NASA Family/Personal Preparedness

Major initiative has been placed on Family/Personal Preparedness for all NASA personnel. The NASA/Family Preparedness Program is designed to provide awareness, resources, and tools to the NASA Family (civil servants and contractors) to prepare for an emergency situation. The most important assets in the successful completion of NASA’s mission are our employees’ and their families. We are taking the steps to prepare our workforce, but it is your personal obligation to prepare yourself and your families for emergencies.

Why i have a feeling this is planed for us to see and scare a lot of people that actually look for these news? I mean they are 100% sure this will be found ... warning without a reason and vague outside threats are just what they want to create fear.

Why i think this is fear mongering? Its too simple ... the people that work in NASA are clever people. This video is for lower IQ no info just vague news about maybe something ... just to be rdy ..

If this was towards their NASA employes then ... it should be more sophisticated. But if you tell me that this is normal for NASA. Then ...

NASA is the only federal agency responsible for its people's safety and well-being here on Earth and in space and has a longtime commitment to safety and emergency preparedness. Over the past year, Administrator Bolden has emphasized the importance of Family/Personal Preparedness for the entire NASA family. Family and personal preparedness plans are key to protecting our families and communities during potential emergencies such as fires, floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, terrorist attacks and other unforeseen catastrophes.

The agency has developed a set of informational guides designed to prepare you, your families and pets for emergencies. billyji, how long has your friend worked for NASA? I ask because I used to work in the Federal Government (stupid cubicle job that I hated) and we got emails like this every year. Same wording and everything (except for the space part, and I understand that as NASA has employees who go out to the spacestations etc. they need to word it that way) just change the names of the directors around (and of course they'd send you to that agency's specific link) but it was the same thing. Was there anything else to indicate that this is different than those yearly emails?

Hi sshenry, As i mentioned at the beginning of the post, i copied the comment from the video link. jcattera is the one who has the friend in NASA. sorry about the misunderstanding.

Personaly i take whatever NASA says with a grain of salt, But i think they are just comfirming what we all know already. Mother Earth and our neighbouring celestials are going through a shift, so be prepared. No news there. But nice for them to admit that a shift is taking place.

Have no fear, be aware and prepared, everything is going to be alright.

I had a funny coincidence regarding this post. When I returned to work after some days off I had an email to the fact that my dept was issued a pager for emergency management and who we were to contact if it activated, how weird is that. My thought is its just coincidence and with storms etc. in the news people are just doing their jobs and putting stuff out there. I have had some amazing experiences in the past two years that lead me to believe something is going on, but this I feel has nothing to do with that. Just my opinion.
