I woke up from a very interesting dream title the action of non action. Many people here feel a bit stress by the changes. We post words, the difference is the mods have to work on both forums trying to keep this place sane. The mod is the person who makes the coffee in the morning while we are the ones who sit down and wait for the coffee. I don't know if this makes sense to you but my advice is wait for the coffee to be serve or help the mods to make the coffee and hand out coffee to everyone. Please don't judge unless you walk a mile in someone else shoes. Give these people time to sort it out. Please !!!
Wow the dream was very vivid and it did not makes sense into I began reading how even the people who where call to help make the coffee decided to sit instead. Is not an easy job and yes mistakes will be made until things get sorted out, please be patient. Once PA2 is live and WE ALL ARE THERE, then we could try to stir the ship a little better. Last and not least I do not consider myself to be anyone special and I am looking forward to make a positive contribution in this world not just this forum , lets do it together.

There will be growing pains, but if taken in the right context, we will all learn from them, and continue to grow as we are meant to, untethered with open hearts and open minds.
We are humans becoming, watch us become! :cheer2:

you are right...
after i had 'slept on it', I realized that trying to keep both forums going is just wasted energy for the sake of duplication... I did not realize (until I saw the formating of A2) that it is really A1 with added security levels for the people who are serious about getting down to business.
it looks really great... and if there is any way i can help ... just ask- I will do what I can.

Agree 100%. There seems little point in living on this planet, otherwise. I'm brand-new to these forums. I joined the old one, and it seemed pretty chaotic to me. It's almost as though people were competing to win the "most enlightened performance" Oscar. I don't know why I was invited to join this new forum, since no one here knows me. But I'm happy to be here so far. What I'm interested in is reasoned dialogue, with some give and take. Some of the subjects that interest me are pretty complex, and I'm hoping to hear what others have to say about such topics as why we exist, what we can do to make life better for all, how we can join together in friendship, and become more complete human beings.
Thanks for inviting me!

All of the subjects here interest me, whether its ufos, 2012, nwo, spirituality, ancient history, etc. and they need not be complex, I find that there is a very basic and fundamental truth to all these subjects, there are always new things that come up, I think more as a distraction than anything, but I'm interested in that smaller percentage of cases where you're dealing with something hard-proof-real yet enlightening as well.
Welcome aboard Rob, glad to be here too.

Hi Majorion. Thanks for the welcome! Can you give me a few examples of subjects that you consider to fit into that category (hard-proof-real yet enlightening)?

Sure, this is by no means an "absolute" answer on my part, everyone comes to their own conclusions on so many different things, this is by no means "the truth", but it is my truth and I've seen too much evidence for it and I constantly see more. A few examples would mostly be based on works by Erik Von Daniken, Michael Cremo, Richard Hoagland, and some others, whom, through my own independent investigation and research was able to corroborate much of the information these authors had to share. If I get more specific and more in-depth beyond the "basic truth" of these subjects, then it becomes speculation, sometimes its good speculation and with a good basis, and other times its nonsense speculation based on nothing more than questionable logic; which IMO skews the issue further among the "consensus" folks, but hey, this is all just personal opinion, of which I'm hopefully going to share much more on this forum and look forward (as always) to learning from others.
Cheers,

It's always good to keep an open mind, for sure. I'd be interested in how you were able to corroborate any of these authors' claims. They seem to be pretty far out in the hinterlands, as far as verifiable facts are concerned. I don't see much in the way of peer reviews, and some of what I'm reading seems like the product of unbridled imagination or wishful thinking. On the other hand, I'm always interested in learning new things, but on the other, other hand, I don't buy into alternative theories without a whole lot of solid evidence. So, any corroboration you have to offer would be very helpful in getting a balanced view.

This morning I began to have a few problems with my internet connection everything is back to normal. Things are beginning to iron themselves out, and for that I am a very happy man. Changes can be chaotic at times specially starting a new forum. A few years ago I help to remodel the manufacturing plant in which I was working , it look better and it was more efficient yet people initially did not like it because they got used to the old machines and ways of doing things. Is going to take some time to get use to this PA2, is all good .

