Hi all,
2 minutes after accepting/acknowledging Bill Ryan's invitation to join project Avalon i stepped outside with the recyclables to find a Diamondback Rattlesnake
poised in the strike mode 6 steps from the door. After some quiet reflection it was gently guided with the help of a broom back into the yard/desert.
I am glad to be on board!

A couple of years ago I came within a half a step of stepping on a 6 foot long diamondback in the woods. That will certainly get your attention to say the least huh?
Welcome to Avalon amedeejp, hang on tight and jump in.
Cheers,
Fred

Welcome to the land of 'The Knowledge of Good and Evil'. A place they say in the Bible that the 'Snake" warned us against. hmmm...I wonder if he/she was a Diamondback Rattler?
Glad to have you here! I'm sure you will add to our 'knowledge' also.
Cheers!

welcome to the rabbit hole!;)
I have an agreement with bees and snakes. They don't sting me or bite me and I don't kill them with out good cause(i.e. a nest on my home or bridge I walk). Walking through the woods, I ask God to keep them away from me and me away from them. Never fails!

Well hello and welcome to Avalon ~ sorry a Rattler was your welcoming committee but we shall do better next time. Now that Avalons' official band is back in practice ~ who knows what greatness lies ahead for you here. They are practicing now and promise a warm welcome for all newbies.
At least if you get bit on Avalon, it is not fatal just annoying and itchy! May the laughter never cease and bliss be yours without a need for snake bite kits is my prayer for you. Much love! xoxox
