you with you. But it's not a bad thing. It's why you (we) are here.
The reason I bring this up, is because there are people (I know, cause I'm one) who do have a very, very strong sense of purpose. In fact, for some (myself included), that sense of purpose is so merciless and unrelenting, that it gives us no rest or reprieve. It forces us to stick to the path, regardless of danger or subsequent suffering. It drives us without concern for the health and happiness of the individuated ego. It will run us into the ground if it has to, because it does not care if we live or die. The physiological pain that results from not expressing that purpose, is far greater than any pain or punishment the world can inflict on a person. It expresses itself in utter panic and disease, if the purpose isn't adhered to. Any deviation from purpose feels like being annihilated and erased. To say the least, it is excruciating. Every operating system is designed to handle a certain amount of damage control. Conversely, every operating system has a limit to how long it can exist in a state of perpetual emergency and stress, before it is overwhelmed and collapses.
Why am I saying all this?
It is a matter of contrast. We live in a climate where people do not express themselves. We don't express our personal experiences, and we don't express our sense of purpose. The one gift that is so essential to us, that makes all our other gifts make sense, the element that determines what kind of reality we create, our license for autonomy, most people don't exercise it. I have observed that partially, it is due to our practice of associating spiritual sophistication with selflessness.
The result, are communities that do not express themselves. And in an environment where people don't express themselves, those who do are very, very isolated, which makes it even harder to express oneself. The inner creator becomes quiet, as opposed to blasting itself into our hearts with a megaphone.
I think we can agree that horrible things are happening in our world, and we want it to stop. In my opinion, it's not as simple as locking up, or killing people who do bad things. That's just another band aid. That's ripping out the fruit of the plant you want to uproot. If we don't want to be a parasitic society, indicative of a death cult (which is what I feel our society has become), then we have to exercise our own, unique, creative muscle. That is the most profound antidote I can imagine. When we exercise our own creativity by doing that which we love, and gives us a sense of purpose, then we are happy and relaxed. The more people do that, the easier it gets for everyone. That is how you build free, peaceful societies.
You can't enslave someone with a sense of purpose, because that sense of purpose will override any other impulse for control. But if we don't claim that we have a purpose, then we make it possible for others to fill in that blank, and that is dangerous. In the very least, because we make it harder and harder for people to express themselves.
My gut reaction to your post compels me to ask these questions:
Are you sure you do not need to put it into words? Could it be that there is a value for others in sculpting and shaping it into mental clarity? Could it be that by you going through that process, that you help others not feel so isolated? That you inspire others, and yourself? That you contribute to a chain reaction of excitement and momentum that would otherwise not exist if it wasn't represented in a form that others who are not in your experience can relate to? Could it be that by defining your purpose, you help someone else learn something about themselves? Could it be that you could cause someone else to feel less powerless, and more powerful? Isn't that what holds most of us back? That we feel we don't matter? Or that we don't have an audience for who we are? Isn't that why we have all this garbage to replace the otherwise empty space of potential we have? Could it be that organizing our lives around this very question, and sharing it explicitly with each other, is exactly what we need to overcome the tremendous inertia we face? Could it be that people do care, but aren't exercising their creative abilities, because they are not focusing their attention on their limitless potential? Are we lacking expressive virillity and potency? Is that because we do not exercise our ability to define in words, and communicate, through mental clarity? In not doing so, do we contribute to the hazy mist of inaction that seems to hover around the alternative community?
I reached a point in my own journey where I could sit anywhere and just be. I sat, literally, all day in libraries, and just was. I spend over a year not doing anything. I had no desire or need to change or affect anything. My practice was to be. With whatever was present. I experienced the peace, serenity, and adventure of letting go of my desires, and control. And then, from that place, where I knew that I didn't have to do anything. That beyond all that I do, there is all that I am, from that place, I realized that I have a job to do. It wasn't a mental, or cognitive decision. It was anatomical. My whole structure changed. I realized that from the point of being the void, being potential, I had to start focusing that potential into something that brought forth the code that was already inside me. That is when, I would say, my masculine and feminine shook hands.
Oddly enough for me, I reside quite naturally in the feminine, and it has been my work to embrace the validity of focus, and then learn to embody the masculine by being focused. Beingness is a powerful art. And so is doingness.
As I reflect on this post, I realize that your post served as a catalyst for me to express something that has been wanting to get out. Thank you for that.
If it makes sense for you to feel your way through without defining it, I respect that. That's what makes sense for you, and an important path to take. Thank you for sharing this part of yourself on this thread.

