i had a very vivid dream the other night.
and i am hoping someone may help interprtate it.
i am asleep facing my partner, then i am aware of someone behind me.
only i cannot move,i am paralyzed.
a slender hand comes into my view.
the hand strokes the face of my partner with the back of her hand.
i am terrified but still cannot move.
my partner wakes up and looks over me.she is horrified and scared.
i manage to move and see two figures walking away at the bottom of the bed.
they are just out of focus.
i wake up sweating and see my partner still asleep.
any ideas anyone.
thanks.

In my experience unwanted or un-invited being or spirits should not be able to go around freely ~without being granted as such.
It might sound a little strange, but check all closet doors or cupboards and such an be sure that all doors are well shut before bed. Spirits or unbodied beings cannot open physical barriers easily and without being noticed. However like a thief does in casing things for value, if you leave it open be assured some thing will go through.

I can't help you with the interpretation of your dream but i would suggest doing protection things. Salt near doors and windows, and invisioning a protective bubble around your home and yourself and loved ones.
not to take away from you but i had a dream the other night i was ratted out by one of the members here and people were after me. i only remember snippets right now that i wont go into cause this is your place not mine but i was so unnerved by it i had to sleep with a light on for the rest of the night. Still unsettles me a little it was way too real. Im sure we are all targeted in some way and i would just focus on protection and blocking your mind from unwanted snoopers. Most of all, which i failed at the other night, but dont let fear overcome you. they'll feed on your fear.

Hello Manny! This is mee favorite topic. There are many many dreamstates, trance states, Astral states, etc... They are all connected and they are all individual to the person experiencing them. There are also many fear layers that we will shed as we go down the 'rabbit hole'. The dreaming states are much more close to the Astral envioronment than,, say the fully exteriorized OBE. Astral dreaming is a bit different than normal 'dreaming' in that a 'lucid astral dream' is more likely a MEMORY of an actual event, that we are remembering via the Dream States. Astral entities are real. And as our personal awakenings are occuring we will experience these types of astral entities. The fear layers are real, too. I would not jump to the conclusion that you were being 'targeted',, at least by physical humans... Many early experiences will be augmented by the 'fear' that goes with opening doors into the unknown. Perhaps if the 'fear' layer was not present in your dream, you would not have been paralyzed and you would have had a different experience altogether.
Do take some time to consider that some LD experiences are memories of more profound non-physical experiences. So many memories can come spilling in once we realize this.
I do not think that you are a 'target'. But that is my opinion. I have felt, VERY OFTEN that i was a target by outside influences and/or astral beings. At times,,, I WAS! But mostly not. Even the times that I feel I was being 'harrassed' (for lack of a better word) the beings that were doing the 'targeting' were NOT human!
I believe that your lucid dreaming is a sign of your inevitable awakening into consciousness. And fear is part of it. I have re-met some of the non-physical beings that used to freak me out and cause much fear. They do not trigger fear barriers any more. They are beautiful beings that I have known for a loooooooooong time. Maybe this is the same thing that is happening to you too. I don't presume to know the answer completely. But I suspect that you are having some pretty sophisticated astral awareness events.
Congrats! Jake.

I find where you find fear or fearful things, processing that fear is what is being requested. As awareness grows, so to does the interactions with "fearful" things - often they come it dreams - this is just some unconscious fear of yours rising to the surface for you to process. It comes with the expansion of awareness or consciousness. I have had massive amounts of the most incredible nightmares - and they all coincide with the rate of the expansion of my consciousness. Whether it is other beings helping the process - it is all you, as a being of light you can only be attacked to the level you allow it and have the ability to cope and process it (not that everyone does - but the ability is there).
I also think that you may be getting the term "Lucid" as it relates to dreaming incorrectly. Vivid seems to be the word to describe your dream. When I have a lucid dream I am fully conscious that I am in a dream - there is no fear as I control every aspect of the dream. This is lucid dreaming to me.
My 2 cents ;)
¤=[Post Update]=¤
And in the spirit of Jake's post above, I too have turned horrible monsters in my dreams into loving friends - simply by giving them love instead of fear - they really appreciate that ;)

I think you just explained the meaning of the dream. In a combative sense, our families are our biggest weakness, especially in alternative/spiritual matters as they may not be as aware of threats and even think we're a little crazy when we ply them with crystals for 'good luck'. If that fear exists in you then I would suggest you are being shown it by either your own subconscious or something/someone external. Depending on if you believe they were actual separate beings or a projection of your self. I don't think it matters really. The message is what counts.
As NomadGuy said, invitation is required. There's lots of defensive magic(k) online that can be used to cleanse then seal an environment. All that is really required is the intention and focused will, but ritual and prop keep the mind quiet and quacks in business so it's all good. I make a point of keeping barriers maintained and cleansing first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
I did get a bit slack lately and something dark came in to try and freak me out. It coincided with me starting to post on the charles thread but whether it was related or not is irrelevant to me. It got kicked out and thanked for reminding me to not be lazy. Continued thinking about it would create a connection and possibly an invitation.
Just remember, it's your house and it has a spirit. If you respect and feed that spirit you can give it instructions and sleep safe knowing nothing will get through. =]

i have astral travelled for many years now.
if you check my earlier posts i have tried to explain it ,but maybe not very well.
my concern is that latley i have a couple of very lucid dreams(thats the way i explain them)of negative energys, wanting to scare me or surpress me.
maybe it,s nothing, just my mind taking in all the information that i am experinecing.
thank you.

I went through a huge sort of awakening phase, for lack of a better term, a few years ago. It was like suddenly my light was shining very brightly, like a spotlight into the universe. During that time I had a lot of visitors, not necissarily negative, just very, very active. I might as well have just shouted out "look at me-I don't know what I'm doing!" I learned more about clearing out my house and doing some basic shielding techniques.
Mind you I didn't do anything in particular to bring this attention to myself, at least not on purpose. I don't think by you being on this forum has done anything to bring this into your life, your awareness is expanding is all.

Hi I'm also looking for advice aswell ... 2 nights ago I was sleeping / dreaming about whatever , then all of a sudden I had the sensation that I was floating as high as the ceiling in my hallway .
It was a distinct overview , and seemed so real as if I was completely awake ... although I did notice that I could not see any of my body , like i was an invisible energy .
I contiued down the hallway then down the stairs . Then the rest is just a blur ... Any thoughts would be great thanx

a little note about astral travel,
if you do this, you can become noticed and then followed, might be good to have a measure that you do before you leave the body and then when you return, light blast I call it. Clear the air so-to-speak. Some say do a spirit cleanse etc.

I can't interpret your dream. The only thing I'd like to add to all of this is what I really take note of is the way you describe how you woke up. I know what you mean to wake up and intuitively know something seems off about a dream. Sometimes you may wake up from a nightmare and think "OK, calm down it was just a bad dream" and fall back asleep. Though there are some times where you wake up and think "What the hell just happened?" So, just like one person to another, I hear you.
I also want to echo this:
I also think that you may be getting the term "Lucid" as it relates to dreaming incorrectly. Vivid seems to be the word to describe your dream. When I have a lucid dream I am fully conscious that I am in a dream - there is no fear as I control every aspect of the dream. This is lucid dreaming to me.
I think you just had a vivid dream. No entity would threaten me in a lucid dream because they know better. I have 180'd a bad dream before by becoming lucid right in the middle of it.

laughter is the best medicine...and best defense. When you can look back on a fearful dream and can find the humour in it and genuinely find a reason to smile or laugh, it's like switching the light on, darkness disappears in the presence of light.
I remember when I first started meditating I'd have sleep paralysis dreams of alien greys, intimidating people attacking me with weapons or animals eating me lol was a problem for a while until i learned to stop resisting and just invite these things in to the party in my soul, let them bathe in the light and they'll soon stop bothering you.
There's still a couple of cleansing mediations I do on occasion before I go to sleep...
the first is just to imagine a simple ray of light beaming out from you, the full height of your body then imagine it swirling around you in a clockwise motion, just keep moving it around and around until you feel the sensations of light as it moves through you. Simple yet effective.
the second one was taught by the buddha to teach people humility and help people overcome attachment to the physical body...
you lie down on your back as you would before sleeping then start to imagine the flesh of your body is rotting and decomposing and as it does so you allow any negetive spirits to come and feast on your flesh, you offer it to them as a gift...once all the flesh has gone you start to visualise all the bones in your left foot, then right foot, imagine all the details of the bones as your awareness moves up your left leg, then right leg, moving up to your hips and beyond imagining every bone in your body, looking at a model skeleton prior to meditation can help. When you can imagine yourself as a full skeleton then imagine the bones beginning to glow brightly, white hot, turning into pure light, then evaporating into dust and being blown away as star dust into the cosmos. Bathe in the wisdom of your eternal spirit beyond form, contemplate the emptiness of everything.
this technique is said to develop all kinds of spiritual powers when combined with sexual energy cultivation (the alchemy of non leakage of energy from ejaculation) and along with anapana breathing were the only two meditation techniques originally allowed into china from india when buddhism was making it's way into tibetan culture. It's a technique highly revered by the sages simply because it works in speeding up a persons journey toward enlightenment.
Just be aware that the word nutrition comes from the roman words nux meaning 'light' and trition meaning 'process'. when we eat nutritious food we're literally processing the condensed light in the sugars, proteins and carbohydrates to fill our bodies with light. So when I let the negetive spirits feast on my flesh I just skip the whole rotting bit and see my flesh glow hot white and evaporate in a supernova flash that all sentient beings can feast upon as the light surges out across the cosmos, after all that's all these negetive entities are looking for...more light they can use to help them in their own process of enlightenment.

its alright if it is random, before you fall into sleep remind your "big being" to tidy up before it goes about playing around in the timeless. Whatever you ask yourself in this way WILL happen. It does not matter so much that you are validated about it. It will happen you will not deny your own intent. Half of gaining more control in dreams is to trust yourself.

Do you think your dream had anything to do with atticus? I feel like he was targeting people psychically on this forum. After hearing the initial interview, I chose not to keep up on the atticus stuff, I had negative feelings about him. I still don't know what really happened and I am lost. lol....

---
The presence of other beings can be very disturbing... Often their energy is extremely different to all we are used to.
I personally choose not to be present on astral spheres during my sleep - so I meditate before sleeping to clearify my emotional and mental fields.
Then I set a mental intention that I want to wake up
when ever I am drawn into astral realms.
For me it is much easier to communicate with beings telepathically when I'm awake.
According to my experience our learning goes into two directions:
We have to train the "muscle" to be abel to defend our space:
"This is my body, this is my apartment!"
.
But on the other hand we can learn to be completely loving in a pure spiritual sense. This love enables us to look through all the layers and be aware of their spiritual heritage.
This reminder can make a big change for them and - as already mentioned by DeDukshyn - might turn monsters into friends.
Best wishes, Sepia

