Hi manny
before you came into tis world you made a spiritual intention, your higher Self knows that intention and tries to keep you on track.
You could relate it to your conscience, you know when what you are doing is not life supporting for yo or others but yo have free will.
Hawkins calibrates all kinds of thingsto show the degree to which item are life supporting.
The advice is avoid everything under 200 but obviously the more time you spend in high calibration situations the more you benefit from the associated Morpic field
The past is not pushing you forward your destiny is pulling you.
See the M field video here (Rupert_Sheldrake_-_The_Morphogenetic_Universe.)

we can look at the bible.
we can look at the Koran.
hinduisum .
jews
every religion under this sky.
it,s only when you start to break free ,that the chains will dissolve.
you need not follow no one but yourself.
guidance in life is a great help.
but it,s your journey.
it,s your free will.
now i calibrated at 583.
did it make a difference to my life?
no.
if i scored a 800 or a 180 would it make a difference.
their are always someone somewhere better than you ,so they think.
they maybe a little higher evolved spirituality than you.
but we are all on the same ladder.
when you get where you are meant to,is entirely up to you.

May as well ask, what is your rating of "Adventures in Consciousness" vs. the "Ra Material"?
Cheers,
Fred
I got 499 for "Adventures in Consciousness". I probably calibrated another book from Jane Roberts (it was around 200 from my memory).
Ra material i get 990. But I can see my mind not being objective here probably. Take this with a grain of salt.

why are we seeking to find our higher self ,when the higher self is guiding us?
we are always searching and seeking.
and always someone else has the answers.
but if the higher self is guiding us ,then is it not that we should look for the answers within ourselfs.
for it is the higher self teaching .guiding us to what we are today.
do we have free will?
if the higher self is trying to guide you?
nature or nurture?

From the calibrator Eternal One: This forum being a 'lightworker' place, It would probably calibrate around 600. But I need to check. I dont find this info to be harmful.
I got 515, which is pretty "good" for a forum.
From Carmody: Yeah, I've been higher before, but I tend to bounce around quite a bit. I've been in that state where every moment an obvious dance of perfect poetry, where each breath and motion of the world is perfect and sublime. Everything simply is.
As fun as that is, I came back down to the ground as communication to and with others is, well, it's relevance is OK, but it could be better, possibly. So I re-assume the cloak of normalcy and hat of addictions and drives. And simply do it again, inch by inch.
You already trot the path once at least, I bet the second time around would not be inch by inch but rather foot by foot.
I am probably trotting the path for the first time and it is inch by inch, even millimeter by millimeter. I would gladly follow you on your path to learn from it Carmody (which I am partly doing trough this forum).
Thanks for coming back, thanks for being here with us,

the way i see it ,is that tptb have miscontrude all religions .
so many people are at a loss as to what to actually believe., in the terms of higher self, religion, god ect.
but in the end they have done us a favour.
we do not accept what we are told, and taught.
who do you actually beleive.
so many people wanting to tell you their truths.
all i can say is have faith to all possibilities .but only with what resonates with you in the now.
peace
All the religions have been saying the same thing. It is just because the teaching got distorted.
A number of disciples went to the Buddha and said, "Sir, there are living here in Savatthi many wandering hermits and scholars who indulge in constant dispute, some saying that the world is infinite and eternal and others that it is finite and not eternal, some saying that the soul dies with the body and others that it lives on forever, and so forth. What, Sir, would you say concerning them?"
The Buddha answered, "Once upon a time there was a certain raja who called to his servant and said, 'Come, good fellow, go and gather together in one place all the men of Savatthi who were born blind... and show them an elephant.' 'Very good, sire,' replied the servant, and he did as he was told. He said to the blind men assembled there, 'Here is an elephant,' and to one man he presented the head of the elephant, to another its ears, to another a tusk, to another the trunk, the foot, back, tail, and tuft of the tail, saying to each one that that was the elephant.
"When the blind men had felt the elephant, the raja went to each of them and said to each, 'Well, blind man, have you seen the elephant? Tell me, what sort of thing is an elephant?'
"Thereupon the men who were presented with the head answered, 'Sire, an elephant is like a pot.' And the men who had observed the ear replied, 'An elephant is like a winnowing basket.' Those who had been presented with a tusk said it was a ploughshare. Those who knew only the trunk said it was a plough; others said the body was a grainery; the foot, a pillar; the back, a mortar; the tail, a pestle, the tuft of the tail, a brush.
"Then they began to quarrel, shouting, 'Yes it is!' 'No, it is not!' 'An elephant is not that!' 'Yes, it's like that!' and so on, till they came to blows over the matter.
"Brethren, the raja was delighted with the scene.
"Just so are these preachers and scholars holding various views blind and unseeing.... In their ignorance they are by nature quarrelsome, wrangling, and disputatious, each maintaining reality is thus and thus."
Then the Exalted One rendered this meaning by uttering this verse of uplift,
O how they cling and wrangle, some who claim
For preacher and monk the honored name!
For, quarreling, each to his view they cling.
Such folk see only one side of a thing.