How about you Armen, what's your mission???? What do you feel?
red_rose
Well red_rose, I could write a whole dissertation on that subject, but like I told someone else who asked me, I won't subject anyone to that kind of pain. My posts are long enough as they are. So, I will try to keep it brief, but also kind of elucidate how specific you can get with that question.
I am here to represent the future now. While some move towards the future from the present, others like me live the future now, and thereby move the future into the present. I would say that I am a catalyst. I am here to help people get clear, and move what needs to move out of the way in order to get connected with their purpose. I am, however, not just interested in individual missions. I am interested in coordinating many different missions into an orchestral symphony of collaboration. Therefore, I am interested in the big picture, and solving problems at the systemic level.
My major strong suit, as you might have guessed, is communication. My jurisdiction is exclusively in the realm of social and human ecology. I'm interested in what's inside of people.
I work best when I have a community that I can work inside of. When I have that, I am at my most potent (I hope that Avalon can be that community for me).
I would say that my tools are as follows: I provide insight, inspiration, mentorship, I teach, I guide, I perform, I witness.
My BIG LONG RANGE ULTIMATE MISSION is to establish a Center for Visionary Social Work, where a wide variety of services will act in concert to get people deprogrammed, rehabilitated, and then set on their purpose in life. The center will serve as a sort of operational headquarters and nexus point for the creation of new, visionary societies and radical restructuring of how we socialize. That's my long range mission.
I see myself functioning as a coordinator, as I love complexity, and communication.
The areas I feel called to address socially are as follows.
I want to create supportive environments for people who are generally labeled and treated as outcasts by main society. These are often very gifted individuals who are severely misunderstood, marginalized, and excluded. I want to create a place for them to get the love and support they need to realize their true potential, and provide environments where they won't be chastised. I also want to be an educator, ambassador, and advocate for this group, and use my communication skills to teach people in the mainstream about their value, and why/how they need to be integrated and supported.
I also feel a calling to act as a fundraiser, and, again, use my communication skills to get people with influence to reverse the flow of money towards those who usually do not get any. I want to especially act as a fundraiser for the alternative community, to help get people financially free so that they can pursue their true calling.
I feel called to work at the edges of social conflict, where the issues run deep, and pain is extremely dense. The places where we tend not to go.
So, I am specifically interested in working on the relationships and understanding of light skinned races and dark skinned races. I perceive there to be a very wide gap, and I want to work to help close it, and foster healing and understanding.
I feel the same way about the relations between men and women. I believe that a huge amount of strife and confusion can be diminished simply by healing the wounds and addressing the gaps in that area alone.
Since I am a dancer, I also want to help people be more aware of their bodies, and teach people what is possible in the realm of movement. For me, dance is an incredible classroom for understanding how to communicate and be in relationship, and I want to help people with their communication skills by utilizing my movement knowledge.
I want to facilitate trance and journey experiences through music and dance, thus demonstrating how easy and effective it is to generate fields of love and ecstasy with people, and why that can have a profound impact on totally restructuring how we live.
I want to use my performance and creative abilities, to catalyze and galvanize people into being more human, more expressive, more playful, and to help bring down the walls of silence and separation.
I want to educate people about the power of touch, and the vital role I see intimacy and touch work to play in the transformation of human consciousness.
And lastly, I have a huge passion for the whole ET/Alien subject. I, myself, always felt that I had come from somewhere else, and I would like to work in some capacity to continue to shed light on that subject, and help people who have identifications or experiences with ET's figure out what's going on.
That's a good, simple run down.
Peace...

Hi Armen,
I found myself feeling extremely happy when I am able to help people in anyway, it is a felling of gratefulness when people say thank you to you with a smile on their faces. I can feel some sort of electricity on one side of my brain(left or right can't remember exactly where) when people say thank you to me for whatever I've done for anybody, no matter who or how. But it happens in certain occasions. Not always. I guess when I sincerely feel it or say it when it's my turn to say thank you.
I can say that is goes both ways, when I receive help of any kind, when I say thank you with a smile on my face and truly meaning it, I can feel the electricity flowing in one side of my brain. Now, I like the feeling or sensation of it when that happens. It's like good energy flowing through my brain. Sort of makes me giggle hihi, and I know that it's the right path for me to follow; and the best thing of all it that is free.
Good manners don't cost nothing. I understood that less than 10 years ago. It changed my life for the good, and I see the effect of it on people and within me.
Thank you for this great thread Armen.

