View Full Version : Will the Awake & Aware conference in Los Angeles be free online??

Anyone know if the upcoming A&A conference in LA will be available to download for free online afterwards?? I absolutely LOVED the last one 2 years ago. Was slightly turned off seeing Kerry charging for the Elenin video recently (not to mention the mini conference last December with Hoagland)...as a result I ended up missing out. Hoping there isn't a trend developing here and that the videos from the upcoming A&A will indeed be free for those who wish to view them afterwards. The truth should be free...and once money is involved it becomes tainted.

Peace...

I understand your viewpoint. I also understand what it takes to make a living.

However, the $33 fee is nearly 'untouchable' by anyone of a nature who seeks truth. IIRC, it was a tongue in cheek joke or similar that made it "$33", instead of another $ number. I think it should be another dollar number than $33.

I'm guessing, and I could be wrong, that a lot more people would pay less money than $33. I nearly paid the $20 fee. I went to pay it, it had gone up to $33. I saw that number, that specific '33'...and backed off.

I already found a place where I can torrent it, but I refuse to do so. I'm so against such things that I've not done it a single time, so far. I work on making things that I try and sell for a living, as well.

FYI, everyone: Even Monks are known to get paid and collect monies.

(Edit: I was talking about the Elenin conference)

This is always a difficult one and I have seen similar threads on other forums. I agree with what you say, and due to my own personal circumstances of having recently had major surgery for bowel Cancer, I have no income and I am certainly in no position to pay to listen to the conferences, so I am going without the information as well.
But, if Individuals are making it their full time job to research the information, then they deserve to be paid, no one else would work full time for nothing, so it creates a bit of a dilemma. Another thing I am concerned about though, and I have said this before, is that if people are working full time in this field and it is their only source of income, then the information has to keep coming so they get paid and can live, so what happens when there is no factual new information? the conferences just become a re hash of old already released information, or god forbid, information is created. Now neither of those is a good scenario, the first because it means people are paying to hear what they have already heard, and the second is obvious. When the conferences were free we could all see that 85% maybe more was stuff we already knew and if you just took the new content, there was no where near enough to merit a conference.
Don't get me wrong, I still like to hear them as it refreshes and consolidates the information in my mind.
Changing the subject slightly, I have heard a few tid bits over the past month and from what I gather, there are some fairly bold statements being made and I can't help thinking that when certain dates come and go just like any other day, a lot of the people who are being paid to be listened to, will have a job to get anyone to listen to them at all.

Hi,

The Awake and Aware conference will be streamed live and it will also be recorded. If we are going to charge or not for the stream\recording is still to be determined. We have had our costs shooting through the roof lately due to higher demand on our websites (aka. more traffic), livestream charges us sick amounts of money for a "Network" account just so we can stream the conference to everyone (I think the figure was around 2000 USD all together just for that).

I can tell you this straight though: If we cover all expenses well on the actual event chances are we might be able to release it for free, I know this is what Kerry really wants and also myself.

It is also no secret that we are trying to live our life while working. We need to pay rent, eat food and upgrade\repair our computers like everyone else. With Project Camelot consuming more time than any ordinary day-job it is certainly hard too work two jobs to support ones expenses.

We do the absolute best we can under the circumstances, we are also trying to do this without putting our self's in debt.

Surely you can all appreciate that if we live on the streets we cant provide anything at all :)

Our goal is to have material free, in fact 99% still is and always will be.

The conferences is about giving something special to those interested while the ones interested can also support us by buying a ticket.

PS: The 33 USD was Hoaglands idea :p It was just to have some fun with symbolism (he is really into symbolic dates, numbers etc). Nothing sinister, something related to a Elenin date :)

No, it clearly said early-bird when the rate was $20 (even in the product title)

Too bad you weren't able to join in. This money thing is tearing on us too, you are not alone in that friend.

Hi there, thx for the reply.

I think what bothers me most is the fact that when Bill and Kerry started out...their mantra was that it must be free...and now that seems to have changed. Don't get me wrong, I fully understand that you have to make a living and that time is money. I have absolutely NO problem whatsoever in paying to attend a conference in person. If I lived in Los Angeles (or even the USA in general)...I'd happilly pay $100-$200-$300 for a weekend long conference with the chance to meet both Bill and Kerry not to mention Bob Dean and Rich Dolan and the others involved. I'd happilly pay to see them speak in person with the chance to ask questions afterwards. Paying for a live event (in person) is one thing....but posting it for download over the internet on a worldwise basis for a price "after the fact" is a different animal altogether. The videos that Bill and Kerry have produced have always been free to download after the fact...and I sure hope that doesn't change. Otherwise, I fear that the truth is not in fact free and it will only be available to a select few that can afford it. The previous conferences were posted online for free afterwards...I certainly hope this upcoming one is as well. If not, it will be a sad day for the memory of Project Camelot.

Peace

I fully believe, if they can cover their costs, this will be released for everyone, dont think it is really worth energy worrying about this - lets instead send out positive thoughts that the conference will be a huge success generating enough green energy to allow everyone the access.....positive thoughts folks, I have no doubt everyone that wants this information, will absolutely get it...

Yes Spellbound, I totally agree with you.

Carmody, I actually find it pretty sad that we would have to torrent the Elenin conference if we wanted to see it.

I understand that live streaming is costly, and a fee is need to cover that cost, but what about after the conference? Shouldn't be on youtube by now for all to see?

Is it somewhere for free without illegal downloads? If so please tell me, Id love to watch it. I just wish the A&A conference will be more accessible.

Anyhow, thanks seeingterra for the info and Kerry for the great work.

Hi, just got back from a weekend in the mountains :)

We will do absolutely all we can to make this (and everything we release) as accessible as possible! Interviews will certainly be released free to watch as always, we have absolutely NO intention of ever changing the core of Camelot. Truth is donations usually never even cover our monthly expenses on the server side, even less living costs!

Every time we have to talk about money it is just a moment of "*sigh...*" and "here we go again". Every time we have to price something it hurts us, we really do not like having to deal with money like this.

We are just working out a viable way of running Camelot with all affiliated sites and to do interviews at the same time, and if I might add we actually DO manage to do both! ;)

We have several interviews pending, George Kavassilas is one of those waiting to be finished in editing. I even had the pleasure to film that interview myself with Kerry as interviewer naturally, I highly recommend that one when it comes out in the near future.

More information about the Awake and Aware streaming will be released closer around September, stay tuned :)

All the best,

Tommy

seeingterra Hi

May I ask are you using priority software or going through the GNU/FSF etc community?

Tommy

We run 90% on open source except livestream and etc. We do not pay any software licenses except a component or two if we really need them.

All hail open source freedom!
