So do you believe that USGS is going in and manually changing the stats? Do you know anything about the richter scale being changed?

Yes, for sure, they remove eartquakes from the lists.


About the change in Richter scale:

They discovered "planet X" in 1983 I heard.. :)

But I cannot find any confirmation about this change in Richter scale. I do not know if its is true, I only know they are downgrading the eartquakes itself.
Perhaps anyone else knows something about if the Richter scale has been changed or not?