What to do? What to do? continuously this question is in my mind.
From the trillions of possibilities of action, which one is the right one?
I discovered that every action needs to come out of understanding. Jordan Maxwell has thought me that understanding means "to stand under the foundations, which you are building on".
My foundation is called peace. My first duty is to find peace inside. Once my inner conflict stops, World Peace is achieved. The Universe is holographic and if there is a change in a small part, the whole changes.

A REPLY
We are perfectly right to question other's motivation. People say things, others question how valid the statement is. In fact I would love to be questioned more. This will help us all to sharpen our intelligence. So people cannot just rant away. Actually ranting is fine, but time is press here...so they say! People do say some outlandish things.
So we sharpen our swords of wisdom, not our claws. I am a bit of creative fellow, a bit of a crazy creative fellow, and inside is an even bigger one trying to get out! With others help we shall try and keep that under control.
It is the reaction to a posting that is saying something about our mind? This point is extremely important!
You see, my whole agenda is pure consciousness. The mind gets loaded with concepts, acquired by ourselves and put there by others which obscure pure consciousness.
I have been on spiritual paths for about forty years, and I try to look at it from a few angles. The first books I read were by Chogyam Trungpa, especially 'Cutting through spiritual materialism'. That is one tough guy. No New Age for him!
Any ideas we hold about the universe, earth or ourselves is just a concept. An idea, a fabrication.
It is not the pure experience, which is beyond the words. What you are, is mere consciousness.
Not being a product of any thing, it is empty = pure. But is also cognisant = knowing. In the realisation of that, compassion arises. Compassion arises because when one truly realises ones own nature as empty-awareness = pure consciousness, one sees that it is in all sentient beings. A sadness
arises = compassion, because sentient beings do not recognise their true nature. So there is joy but sadness.
When a so-called enemy, person or thing irritates us, it throws up reactions in the mind = emotions.
(oh! Here I am not saying I do this on purpose, I only expand on what someone says...to the edge of slight discomfort!) In that emotion, fire is lit, that light is consciousness. Pure consciousness is wisdom. Emotion is exaggerated consciousness, because it forgot it's empty nature.
An example:
You see a wonky picture on the wall. Empty consciousness just notes it. One can just straighten it or leave it. But generally our ordinary consciousness gets judgemental, being full of ideas of how things 'should' be. Gets angry at such a wonky picture. This is more easy to see when one meets a wonky person!
What is behind it all is, pure consciousness. That first instance of wonky awareness is wisdom. It has a term called, mirror-like wisdom. Just reflecting. There are other qualities of wisdom, but I won't go into that now. It is the ideas of self and other that gets in the way, which produces a reaction.
To me God, Earth, Consciousness are just words. It is the pure experience beyond all that which is reality. Even that has to be dropped. In expressing our true nature we are allowed to be a bit human, it makes life interesting and fun. People call things by different names. On closer inspection, all there is is love. But for that love to function it comes from pure awareness/ pure consciousness. Your pure consciousness. The body and mind is a vehicle for consciousness, it uses the earth to feed the body. It uses the mind to express. If you want you can say, the earth feeds the body, but that is playing nicely with words. What is important is the realisation of pure consciousness. Not just consciousness. The earth cannot do that for you.
Respect the earth, the body and all sentient beings. This the play of relative truth = the seeming reality. Ultimate reality is pure consciousness. We need the two, one reflects the other.
This is no big deal, that's why humour is so important. The joke is, we mistake the seeming for the real. I do this all the time.
Now we come to the work. The work is to dissolve/exhaust/delete karma. Karma is the imprint in our minds, fixed ideas, these are caused by reacting to ever thing. We react to things because of the ideas we hold on to, placed there by previous ideas. Karma has quite deep grooves. Most of the time it is on automatic pilot. So the same things keep happening to us, we create our present situations. If we hold on tighter, we suffer more. Our minds are controlled by karma. All around you are distraction, the work is for you to take charge, and not your habitual karmic reactions, ie business as usual!
Every moment is created by our past. It is karmically produced. It is the same with every thought reaction, that too is a product of the past. I used to feel guilty about my thoughts, but realised that it was driven by karma. Now, this point is extremely important, if one just react, the karmic cycle just goes round again = nothing changes. But in that moment if one does not just react, pauses for a moment, then addresses the situation within empty-awareness, no karma is created. One is not holding on to anything, not even love!
We can play with seeming negative comments, it reveals wisdom! A sort of spiritual ju-jitsu! Please poke me as much as you like, sharpen those fangs! I need someone like you to strip away my spiritual smugness. Every little helps!
Everyone's view is valued and important, but with a little help from our friends (the symbolic world) we can strip away, what is not needed. Actually in mediation this happens by itself...the moment one gives up the meditation.
What is left is reality!
This is the moment of absolute positivity.
This is the only thing we can do as a group, this includes all visitors. We all have different points of view, which of course reflects our individuality. So to sit round a table and waiting to agree on who to complain to, which building to march on... what colour the banner should be, it will never happen.
We all see, know, agree on the value of positivity. Now is the time to put all theories into action, or rather 'non action'. This means not a speck of negativity to be written, spoken or thought of.
Our lives change now, this moment!
Like attracts like. Unconditional love is infectious.
Try it for one day. Observe everything especially your motivations. It does not matter about ones status, education or capacity. Be generous, be patient, be disciplined, be at peace.
Do not turn the peace into something special, just be at peace. In fact be ordinary. Mind open, not clinging to anything. Do what you have to do in the light of spaciousness. Unclutter life. If there is no hidden agendas, then there is nothing to defend. Be as an empty house, when the thief comes in, there is nothing there to protect.
Be positive, is being unconditionally happy. Is that too much to ask?
Being unconditionally happy means not relying on any conditions. Let's take Alex Collier's words as 100% true, and see how this feels.
The trouble with conspiracies, it can take you over.
Be as you naturally are.

Waves o/
fun to read the posts on such threads :) you all have such strong oppinions, and as i said that the thunder roared and made my walls shake, lulz :)
my purpose... when i look back at all the ones i rudly awaked to this world i guess i have to say that is a big part of it. to not lie and confuse, but untangle the webs i encounter through life.
do i have a own purpose on this planet ? no.
i do not have a personal stake in the outcome of humans and blue-terra.
if there is something ive done more in this life than ever its helping the individual. teaching the ones who want to be taught. heelping those who needs a helping hand.
someone once said to me "you speak so much truth you reminds me of jesus, stay away from crosses dude" :D
so that is most close to my purpose, sharing truth & pissing humans off.
many in the last years have tryed to convince me of all wierd things that my purpose is.
like i bet alot of you too have herd from the ones who arent aware of the subjects we speak about.

hi Armen, like you i reincarnated on this planet with a plan knowing full well[i guess] that at the moment of birth the veil would drop over my eyes, and from then on it would be down to the strength of my soul/real self to overcome this blindness that afflicts all of us, to fathom the big question,"why are we here"? for me its been birth, then playtime then school then job,job and more jobs and then a few years ago i befriended a hari krishna devotee and although i never took up his faith he raised my level of spirituality which in turn has led me here now talking to you, obviously there have been other weird things happen as well but ultimately like other avalonions i feel this inner itch that needs scratching, the feeling that this is not all there is.this is a great thread.

Quick summary.
So far as I can tell these are the different areas of interest that I have identified based on people's responses...
Working with people
]There are those who feel called to help people in whatever way makes itself available.
There are people who are working to help people expand their awareness and understanding of how the world is constructed
There are people who want to help with emotional traumas and pain
people who want to teach and share techniques of the paranormal
people who want to focus on balancing their internal states and cultivating inner peace, affecting the world by their vibrations...
people who want to challenge beliefs and ideas in order to sharpen understanding...
Working with the Environment
These people are called to helping planet earth by working with plants and ecosystems. This would include growing gardens/fodd, stewarding and maintaining natural ecologies, teaching people about plants and their uses, etc...
I know there are far more categories of interest, but this is a good start. We're starting the process of mapping it out. I hope people keep posting, and I will work to continue to formulate more questions that can help people gain more clarity.

I have this recording of Eckhart Tolle called Living Your Purpose (recommend). In it he says people are always asking "what am I going to do with my life?" he says that that is secondary. That one's primary purpose is to be living fully in each moment. By doing that Universal intelligence (higher self) is able to move through you and you then you flow with life and naturally find yourself doing what is for your highest good and others. When you are in your ego you block the flow of universal intelligence.
This resonates as a deep truth for me. It really does boil down to Be the change. Until we can subdue the ego and live in a higher state of consciousness all of our efforts will be ego based and have limited impact to change the world for the better. It is man's disconnection from living in the present moment that has created this situation. We have to change our state of consciousness, from there everything flows.

