The London Meeting.

It was totally disappointing! Not one of members of Special Branch, not one man in black and not one UFO... The only exciting moment was when we were asked to leave, as we were not drinking enough tea! It seems the the 'HitchHicker's Guide' was right....”mainly harmless.”

We got together at the Espresso bar, and fitted names to faces - now that was interesting! I was sure Shijo would be Japanese...but er..no... very Camden, and nice hat! We then went for longish meal, swapping seats to get to know our new best friends. We didn't forget any of you!

Some of us moved again to the roof terrace cafe for a final chat, and that was it. Seventeen people from Avalon had got together and it was good.

We hope to do it again soon, and hopefully more will come. It is really no big deal - just a quiet chat.

I particularly liked the helicopter circling over us for quite some time when we moved from the Giraffe to Hayward roof garden. Avalonians' eyes kept wandering to it with a touch of puzzlement as to whether our energy was really that sparky. Must have been Megawatts1066 firing on all cylinders. Or those rh. neg. redheads. Strange but true - painting on roof opposite Hayward has black helicopter hovering in countryside. Great surreal moment that, amongst the veg. allotments on the roof terrace.

Avalonians there included: Sabrina, Pie'n'eal, Corncrake, Amenjo, Ria, KTlight, FreeMyMind, Bluewool , Megawatts1066, Windmill Shijo (hope haven't missed anyone), plus assorted friends/partners willing to explore the rabbit hole to varying degrees.... It was a great day!. S

At the end of the table where I was, this was discussed, but it was agreed that none of us would recognise him, having realised that the picture that was shown to be him indeed was not him. No 'strangers' approached us.

On reflection, each of us was a stranger to each other. If he had attended, only one wore a hat, I think.
