Australia will soon become one of the few countries to have controlled internet censorship. Any attempt at governement censorship is wrong. A corrupt government that tells lies for example would use a filter such as this to silence any opposition or contradictory opinion. This is a slippery slope! There are better approaches to managing inappropriate sites than infringing on peoples civil liberties, their right to choose. The Internet is now a shared human experience, in effect a super brain, censoring it is not unlike performing a surgical lobotomy. You never know what you might accidentally destroy.

Will my comments show up in Australia ?

TPTW are in a lose-lose. Their bad blood is turning to stone, and they're in for a good drown. The more they attempt to consor by clamping down on mass communication, the more the average person will take notice. Guess where more and more will go for their answers? To people like us who they used to think were more than just a wee bit coo coo. Then THEY become ones with answers. The more tptw shut it down, the more powerful becomes the individual.