Ok I'm ready....
After munching thoughts with Armen I now feel that I have defined what it is I'm here to do.....well really it is what my heart wants to do.
I am here to act as a conduit for mother earth. I wish to express her voice and message though my songs.
When I sing I go to a really special place inside. I wish to share that space with others, because, I hope, it will remind them of home.
To reconnect myself and others with mother earth and be a good role model of the divine feminine.
That is my wish, and that is my plan.
Thanks Armen xxx

Hello Armen and All,
I used to believe I had big things to accomplish. I wrote several novels. I became a protesting expat. But none of these efforts created big waves and I have come to realize that much of my motivation was coming from ego. Good intentions, interesting topics, but also ego. Nowadays, I believe my reasons must be much smaller, simpler, more subtle and perhaps not even part of my awareness. Consider that an action may not have a direct affect, but rather just be one piece of a chain endlessly shifting...Now, I believe I'm just supposed to take care of my son and my wife. Be generous when I can to people around me, try not get angry and hope this isn't all a waste of time.

Hi Armen, good idea for a thread my friend. I'm here to appear out of the woodwork, at exactly the right time, just long enough to demonstrate to people that not only can "Goliath" be defeated, but can be defeated without even having to lift a finger. And, to make it plain as day that everyone observing can do the exact same thing. After that, melt back into the woodwork, like a ghost that was never there.
Cheers,

I haven't been on this thread in a while partially because my life has been too busy to spend much time on the computer, and partially because I wasn't sure where to take the thread. My intention for this thread was to give people who want to take action an opportunity to investigate, articulate, and share their passions and their purposes in wanting a creative say in how our world is. Part of the reason I felt it necessary to initiate a thread like this, is because I feel that not enough emphasis is put on what we can do, what our inherent talents and interests are. That should be something we should be talking about a lot.
In the beginning stages of this thread there were quite a few posts of people coming forward and showing specific areas of interest, such as plants, or ecology, or social, etc. Some people even came to ponder the question and come to some new insights as a result of the thread. It was at that time that I was hoping to catalog and categorize all these interests, and begin to create more specific community around these areas of interests. In other words, I was hoping that people would see what they were into and find collaborators and cohorts to coordinate more specific projects and communities.
However, this proved to be more of an undertaking than I realized. For one, I assumed that people were just chomping at the bit to state what they wanted to do very specifically to help this "change" come about. However, I found out that most people have a very vague idea of what they want, or can do, and without coaching and prodding there wasn't going to be much movement. While I love doing this kind of work, it simply wasn't sustainable for me to continue keeping this thread alive and moving forward the way I wanted to.
I felt guilty for having started a little fire and not having been able to see it through to its brushfire size, which is what I was hoping for. However, I am glad that I did it, and if anything it's just yet another reminder that we have an opportunity to ask ourselves very specifically what we are supposed to do with our lives. What makes you feel like you are doing meaningful work? Don't bother with wondering if it exists or not. Invent it if you have to.
There is a real value in being able to communicate that effectively to others. One, for one's own clarity. Two, so that others can participate and help you realize your vision. We do have the gift of vision, and my wish is that more people really take the time to know what it is they are meant for. I have spent my life trying to answer that question. It's been an arduous, often frustrating, uncomfortable, and risky journey, but what I have come to know about myself, I own and it has allowed me to be a lot more deliberate and effective in the world. Of course the journey isn't over for me yet. It will continue to be uncomfortable and risky to distill further and further the truth of why I am really here, and the purpose with which I have been chartered. For me though, I find it is the only way to exist peacefully. To have an answer to that question, and to continue to travel that path as long and far as I can.
I am here for people. That is my passion. To help people know themselves and to help people improve their relationships. It's taken me so many years to distill it down to that. I look forward to the day when I can make it even simpler. Anyway, I feel very grateful for all the responses and views, regardless of how vague they were. I didn't feel it was right to leave this thread sitting the way it was with no follow up from me.
I couldn't maintain it the way I wanted to because of the time and energy it would have cost me, but I can respond to all of the collective efforts, all the time and energy that others have put into this thread by replying to what has been said so far.
I hope you continue to search for the answer to the question of your purpose, and I hope you continue to take action in that direction. I hope you continue to work for clarity and specificity so that you have the ability to articulate the many powerful feelings and intuitions inside of you. I haven't met a person yet who hasn't wanted to make some kind of difference in the world; who didn't want to be seen as capable. Most of what's stopping us is that we are rarely asked.
So I ask again. What is your purpose in this life, and what can you do to take action in that direction? Perhaps part of my purpose is to ask people this question.
Until the next time...