Dreams - A Source of Inner Truth
Awaken to Your Dreams
Dreams touch every level of our life. They may let us glimpse the future, or give suggestions for healing, or share insights into our relationships. Above all, they can and will steer us more directly toward God.
Dreams can teach you how to look at your life and your dreams from a spiritual perspective. Working with your dreams from this viewpoint can help you handle daily challenges and learn from them. The understanding you gain can bring you more patience, compassion, and love. Dreams can also give you the courage to recognize and pursue your divine purpose in life.
A Dream Exercise
Dreams are an easy and natural way to pursue spiritual unfoldment. Here is an exercise you can try before you go to sleep. It can help you see your problems from a higher viewpoint to aid you in your life.
Make a request. Before you go to sleep, write down a question about a problem that bothers you. Ask the Dream Master or your own spiritual teacher for guidance on this question. Lie down, and close your eyes.
Sing HU. Softly sing HU (pronounced like the word hue) for about five minutes. HU is an ancient name for God. It has the unique ability to lift you into a higher state of awareness. Singing HU connects you with Divine Spirit, which can be seen as an inner light or heard as sound.
Write down your experiences. When you wake up in the morning, write down any dreams, thoughts, or feelings, even if you don't think they are significant. As you go through your day, write down any new thoughts or experiences that relate to your problem. Do this for three to five days. Then look over your notes. You may discover that images you first thought were unrelated now make sense and give you clues to the overall pattern of your life.
Do you ever wake from a dream unable to quite remember where you were? Then an image may gently float in, or something sparks your memory. Suddenly you recall a scene as real as the world in front of you.
Dreams: A Source of Inner Truth
Dreams are windows into worlds beyond the ordinary. Some people have dreams that give them guidance about the smallest details of their daily life along with profound spiritual insights. Others experience unconditional and transforming love in their dreams.
Dreams are a direct line to the sea of our hidden life, much like a fishing line dropped from a small boat into a bottomless sea.
Dreams are a spiritual tool of the Holy Spirit to help you find your way to God. Take advantage of this help. There is so much more to life than you'll ever find in something so small as a rowboat, or as narrow as the human state of consciousness.
Technique: The Golden Cup
Every evening at bedtime visualize a golden cup by your bed. Its beverage is your dreams. When you first awaken, in a morning contemplation, drink from this cup in your imagination. You are drinking in the night's experiences. It is a conscious way of saying, I wish to recall my night's activities on the inner planes while my body slept.
The golden cup is Soul; it is you. You are one and the same.
As you get in the habit of drinking from this cup, this practice takes on a life of its own. The more the Spirit refills this cup, the more Soul (you) shines of Its own golden light. You become an ever brighter instrument for the Holy Spirit.
Your conscious experiences, day and night, will lead to a greater understanding of your place in the spiritual order of life.
Exercise: How to Get Answers in Your Dreams
At some level, Soul knows all things. If there is something that you'd like to bring down to your day-to-day, waking consciousness, here is a way to go about it.
Before you go to sleep, relax and decide that upon awakening you will have the answer to whatever question is on your mind. The matter should be of a spiritual nature.
By morning, expect to have the answer in mind.
This is how the process works. At the moment of slipping from the sleep state to the waking, your heart is still open to the night's dream lesson. It is truth, and you are in direct contact with it. At this moment of waking, your answer is within your reach.
Jot down a quick note of the solution in your dream journal. Do it now. Otherwise the answer is lost.
A solution exists for every challenge to our peace of mind. There is always a way, somehow. What holds us back from happiness is our lack of faith in the mighty power of the Holy Spirit to address our most humble needs.
Learn the value of doing a spiritual exercise before bedtime or upon rising. These times work to your advantage while you pursue the expansion of conscious awareness in your dreams.
TO FEEL SAFE AT NIGHT.
If you are not feeling safe at night, you can use this exercise to help you feel protected. You can use it in the day too.
Imagine a beautiful golden bubble around your bed, close your eyes and start to feel the amazing texture of this bubble, shimmering and sparkling. Get vey comfortable inside your bubble, safe and protected. Understand that your bubble is so strong, nothing negative cannot penetrate your bubble. At night you will sleep soundly and peacefully. Also your bubble not only protects you it attracts only positive energy to you. If you do this exercise at night you will have a good nights sleep. You can also add another bubble around your house, bubbles inside bubbles, then around the neighbourhood, then around your town, then around the world.
I hope you find some of these ideas helpful.