And that is why all knowledge is pretty much useless if you dont experience IT.
You need to experience the truth, and not just read about it. Readings and words are only here to inspire you, but at the end of the day, you need to experience it. The truth is beyond word. Just speaking about it is not something that can make justice to it.
Strive to experience it, not to read about it.
“What is it you seek?” asked the Master of a scholar who came to him for guidance.
“Life.” was the reply.
Said the Master, “If you are to live, words must die.” When asked later what he meant, he said.
“You are lost and forlorn because you dwell in a world of words. You feed on words you are satisfied with words when what you need is substance. A menu will not satisfy your hunger. A formula will not slake your thirst.“

1.i am experiencing my life in the now.
2. i have learned i and am learning from my my experiences that happen now or have happened in the past.
3.all that i have learned,i have experienced.in the past and in the now.
if i knew that my higher self was watching and guiding, then would that not mean i could do whatever i wanted ,because the higher self would (could) change any outcome?
again i come back to the question!
if the higher self has experienced everything, and is a enlightened, awake, spiritual being.
then why take a step backwards on its journey?
if this is so then are we not just puppets on a string, being played in a game to entertain the higherselfs in their realms.
so do i read the words of RA that has been channeled.
or do i experience my own life and experiences..

Now for all the haters, Yes I am talking about you DNA and Tarka the Duck.
If this thread is not helpful for you, why are you trying to ruin it for everybody else? Let some space for others to grow, please.
Anyone who thinks he knows what is good or what is bad for another is dangerous. And thats exactly what you are doing. All of this thread is recommendation. No one is forced to be calibrated, the same way you are not forced to go see a fortune teller.
I'd be careful with the "hater" thing. Out of line? Maybe...Not being elequent? Maybe...Hater? Not so much.
There are plenty of people here in the States who label me a hater, and a racist, just for not liking our president.
Cheers,

maybe it should be.
for all the free thinkers!who question!
are we not quick to judge those that do not conform.
and easily to dismiss.
instead of waiting,talking,communicating.
even laughing in joy as these people who do not have any idea and may mock or question your views,
when at the end of the day(all will be saved)
so therefore in hindsight i would give love and compassion to all those who have not yet realised where they are at now,and that of their higher selfs.

I can only speak for myself manny but what happened with me was I had the spiritual experiences first and then the books, the visit to ashrams etc confirmed that I was not going mad and that there were others who had similar experiences.
When I meditate sometimes I can literally feel movement in my spiritual heart and the Kundalini energy rising.
So the Sages and these kind of threads helped me greatly.
I just a case of sharing what works personally.
I can take what I want and leave what I dont want.
Im just grateful that other have trod their path because each enlightened soul makes it easier for the next and faster too.
thats where the M fields are doing what they do as in the video I posted.
I look at the ages of posters and it amazes me that people so young are so interested in spirituality and the level of their knowing.
They are far in advance of where I was after years of study-- back then, when I started all the genuine spiritual books were of Indian Gurus/ Sages.
No western accounts to be found.
Eckhart Tolle was a huge step forward in Western Spiritual teaching, yet he is saying exactly the same as Ramana.
Enlightenment is Enlightenment.
Out of respect Eckhart visited the late Ramana's Ashram.
You are not a puppet manny.
You really are a spiritual being having a human experience.

I have to speak to manny here. Hey brother, I just want to tell you that I admire your questioning and tenacity!! You know what? You remind me an awful lot of my own jack-ass self. Keep asking questions, keep challenging the status quo, keep ruffling feathers. Just try and do it tastefully. If you can manage that, expect answers to start kicking your ass at any point. It's the best ass whipping you'll ever get. The answers will come.
Please accept the friendship request I'm sending you now.

Kinesiology is just the measure of energy and its degree of integrity within the energy field of the individual. If one has the Siddhis abilities, is sensitive to energy signatures, and is able to teleport, remote view, and manifest with just a thought, he doesn’t need a scale to tell him where his energy is.
I did Psych K almost ten years ago, both the remedial and the advanced and practiced Kinesiology for years. I will say, that “bias” or “subjectivity” does affect the results and it is better to have an uninterested or unbiased individual do questions that do not relate to them. The energetic matrix is universal and does not have boundaries.
The other strong point to make here is that you should always ask your questions in the first person, such as I AM______, not what or how you want things to be. The subconscious only knows the present.
I would be interested in Eternal One doing a calibration for me, as it has been years!

