Also on Kerry's blog. Anyone in denial now has only him/herself to blame. A room with no windows or hardly any and closed vents: radiation??? This motivates me to tweak my emergency supplies.

I recall on Avalon 1 that dulse was recommended.

How prepared do we need to be? 3 months supply of food and water is that enough? Seeds to plant is that enough? Have gold on hand is that enough? How can you possibly plan for what could happen? There is such a variety of possibilities of things that could happen. We are sort of are prepared, family meeting place, some supplies on hand. I think you just have to deal with things as they happen, no one can really be totally prepared. What if you have millions invested in an underground shelter and it gets sucked up by an earthquake! Back to the living in the NOW with both eyes wide open...

I'm already as prepared as I need to be. I am always where I need to be at the moment I need to be there...

If that all means that, come the end of this year I'm meant to be dead, than so be it. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is going to stop my death from happening. And I'm not afraid. Of course, many are going to be in deep fear when things really start to happen, but I've already conquered my fear of death, I fear nothing. Death is just another transformation, and if that is what is to happen to me, I look forward to experiencing what is on the other side of the veil....

But I have a feeling I'm meant to be here a while longer tho. I want to see this world transformed into a place I would WANT my children to grow up, and I have an inner knowledge that I will see this come to pass.

In the meantime, I will listen to spirit, and heed its' small voice within me. I trust I will be where I need to be when the **** starts to hit the fan....

If you are here to play the 'survival game' then go and stockpile food and board up your windows, me, I'm going sailing.........life's too short ;)

Well in life everything happens for a reason, so if you are going to die from an earthquake thats because for some reason or a other it was your time to go.
But it's still strange that Nasa suddenly comes out with this information.

This could also be related to the huge solar eruption a couple o' days ago, would make sense, moreover when the sun's activity is increasing.
So what he's saying is be prepared and have a plan in case there is an emergency. Any kind of emergency like a hurricane or an earthquake, or just a simple power shortage. Pretty basic stuff even if you aren't paranoid.

Exactly. My belief is that you should always look at, not so much the action, but the ENERGY behind the action. If it's coming from a place of fear, that should be a warning sign that you should not be following that action through..

For instance, I can't help but think that stockpiling for preparedness stems from a FEAR that you're going to run out, that you're going to starve....

My counter to that is I say you should have *FAITH* in the universe, and the universe will always provide for you - you will not go without.

Rather than stockpiling, we should work with our neighbours to foster a sense of COMMUNITY and to help each-other out wherever possible - that is far more important. It is our neighboaurs and community who we will fall back on should the **** hit the fan. A community where everyone looks after him/herself will implode. A community where everyone helps those around them will be a source of strength for all involved. In short, you will ensure those around you survive, and they will do the same for you - and you're not alone, but amongst friends. We may need all the strength we can muster to make it through the next few years with our sanity intact, and if we have a strong source of that strength around us for us to draw upon it it will make the whole situation that much easier to handle for us all....

This is a standard hurricane season "Family Preparedness" video. The truth is we should always be prepared to help our family and each other. There are family disasters, community disasters, and national disasters. It's not living in fear, it's called reaping and sowing. Be the steady ant who puts food away in the summer so when winter comes you are not in crisis. You can choose to be the grasshopper and hope some ants are there to help you and hopefully you will be ok.. I have prepared physically and spiritually with my family in case of some disaster. It's never a bad idea to have a yearly check-up to make sure everyone knows the plan.

Hugs to all

My thoughts exactly. Thanks for the wise words!

Well, if you're in an area known for hurricane activity than it makes sense to make sure you are prepared for all eventualities. But it's still a good idea to watch your inner feelings, because coming from a place of fear is not coming from a place of strength, it's coming from a place of weakness. I guess you could say though, that stockpiling out of fear is more akin to hoarding - where you keep it all for yourself. I think that's the difference - many people who would stockpile would also happily help out a neighbour in need if it was asked of them. A hoarder wouldn't.

Or maybe I've got to all wrong...? It's getting late and my brain is beginning to shut down :)

I know of no place on earth where the proverbial **** can't hit the fan. Hurricanes, floods, fires, tornadoes, economic collapse, rioting, lose a job, get sick, are just some of the things that can put your family in a crisis mode. How many of you if you lost your job could honestly cover your expenses for just six months? Think of how much basic needs cost for six months. Think about what you would do without a good fresh clean supply of water. How about medicine? Do you or any of your family members need a drug to live? Lot's of people would be up a creek without a paddle if for some reason they did not have a way to get such things. There are solutions, but it requires doing more than going to work, watching t.v. or being on the internet doing whatever. It takes a little bit of time, money and effort, but if it's important to you then you will diligently set aside the funds needed for that "in case of emergency" situation. I don't call it fear, but peace of mind. I know what grows naturally in North Florida to survive should food become and issue. I know first aid should that be needed. I have done what I can up to this point and have plans to do more. I for one want off the grid as soon as possible and have friends around me who feel the same. It's not fear, it's called common sense where I come from.

As I see it, there are two choices:

1: You are born - you live your life - you die
2: You are born - you worry about dying - you die

If you live your life following number 2, then you are playing someone else's game and you've probably forgotten that IT IS A GAME!
I used to follow number 2, but now, I can only follow number 1...........I cannot now go back to 2 even if I wanted to.

It's all in the mind..........make sure it's YOUR mind ;)

I mostly agree with you. I don't fear death. should i have to die, then I'll go without a fuss. I had a good life here on this planet. I made lots of friends, met some wonderful people. and done mostly what i wanted to do.
My problem is my children.I want my young son to experience how beautiful this planet is, the wonderful people living on it. And what about my 10 month old grand son?
He is so so cute, He has just joined us in the family. My daughter would be devastated if she lost him.the idea of him been taken away breaks my heart.
If I had to sacrifice my life for them to live. Then I'm ready to go now. But that's not how it is, is it? No one knows who will go or stay.

Please tell me something to heal this hurt?

I have to agree with United Serenity.

The video is not about fear mongering or whatever you want to call it - it's about being prepared because hurricane season is right around the corner and if you work at Kennedy space center it would be wise to let employees know that it's a good idea to prepare considering how crazy the weather has been around the world, especially the mid west of the US.

I pray that we do not have anything disastrous happen this season due to hurricanes. Just look at what tornadoes did to the mid west. Imagine what a few massive hurricanes could do. I would definitely not want to be around for that. But, like someone else said above me, I'm ready to go at any moment. I'm not afraid of dying. If I'm to die in a hurricane then so be it. Hopefully I don't though because I also want to see this world transformed into what I envision which is something wonderful.

edit: I live in Florida as well.

But who is going to take him away? You say you don't fear death, but you do..... You are living with the fear of the death of someone that you love.
To truly lose that fear is very simple, but also extremely difficult ;)
I have three great kids, two step kids and two wonderful granddaughters, would I die for them, absolutely, in fact, if it is needed to save others I am prepared for it.
Don't get me wrong, I have no death wish, quite the opposite, I absolutely love my life................without fear.
