We have all heard of this story and for those who havent check out the above link sorry for bringing it up again but what interests me is hoax or not,the goverment did'nt try to cover it up.No-one was ever found to be responsible.Not even the students they assumed to have done it.Imagine being there watching it.

What would be interesting does anybody have any definate proof this was a hoax.With the alien speaking in a british accent it sure feels like an hoax but can we be sure 100%.

Every alien incident the government tries to act like didn’t happen, or was a hoax. Just like Roswell UFO incident in July 1947. I Remember this I was listening to it again, a couple of weeks ago , and rang Ecnal 61 as he had not heard it before , the link is on u tube really wierd stuff when you consider when it was broadcast back in the seventies at the height of the cold war...As the One said above if you have not come across it , its a must listen the way they cut into the analogue transmitter during the evening news....and as it finnishes 'Looney Tunes' cuts in, really surreal ,( especially as his voice sounds like the mysterons out of the Captain Scarlet Sci-Fi Puppet show ) maybe it was Gerri Anderson having a laugh......

when i listened to this a few weeks ago it sounded real, even a little creepy, but back then who owned transmitting equipment powerful enough to cut in and override a national tv station, not a local radio ham surely,but on the other hand if you were an alien trying get a message through to the people of this planet then why not transmit to the whole planet,but its something worth listening too and the message was relevant then and is still relevant now. i think i told cidersomerset about this.

What an awesome being Vrillion must be. I wonder if he or his race is still here watching and seeing if his message was heard and acted on. I'm sad to think how he would feel about us after 30 plus years of business as usual. I wanted to post the radio message below just in case someone hasn't heard it, as I think it's a true message. The fact that he called his group the Ashtar Galactic Command is very telling. Any more information regarding the Ashtar Galactic Command?