How can you equate the teachings of enlightened beings to holding your finger and pulling?
I don't say that some of the copy and pastes you have done from eastern phillosophy websites are harmfull.
The same thing goes with the numerology website. Why not just give folks the Dan Millman website you are quoting from rather than being all fortune teller like.
Parroting back ancient proverbs and numerology hardly gives your finger pulling exercises validity from the people who originally told those stories and wrote this information.
Jesus isn't necessarily on board with my criticiquing of your actions if I now go and copy and paste the story of the prodigal son.

Hi Eternal One,
Just wanted to say what an informative thread this is and wanted to thank you, Greybeard, Jayke, and Modwiz for posting some very thought provoking material!
Charlie
For all that want to understand a little better about the higher self, here are two possible route:
- Law of one - Ra material (http://www.llresearch.org/library/the_law_of_one_pdf/the_law_of_one_pdf.aspx)
- Seth Material - Jane Roberts
Both are channeled material, use discernement and filter what resonate or not with you.
I do recommend the first one. I dont know much about the second one, beside the calibration I get (which is low).
Huh, I'm surprised at your low rating of Jane Robert's Seth material Eternal-One, her book "Adventures in Consciousness" opened avenues in my fragile egg shell mind I had never dreamed possible a few years ago. I still read it once a year or so just to see "what's new". Ha Ha.
May as well ask, what is your rating of "Adventures in Consciousness" vs. the "Ra Material"?
Cheers,
Fred
I absolutely agree with you Fred. Jane Roberts - Seth Material is some of the most enlightening paradigm destroying material out there.
It is so high level and concentrated that I have to stop every couple of sentences to let it sink in.
I just have to say, if forced to rate anything higher than the Jane Roberts material, I don't know that I could.

Look at those two, have they no mercy on the poor animal?" Nasrudin, hearing this, tells his son to get off and continue the journey on foot. Another group of people passing by and seeing this comment: "What times are these? Look at this man. His poor son with his frail body has to walk while he at his best age is riding the donkey!" Hearing this, Nasrudin tells his son to ride the donkey and he himself gets off to walk the rest of the way. A third group of people seeing this remark: "What times are these? This young man is riding the donkey while his sickly old father has to walk!"
Hearing this, Nasrudin tells his son to get off the animal and they both walk with the donkey trailing behind. Another group passing by point to them, laughing: "Look at these idiots. They have a donkey and they are walking all the way to the market!"

Two traveling Zen monks reached a river where they met a young woman. Wary of the current, she asked if they could carry her across. One of the monks hesitated, but the other quickly picked her up onto his shoulders, transported her across the water, and put her down on the other bank. She thanked him and departed.
As the monks continued on their way, the one was brooding and preoccupied. Unable to hold his silence, he spoke out.
"Brother, our spiritual training teaches us to avoid any contact with women, but you picked that one up on your shoulders and carried her!"
"Brother," the second monk replied,"I set her down on the other side, while you are still carrying her."

There once lived a great warrior well versed in Zen. Though quite old, he still was able to defeat any challenger. His reputation extended far and wide throughout the land and many students gathered to study under him. One day an infamous young warrior arrived at the village. He was determined to be the first man to defeat the great master. Along with his strength, he had an uncanny ability to spot and exploit any weakness in an opponent. He would wait for his opponent to make the first move, thus revealing a weakness, and then would strike with merciless force and lightning speed. No one had ever lasted with him in a match beyond the first move. Much against the advice of his concerned students, the old master gladly accepted the young warrior's challenge. As the two squared off for battle, the young warrior began to hurl insults at the old master. He threw dirt and spit in his face. For hours he verbally assaulted him with every curse and insult known to mankind. But the old warrior merely stood there motionless and calm. Finally, the young warrior exhausted himself. Knowing he was defeated, he left feeling shamed.
Somewhat disappointed that he did not fight the insolent youth, the students gathered around the old master and questioned him.
"How could you endure such an indignity? How did you drive him away?"
"If someone comes to give you a gift and you do not receive it," the master replied, "to whom does the gift belong?"
Once a man came unto me and denounced me on account of my observing the Way and practicing great loving-kindness. But I kept silent and did not answer him. The denunciation ceased. Then I asked him. 'If you bring a present to your neighbour and he accepts it not; does the present come back to you?' He replied, 'It will.' I said, 'You denounce me now, but as I accept it not, you must take the wrong deed back on your own person. It is like echo succeeding sound, it is like shadow following object; you never escape the effect of your own evil deeds. Be therefore mindful, and cease from doing evil.

Made me appreciative of what others have to offer,

There are many paths,
And there is enough room for all.
"All the teachers say that spiritual treasure is something one finds alone. So why are we all here together?" asked a disciple of the Sufi master Nasrudin.
"You are all here together because a forest is always stronger than a lone tree," replied Nasrudin.
"The forest maintains the humidity in the air, it resists the hurricane, and it helps to make the soil fertile. But what makes a tree strong is its root, and the root of one plant cannot help another plant to grow. Working together towards the same end and allowing each one to grow in his own way, that is the path for those who wish to commune with God."

In a faraway land, there lived a wise old man. He came everyday and sat on a stone-bench on the outset of the town. He loved watching people go by: merchants that left for faraway lands, peasants that came to sell their products in the Market place; travelers that came from a long way.
He also was looking after his grandchildren who were playing at the feet of the walls.
On that particular day, he saw a traveler approaching with a balluchon and accosted him, had a chat with him for a while and ended up asking him:
- Tell me, old man, you who have lived all your life in this town, what are the people here like?
- Where are you from? asked the elderly man.
- From the town over there, behind the mountains.
- And what were the people like over there?
- They were not very interesting. I found them cold, mean and also withdrawn, said our old man.
And the traveler, continuing his journey, disappeared in the alley-ways of the town.
A little later, another traveler started the same conversation with the same ole man and ended up asking him the same question :
- Tell me what are the people living here like?
- Where are you from? asked the old man.
- I am from the town, over there, behind the mountains.
- And what were the people like over there?
- They were fantastic, retorted the traveler whilst his face lit up. They were generous, friendly and warm.
- Here, said the old man, you will also find the people generous, friendly and warm.
And the traveler disappeared in the streets of the City.
At this moment, one of the kid who was playing nearby came up to his grand-father, pulling his sleeve towards him and said:
- You are telling lies grand-pa. That's not nice. You taught me not to lie and you are telling the opposite to this traveler to what you are saying to the other one.
- Think about it, said the grand-father. I, during those exchanges, did not say anything. They themselves said how things were happening. All I did was mirroring and reflecting their own ways of living and looking at things. If you want, we can go and look for them and ask their first impressions about the people of this town.
However, it is not necessary, because I already know what each one of them is going to say. And you can also guess that.

I love this particular story. Ive heard in more modern terms concerning a real estate agent and his client.
Client asks the agent when he is being shown round a house in a different area from where the client came from. "What are the people like round here?"
"What are they like where you come from?"
"Oh, they're awful, unfriendly, argumentative, dont like them at all'!
"Well, I'm afraid, that you will find, they are exactly the same here!"

The Buddha was sitting under a tree talking to his disciples when a man came and spit on his face.
He wiped it off, and he asked the man, “What next? What do you want to say next?”
The man was a little puzzled because he himself never expected that when you spit on somebody’s face, he will ask, “What next?”
He had no such experience in his past. He had insulted people and they had become angry and they had reacted.
Or if they were cowards and weaklings, they had smiled, trying to bribe the man.
But Buddha was like neither, he was not angry nor in any way offended, nor in any way cowardly.
But just matter-of-factly he said, “What next?” There was no reaction on his part.
Buddha’s disciples became angry, they reacted.
His closest disciple, Ananda, said, “This is too much, and we cannot tolerate it. He has to be punished for it. Otherwise everybody will start doing things like this.”
Buddha said, “You keep silent. He has not offended me, but you are offending me.
He is new, a stranger. He must have heard from people something about me, that this man is an atheist, a dangerous man who is throwing people off their track, a revolutionary, a corrupter.
And he may have formed some idea, a notion of me. He has not spit on me, he has spit on his notion. He has spit on his idea of me because he does not know me at all, so how can he spit on me?
“If you think on it deeply,” Buddha said, “he has spit on his own mind. I am not part of it, and I can see that this poor man must have something else to say because this is a way of saying something.
Spitting is a way of saying something. There are moments when you feel that language is impotent: in deep love, in intense anger, in hate, in prayer.
There are intense moments when language is impotent. Then you have to do something.
When you are angry, intensely angry, you hit the person, you spit on him, you are saying something. I can understand him. He must have something more to say, that’s why I’m asking, “What next?”
The man was even more puzzled! And Buddha said to his disciples, “I am more offended by you because you know me, and you have lived for years with me, and still you react.”
Puzzled, confused, the man returned home. He could not sleep the whole night.
When you see a Buddha, it is difficult, impossible to sleep again the way you used to sleep before.
Again and again he was haunted by the experience. He could not explain it to himself, what had happened. He was trembling all over and perspiring.
He had never come across such a man; he shattered his whole mind and his whole pattern, his whole past.
The next morning he was back there. He threw himself at Buddha’s feet. Buddha asked him again, “What next? This, too, is a way of saying something that cannot be said in language.
When you come and touch my feet, you are saying something that cannot be said ordinarily, for which all words are a little narrow; it cannot be contained in them.”
Buddha said, “Look, Ananda, this man is again here, he is saying something. This man is a man of deep emotions.”
The man looked at Buddha and said, “Forgive me for what I did yesterday.”
Buddha said, “Forgive? But I am not the same man to whom you did it. The Ganges goes on flowing, it is never the same Ganges again.
Every man is a river. The man you spit upon is no longer here.
I look just like him, but I am not the same, much has happened in these twenty-four hours! The river has flowed so much.
So I cannot forgive you because I have no grudge against you.”
“And you also are new. I can see you are not the same man who came yesterday because that man was angry and he spit, whereas you are bowing at my feet, touching my feet.
How can you be the same man? You are not the same man, so let us forget about it.
Those two people, the man who spit and the man on whom he spit, both are no more. Come closer. Let us talk of something else.”

During a momentous battle, a Japanese general decided to attack even though his army was greatly outnumbered. He was confident they would win, but his men were filled with doubt. On the way to the battle, they stopped at a religious shrine. After praying with the men, the general took out a coin and said, "I shall now toss this coin. If it is heads, we shall win. If tails, we shall lose. Destiny will now reveal itself."
He threw the coin into the air and all watched intently as it landed. It was heads. The soldiers were so overjoyed and filled with confidence that they vigorously attacked the enemy and were victorious. After the battle, a lieutenant remarked to the general, "No one can change destiny."
"Quite right," the general replied as he showed the lieutenant the coin, which had heads on both sides.

There was once in China an expert archer. One day he went to a very high mountain with his bow on his back. While strolling on the mountain, he became thirsty and wanted some water to drink. Fortunately, he found a small spring under a bush, and he immediately bent over the water to drink it out of his hands until his thirst was quenched. However, when he finished drinking, he thought he saw a snake crawling in the water. He immediately felt sick and wanted to vomit the water he had drunk, but the water did not come out. He became seriously nervous about the water in his stomach, feeling something wriggling in it. When he got back home he became seriously ill. Numerous doctors gave him medical treatment, but in vain; finally, he became nothing but skin and bones, resigning himself to die.
One day a traveler stopped at his home. Seeing the condition of the patient, he asked the reason. The patient told him that he saw a snake crawling in the water of the spring and that he had swallowed the snake. The traveler said that he could cure the illness if the patient would do as he told him to do, taking him to the same spring where he had drunk the water.
He told the patient, who was bearing the same bow on his back, to take the same pose as he had before. The patient reluctantly bent over the water and was just going to scoop it up in his hands when he screamed out, that a snake was crawling in the water again. The man told him to be quiet and to observe the snake more closely. The archer got control of himself and found that it was not a snake at all, but the shadow of the bow he was carrying on his back.
The archer realized that the snake he thought he had swallowed before was only the shadow of his bow. After this, he felt quite relieved, and soon he regained his health.

That's why he was no longer a simple soldier.
Confidence is everything, and the elite's job is failing now,
as they can no longer trick everybody.
If this continues soon there will be neither soldiers nor generals.

Hi Eternal One,
I have the same picture you have as your icon on my cell phone. It was a card I bought many years ago and I took a picture of it. I think it is a beautiful way to describe our climb to Higher Consciousness. I also have several of Dr. Hawkins books and I believe Jake is right in that a person had to be above a certain calibration point in order to do this work.
I just wanted to thank you for the amount or work and information you have given us on this thread. It is very useful and helpful as one grows in awareness. I know it took a lot of time. Blessings to you for your labor of Love.

Hello Eternal One. Like a few others here, I was caught off guard by the number you got for the Seth Material. Seth Speaks and The Nature of Personal Reality changed my life and the trajectory of it. Seth Speaks was read when I was 18 and the other at 23. At 58 now it has become apparent to me that what was some of the best material around at that time, (early 1970's) is a little behind the current times now. I was a believer in the capitol punishment for 20 more, or so, years. In fact it was becoming a vegetarian that allowed my mind to clear and vibration to rise above the anger and blame of that mindset. ( That was what I needed, others have their own paths).
I still have a lot more reading of the RA material before 1. I am done taking it in and 2. Digesting/assimilating it. The names, in an Egyptian context, are also a meditation in itself.
In conclusion, I will always hold the Seth material somewhat dear because of the alternate world I was able to live in from the information there. For the times we live in and approach, I feel the Ra material is the proper reading to help one access a paradigm that seems to be better aligned with the vibration of today and the ever increasing ones of tomorrow.
I concur with your calibrations for the two.

I have heard a lot of good things from the Seth material. A book calibrating under 200 doesnt imply that the book is bad, but probably that some concepts are maybe too much centered toward 'personnal gain'. As I have not read the material, i cannot comment on the subject. But often, channeled books are distorted by the channeler, so it often reflect their own loc. I know there are two kind of entity doing their work too, and sometimes it is hard to distinguish if a 'negative' entities is talking or a 'positive' one, or if it is the same one than before. Channeler are often a target, and the Ra material was no exception.
The same way that there are some books that calibrate very high, but bend the truth. Truth level is equally as much important in a book than the actual calibration for truth seeker.
I have heard there are some little difference betwen Seth and Ra, but again you should not discriminate any 'path'. I have found a lot of answer from regular book too. Filter all infos from whatever source, be open minded.
Now for the Ra material, I have found that you do not need to filter much, and so far nothing came even close to it in truth and calibration wise level.
But I am going to check the Seth material right away. haha.

Your guess is very good. The Seth material was about self empowerment. It was about understanding yourself as the center of your universe. At that time it was what we all needed to break the thrall of religion and free ourselves of guilt. It was the absolute source for 'create your own reality'.
I believe it helped open the collective neural pathways for the opening up of the paradigm shift we all take for granted today and the reason the Ra material is comprehensible at all. We will all benefit from that once we make the Ra teachings a greater part of our tool chest for raising our vibration and awareness to create a better world for the spirits we are becoming with each passing day.

"But this is not an inn," said the King, "It is my palace."
"May I ask who owned this palace before you?"
"My father. He is dead."
"And who owned it before him?"
"My grandfather. He too is dead."
"And this place where people live for a short time and then move on – did I hear you say that it is NOT an inn?"

.
If you look at the map of consciousness, you will notice that 200 is the 'Empowerment process'. Which is basically the calibration i get for the seth material. Now is this a very important thing, but more often than not, you learn to use your mind for 'material' or personal gains or for developping 'superpower'. The point being, this is useful to know that your thoughts create your reality, but dont use it for selfish reasons.
I personally have stopped to use it for personal gain, but rather to stop self-sabotaging myself. Each stones on your path are opportunities for your growth, but dont put additional one to make thing more complicated than it need to be.

The 92-year-old, petite, well-poised and proud lady, who is fully dressed each morning by eight o'clock, with her hair fashionably coifed and makeup perfectly applied, even though she is legally blind, moved to a nursing home today.
Her husband of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary.
After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home, she smiled sweetly when told her room was ready. As she maneuvered her walker to the elevator, I provided a visual description of her tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been hung on her window.
"I love it," she stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having just been presented with a new puppy.
"Mrs. Jones, you haven't seen the room .... just wait."
"That doesn't have anything to do with it," she replied.
"Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged ... it's how I arrange my mind.
I already decided to love it ... It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the ones that do. Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I'll focus on the new day and all the happy memories I've stored away ... just for this time in my life."

The children replied, "We want it to be fair. Divide the marbles as Allah would."
So, the Mulla counted out the marbles and gave three to one child and nine to the other.

Once a renowned philosopher and moralist was traveling through Nasruddin's village and asked Nasruddin where there was a good place to eat. Nasruddin suggested a place and the scholar, hungry for conversation, invited Mullah Nasruddin to join him. Much obliged, Mullah Nasruddin accompanied the scholar to a nearby restaurant, where they asked the waiter about the special of the day.
"Fish! Fresh Fish!" replied the waiter.
"Bring us two," they requested.
A few minutes later, the waiter brought out a large platter with two cooked fish on it, one of which was quite a bit smaller than the other. Without hesitating, Mullah Nasruddin took the larger of the fish and put in on his plate. The scholar, giving Mullah Nasruddin a look of intense disbelief, proceed to tell him that what he did was not only flagrantly selfish, but that it violated the principles of almost every known moral, religious, and ethical system. Mullah Nasruddin listened to the philosopher's extempore lecture patiently, and when he had finally exhausted his resources, Mullah Nasruddin said,
"Well, Sir, what would you have done?"
"I, being a conscientious human, would have taken the smaller fish for myself." said the scholar.
"And here you are," Mullah Nasrudin said, and placed the smaller fish on the gentleman's plate.

'We would very much like it if you could teach us what you have learned over the years,' said one of them.
'I'm old,' said the man.
'Old and wise,' said another of his friends. 'All these years, we have watched you praying. What do you talk to God about? What are the important things we should be praying for?'
The man smiled.
'In the beginning, I had the fervor of youth, which believes in the impossible. In those days, I used to kneel before God and ask him to give me the strength to change humankind. Gradually, I came to see that the task was beyond me. Then I started praying to God to help me change the world around me.'
'Well, we can certainly vouch for the fact that part of your wish was granted,' said one of his friends. ‘For you have helped many people by your example.'
'Yes, I have helped many people by my example, and yet I knew that I had not yet found the perfect prayer. Only now, at the end of my life, have I come to understand what I should have been praying for from the start.'
'And what is that?'
'To be given the ability to change myself.'

Many years ago, in a poor Chinese village, there lived a farmer and his son. His only material possession, apart from the land and a small hut, was a horse he had inherited from his father.
One day, the horse ran away, leaving the man with no animal with which to work the land. His neighbours, who respected him for his honesty and diligence, went to his house to say how much they regretted his loss. He thanked them for their visit, but asked:
'How do you know that what happened was a misfortune in my life?'
Someone muttered to a friend: 'He obviously doesn't want to face facts, but let him think what he likes, after all, it's better than being sad about it.'
And the neighbours went away again, pretending to agree with what he had said.
A week later, the horse returned to its stable, but it was not alone; it brought with it a beautiful mare for company. The inhabitants of the village were thrilled when they heard the news, for only then did they understand the reply the man had given them, and they went back to the farmer's house to congratulate him on his good fortune.
'Instead of one horse, you've got two. Congratulations!' they said.
'Many thanks for your visit and for your solidarity,' replied the farmer.
'But how do you know that what happened was a blessing in my life?'
The neighbours were rather put out and decided that the man must be going mad, and, as they left, they said: 'Doesn't the man realise that the horse is a gift from God?'
A month later, the farmer's son decided to break the mare in.
However, the animal bucked wildly and threw the boy off; the boy fell awkwardly and broke his leg.
The neighbours returned to the farmer's house, bringing presents for the injured boy. The mayor of the village solemnly presented his condolences to the father, saying how sad they all were about what had occurred.
The man thanked them for their visit and for their kindness, but he asked:
'How do you know that what happened was a misfortune in my life?'
These words left everyone dumbstruck, because they were all quite sure that the son's accident was a real tragedy. As they left the farmer's house, they said to each other: 'Now he really has gone mad; his only son could be left permanently crippled, and he's not sure whether the accident was a misfortune or not!'
A few months went by, and Japan declared war on China. The emperor's emissaries scoured the country for healthy young men to be sent to the front. When they reached the village, they recruited all the young men, except the farmer's son, whose leg had not yet mended. None of the young men came back alive. The son recovered, and the two horses produced foals that were all sold for a good price. The farmer went to visit his neighbours to console and to help them, since they had always shown him such solidarity. Whenever any of them complained, the farmer would say: 'How do you know that what happened was a misfortune?' If someone was overjoyed about something, he would ask:
'How do you know that what happened was a blessing?'
And the people of the village came to understand that life has other meanings that go beyond mere appearance.

Hi Eternal_One, can you do a reading for me too please?
I was given the numbers 36/9
With Love,
Firinn.
Hello Firinn,
I got 573.
36/9
9: Integrity and Wisdom
6: Vision and Acceptance
3: Expression and Sensitivity
Those on the 36/9 life path are here to work through issues of emotional
honesty, perfectionist ideals, and self-doubt as they learn to live in accord with
the wisdom of their heart, thereby serving as an example of integrity in their
daily life. Since what we're here to do doesn't come easily, 36/9s face
significant hurdles on their life path and may take years to learn to honor
and value their own feelings over perfectionistic ideals or others' opinions.
A major challenge is finding out what they really feel in contrast to
what they think they "should" feel.
Guidelines and Recommendations
• Recognize that you have a refined quality; live it.
• Find the beauty that flows from service to others.
• Face self-doubt like a warrior; accept its challenge,
• Accept what you feel, and who you are now, as perfect.
Useful Questions
1. Reflect on the following questions:
• Do I allow self-doubt or perfectionism to discourage me?
• What is perfect about my situation right now?
• Do I have trouble knowing what I really want or feel?
• Do I base my decisions on higher principles and integrity?
Much love & blessings.