Just had to chine in a welcome, and to say what a pleasure it is to just hear that again.

In my opinion, it is difficult to get peer reviews for most of the "alternative" stuff coming out these days because the establishment scientists don't want to look at it. Even trying to get a medical doctor to tell you about alternative therapies usually results in them looking at you as though you are nuts.
Also, I think "proof" of anything is almost impossible to find so we have to take the various pieces of evidence and decide for ourselves if it's correct or not. What's true for me may not be true for you and vice versa. It depends on our life experiences and the other evidence we may have come across that fits in with what we're looking at.
Personally, I watched an 8-hour presentation on youtube by Nassim Haramein which blew me away because it agreed with many things I'd learned previously and it added so much more to my knowledge. But there is no way I could prove what he says is true. It's true for me, that's all.

The action of no action;
Preventing yourself from throwing yourself into action based on emotions and thoughtprocesses is the action of no action imo.
Taking action based on the quiet core of who you really are is what you get if you train yourself to refrain from action based on emotion and thought.
Action based on emotion and thought is ego...ego based action is never for the good of all but for the good of self.
imho.

Thank you Frank Samuel for opening this thread.
The action of non action is one of the basic principles of the Taoism. Paradoxical in it`s core, this principle is best showed in the first opening sentence of "The Book of The Way" (Tao Te Ching) by the founder Lao Tzu. Since he was in some way practically compelled to wrote the book about his teachings - and that was in the very collision with what he taught - he opened the book with a "small" revenge: "The Tao that can be expressed is not the absolute Tao."
Boom! So, the big question is: is there any sense to read further?
Few sentences after, he wrote: "Because of that, the wise one is acting without acting, and he spreads his teachings without words".
I believe that the the truth is expressing itself most visible way in the paradoxes, that in my opinion are a fixed point were the two opposites of the dichotomy of the 3D are crossing them selves, producing a cognitive insight equal to the real conscious about the very essence of this reality.
The big principle of the Tao`s "action of non action" is the reconciliation of the basic opposites into a natural unity with spontaneous liberation from any kind of imposed order.
I believe Avlon2 should have a sense for this approach.
Greetings

Aha, synchronicity. I started reading Tao Te Ching just a few days ago and gave up after the first few sentences. Have I achieved total wisdom or am I just lazy? I'll meditate on that:confused:

Good morning to everyone , Oliver you made me laugh and in my dream I saw a Buddhist monk very insistent upon this title even to the point of holding a signed, a strange dream indeed.
The action of non action, for me it simply meant if you want to make a change in the world around you just help others to do the same. In this case is the Mods who are having a very hard time trying to smooth things out. This has been and it is a logistical nightmare, so in the meantime I am compel to simply love and love some more. I think AV2 will be a great place to start anew for all and I for one have put my foot in my mouth plenty of times. Among friends all can be forgiven, I think this is a lesson which even in the world around us we still have to learn..
You guys and gals are an extension of my physical family, you are the family of HEART. A great place to renew our energy vibration and ponder at the possibilities that tomorrow may bring,
If we can win the battle over ourselves then there's no need to fight with others because we are at peace. Thus the title the action of non action. This monks where wise indeed even in martial arts like Taichi this philosophy of hard and soft is reflected.
Blessings to you and yours ..:grouphug::wub:

WU WEI. ..............................Natural action.
Wu wei (simplified Chinese: 无为; traditional Chinese: 無爲; pinyin: wúwéi) is an important concept of Taoism (Daoism), that involves knowing when to act and when not to act. Another perspective to this is that "Wu Wei" means natural action - as planets revolve around the sun, they "do" this revolving, but without "doing" it; or as trees grow, they "do", but without "doing". Thus knowing when (and how) to act is not knowledge in the sense that one would think "now" is the right time to do "this", but rather just doing it, doing the natural thing.
Wu may be translated as not have or without; Wei may be translated as do, act, serve as, govern or effort. The literal meaning of Wu Wei is "without action" and is often included in the paradox wei wu wei: "action without action" or "effortless doing". The practice of wu wei and the efficacy of wei wu wei are fundamental tenets in Chinese thought and have been mostly emphasized by the Taoist school. The aim of wu wei is to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium, or alignment with the Tao, and, as a result, obtain an irresistible form of "soft and invisible" power.
There is another less commonly referenced sense of wu wei; "action that does not involve struggle or excessive effort". In this instance, Wu means "without" and Wei means "effort". The concept of "effortless action" is a part of Taoist Internal martial arts such as Tai chi, Baguazhang and Xing Yi. It follows that Wu wei complies with the main feature and distinguishing characteristic of Taoism, that of being natural. To apply wu wei to any situation is to take natural action.

Ah, Oliver,
thank you for your compliment but I did a c&p from Wiki.;)
My English is sufficient but not that good.:eyebrows:
I practiced T'ai Chi for many years so I choose to post it here as it is a correct concept of Wu Wei.
A very practical form of Wu Wei is the Shaolin warrior monks. Action comes out of no action.
Defensive fight comes out of meditation/empty mind
They practice untill it becomes a natural action.

Jenny you made my hair stand up, you brought me back to the world of my childhood. I have a love for martial arts as a way of life.
Thank you for the memories , as a scare kid studying martial arts, it help me to loose my fear and feel compassion for those that seem threatening to me.
The enemy was very clear it was not my opponent instead it was me,learning to use the opponents energy and momentum , in that way he defeated himself .
Martial Arts today as a sport has lost the essence of the real master's teachings .

Hello all,
I've read through all of these posts, and I find them all fascinating. I'm new to this community, and I actually have no first-hand knowledge of what the old forums were like (except for a couple of days), or about whatever troubles they had. I also have no hidden agendas, nor anything to sell. What you see is what you get.
What I'm after is a community of kindred spirits who like to wonder and share thoughts and dreams about the Cosmos on one end of the spectrum, and who also want to apply the reality of the universal connectedness we all talk about to practical, commonsensical, every day life issues on the other end.
Like I said, I don't know exactly what happened to the other forums, but I can guess. Let me share a story with you:
I was at an "unofficial" Rainbow Gathering on Mount Shasta in California, back in the mid-70's. At that gathering, as it turns out, there were two men who each claimed to be Jesus Christ, returned. Well, they got into a huge argument, and people began to take sides. It started getting ugly, so I stepped in.
"Listen, guys - you both can't be Jesus. At least one of you is an impostor. Now which one is it?" Each pointed at the other.
"I'm going to go out on a limb, here, and state that I don't believe either one of you is Jesus. It feels like two human beings arguing over purely human issues. But both of you want to bring peace to the world, right?" They both nodded.
"OK, then why don't the two of you go sit under that tree over there, and figure out how you can work together to bring that about?"
So, the two Jesus Christs went over to the tree, sat down, and started talking quietly together. And peace descended over the camp.
Is the first part of the story close to what happened in the other forums, and is the second part what seems to be happening here? If so, I'm all in.
Rob

I think there still are teachers who do teach the philosophy of martial arts.
It is the core of any action.
Not just in martial arts but in daily life, all situations. As you said; it is a way of life.

The action of non action is learning to love and be love. Mere words unless it is substantiated by your actions. The opportunity offer by the events unfolding created a unique moment in time where words and deeds became one.I find most challenging that the action to transcend beyond words and create images with your actions that change your life and the life of others is in fact the real essence of that word.Things have smooth out in PA2 for those in PA1 still there stubbornly refusing to budge , no one can tell you what to do except for your heart. My heart just says lets move one there's many important things to do in our preparations for the coming events, there's no time to waste. We are a family connected consciously and unconsciously through the cognitive highway and your incredible beautiful heart.
Lets have fun in PA2 and let the bygones be bygones. I take this opportunity to thank everyone here for being your beautiful self and just wanted to wish you a great and awesome day.
Many, many Blessings to you and yours. Coffee or Tea ?:tea::):thumb::wub:
