Edge Media TV

right i'm certainly not one to watch or encourage watching the tv but i really think this channel deserves a mention! when i had a tv it was about the only channel i did watch. i was just wondering if anyone else ever watches it and what they think about it? When i first encountered it i was a bit skeptical being that it was on sky (!!!) but over time it has become apparent that these guys are really doing a great job!
They show a lot of Conscious Media Network interviews, have some "controversial" guests on their chat shows and often show movies like Zeitgeist without any advertisement breaks. i say "advertisement breaks" but there seems to be a huge lack of advertising support (for some reason...!) and the adverts consist of the channel appealing for donations and people to advertise in those breaks. Unfortunately they have also had to cut down the hours they broadcast and so is a bit sporadic throughout the day. this also seems to be due to the lack of support from corporate sponsers... i can't undertsnad why?!!!
So if anyone has a satellite dish i suggest having a little look at it... you don't need a subscription to sky though because it is a free to air satellite channel. i think this is probably only going to be valid for the UK though... not sure. Lets show them some support!

im afraid this thursday's show . on the edge live with david icke is sadly the last show for a while , gutted the station had real guts , and the guys behind it ,put absolutly everthing they had into it.

oh no that is very sad :( like i said i haven't had a tv for a while so i was unaware of that news. well it will probably still be worth using the website if they are going to let people watch the CMN interviews. i know i am grateful for a lot of information these folks managed to broadcast to the general public and i certainly got a few people watching it that would otherwise not have found any non-mainstream media.
all i can say is good luck and i hope it isn't the end! and i'm gonna make sure i see this last interview that's for sure!

Edge Media tv is also the only channel I used to watch and it is so sad that this Thursday’s live show maybe the last – looks like they’re going out with a bang having David Icke on the show – I sure will be watching it. I enjoy Theo’s interviewing techniques and it seems much more down to earth (excuse the expression) than some of the more US dramatic type of interviewing we sometimes see concerning controversial subjects. I just hope that ptb haven’t managed to throw the spanner in the works with this as well!:tsk::(

This is all a bit last minute, but I urge everybody to tune in this coming Thurday (10th June 2010) for a SPECIAL 'On The Edge' with Theo and his guest Jim Corr who will be announcing some potentialy positive news concerning the future of Edge Media.

Hi everyone this is my first post on avalon and i would just lke to say edge tv (which is sky UK channel 200 - this is a free channel which you do not have to pay for) is brilliant, unfortunately thay are really struggling to survive they have set up a website to try and rescue the channel which is here www.edgemediarescue.co.uk give anything you can I am going to give £10 a month myself even though I am struggling financially, we need everybody to unite to save Edge Tv.

:welcome:scootiep. I'm pretty sure you have to pay as it's Sky which is not free - well it's sure not free for me and Edge Media Tv is the only reason I pay Sky.

Hi Gita I used to have premium channels like sky sports and sky films etc... i cancelled my subscription to sky as it was costing a bomb and also because i stopped watching tv, but i kept the sky box, plugged it in when i moved and now i have all the basic channels and edge comes with that too :) so if you wanted to you could cancel your subscription keep the box and you will have edge for nothing hope this has helped :)

Ok, thanks Scootiep :thumb: I was under the impression that the Sky box would no longer work if I cancelled but I may just give it a try. :wink:
