I have just spotted this object on Nasa stereo about 5mins ago and i think is worth posting. Space debris, UFO whatever this is its massive.

On the right hand side of this picture there is a massive object. If anyone can make it bigger then thanks

http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/assets/img/browse/2011/07/07/ - there are 4069x 4096 resolution images - can you find them "objects" there also?

http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/assets/img/browse/2011/07/07/20110707_014013_4096_211193171.jpg - there is a little red X in the lower right corner, though :)

right-click - view image - then can see full resolution ;)

it's just, that i'm wondering, why them objects are only visible in very bad quality mpg-compressed files

I find looking at these objects through EUV1 195 AHEAD OR BEHIND is much better

I still think these are the best pictures (my opinion)

i mean - don't get me wrong, - it's not that i don't like the idea of emv vehicles, etc. - and i do not intend to discredit anything here, - but as long as there is so much image-compression within them, it just prooves nothing - and if there are really huge objects moving there - they should also be visible in higher quality imagery.

i just know quite something about digital formats, compressions, etc. - and if you have images with many little dots (like orig. NASA-images do have) - and you are making a movie out of it, in lower resolution - you will end up having many more points than pixels - so the compression software interpolates - in one frame differently than in an other - the result is flickering, when playing the animation. ( moire - effects have similar reasons )

if you then compress this frame-by frame - animation into some sort of quicktime-format, you might end up with some weird artifacts

Correct and i can’t guarantee these objects are real.Infact who's to even say that the object we are looking at is the sun.

Interesting though don’t you think

ok - i found some things even in high-res pics - i think those might be a bit better :)

http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/assets/img/browse/2011/07/06/20110706_062839_4096_0094.jpg

for example - there are some...

this is 4096x4096 pxl-resolution - can still zoom into it

I will try make a movie, but I need to mass-rename the downloaded data to be recognised as image-sequence. if someone could recommend a nice tool for that, I'd appreciate.

you're welcome - actually i'm downloading more different data - also lasco,.. maybe it's interesting, having different data side by side as movie.
(in full HD of course, though :D)

for now ^^

it's quite a task putting a lot of high-res-data together. although i like it - but hard to find the energy for me doing so atm. - so i post some source-links i downloaded data from (for 5., 6., and 7. July)

would have loved if the different bands fitted together - time wise :(

but definitely there are shooting stars around us - all the time - so we can wish 24/7

Why is it leaving a trail? or is that part of the body?

nomadguy

Not sure I have seen these before, and much closer to the sun, its either a tale/trail or it is moving so fast it is gradient in the photos as movement is caught in the photo. I think it is a tale.

Hm.... it seems there is a problem with the Stereo telescopes.

As far as I can tell, those are the only ones that are able to spot "UFOs" that are not visible in SDO hi resolution images for example.

Somebody needs to get up there and wipe clean the lenses :) (and eventually replace the sensor)

All the major "UFO" pictures around the sun are images from Stereo.
