I was listening to coast to coast last night and the show was about the big announcements coming today from the Astronomical Society of America (I think that's what they called it) about sun cycle 24 being much more interesting and possibly dangerous than previously thought.

It was being compaired to cycle 14 which had a lot of cold not the first mentioned cycle 4 mini ice age. So, they are predicting that maybe near 2013 we will go into global cooling. It was said that the class C and M solar storms could be just as dangerous as the X10 for satallites and our functioning in developed countries that are so dependent upon electronics.

I'd love to hear other's talk about this as I am a watcher, but this is not really my area of expertise. So, fire away and let me know what you know / think is going on through 2013 regarding the sun's activities and earth's magnetosphere.