The Egg
By: Andy Weir
You were on your way home when you died.
It was a car accident. Nothing particularly remarkable, but fatal nonetheless. You left behind a wife and two children. It was a painless death. The EMTs tried their best to save you, but to no avail. Your body was so utterly shattered you were better off, trust me.
And that's when you met me.
"What… what happened?" You asked. "Where am I?"
"You died," I said, matter-of-factly. No point in mincing words.
"There was a… a truck and it was skidding…"
"Yup," I said.
"I… I died?"
"Yup. But don't feel bad about it. Everyone dies," I said.
You looked around. There was nothingness. Just you and me. "What is this place?" You asked. "Is this the afterlife?"
"More or less," I said.
"Are you god?" You asked.
"Yup," I replied. "I'm God."
"My kids… my wife," you said.
"What about them?"
"Will they be all right?"
"That's what I like to see," I said. "You just died and your main concern is for your family. That's good stuff right there."
You looked at me with fascination. To you, I didn't look like God. I just looked like some man. Or possibly a woman. Some vague authority figure, maybe. More of a grammar school teacher than the almighty.
"Don't worry," I said. "They'll be fine. Your kids will remember you as perfect in every way. They didn't have time to grow contempt for you. Your wife will cry on the outside, but will be secretly relieved. To be fair, your marriage was falling apart. If it's any consolation, she'll feel very guilty for feeling relieved."
"Oh," you said. "So what happens now? Do I go to heaven or hell or something?"
"Neither," I said. "You'll be reincarnated."
"Ah," you said. "So the Hindus were right,"
"All religions are right in their own way," I said. "Walk with me."
You followed along as we strode through the void. "Where are we going?"
"Nowhere in particular," I said. "It's just nice to walk while we talk."
"So what's the point, then?" You asked. "When I get reborn, I'll just be a blank slate, right? A baby. So all my experiences and everything I did in this life won't matter."
"Not so!" I said. "You have within you all the knowledge and experiences of all your past lives. You just don't remember them right now."
I stopped walking and took you by the shoulders. "Your soul is more magnificent, beautiful, and gigantic than you can possibly imagine. A human mind can only contain a tiny fraction of what you are. It's like sticking your finger in a glass of water to see if it's hot or cold. You put a tiny part of yourself into the vessel, and when you bring it back out, you've gained all the experiences it had.
"You've been in a human for the last 48 years, so you haven't stretched out yet and felt the rest of your immense consciousness. If we hung out here for long enough, you'd start remembering everything. But there's no point to doing that between each life."
"How many times have I been reincarnated, then?"
"Oh lots. Lots and lots. An in to lots of different lives." I said. "This time around, you'll be a Chinese peasant girl in 540 AD."
"Wait, what?" You stammered. "You're sending me back in time?"
"Well, I guess technically. Time, as you know it, only exists in your universe. Things are different where I come from."
"Where you come from?" You said.
"Oh sure," I explained "I come from somewhere. Somewhere else. And there are others like me. I know you'll want to know what it's like there, but honestly you wouldn't understand."
"Oh," you said, a little let down. "But wait. If I get reincarnated to other places in time, I could have interacted with myself at some point."
"Sure. Happens all the time. And with both lives only aware of their own lifespan you don't even know it's happening."
"So what's the point of it all?"
"Seriously?" I asked. "Seriously? You're asking me for the meaning of life? Isn't that a little stereotypical?"
"Well it's a reasonable question," you persisted.
I looked you in the eye. "The meaning of life, the reason I made this whole universe, is for you to mature."
"You mean mankind? You want us to mature?"
"No, just you. I made this whole universe for you. With each new life you grow and mature and become a larger and greater intellect."
"Just me? What about everyone else?"
"There is no one else," I said. "In this universe, there's just you and me."
You stared blankly at me. "But all the people on earth…"
"All you. Different incarnations of you."
"Wait. I'm everyone!?"
"Now you're getting it," I said, with a congratulatory slap on the back.
"I'm every human being who ever lived?"
"Or who will ever live, yes."
"I'm Abraham Lincoln?"
"And you're John Wilkes Booth, too," I added.
"I'm Hitler?" You said, appalled.
"And you're the millions he killed."
"I'm Jesus?"
"And you're everyone who followed him."
You fell silent.
"Every time you victimized someone," I said, "you were victimizing yourself. Every act of kindness you've done, you've done to yourself. Every happy and sad moment ever experienced by any human was, or will be, experienced by you."
You thought for a long time.
"Why?" You asked me. "Why do all this?"
"Because someday, you will become like me. Because that's what you are. You're one of my kind. You're my child."
"Whoa," you said, incredulous. "You mean I'm a god?"
"No. Not yet. You're a fetus. You're still growing. Once you've lived every human life throughout all time, you will have grown enough to be born."
"So the whole universe," you said, "it's just…"
"An egg." I answered. "Now it's time for you to move on to your next life."
And I sent you on your way.

A believer approached Rabbi Moche of Kobryn and asked: 'How should I best use my days so that God will be contented with my actions?'
'There is only one possible option: to live with love,' replied the Rabbi.
Minutes later, another follower approached him and asked the same question.
'There is only one possible option: try to live with joy.'
The first follower was taken aback. 'But the advice you gave me was different!'
'Not at all,' said the rabbi. 'It was exactly the same.'

An emperor said to the Rabbi Yeoschoua ben Hanania:
"I would very much like to see your God."
"That is impossible" said the Rabbi.
"Impossible? Then how can I entrust my life to someone whom I cannot see?"
"Show me the pocket in which you have placed the love of your wife, and let me weigh it in order to see how large her love is."
"Don't be silly; no one can keep someone's love in their pocket."
"The sun is only one of the works which the Lord placed in the universe and yet you cannot look at it directly.
You cannot see love either, but you know you are capable of falling in love with a woman and entrusting your life to her.
Is it not clear then that there are certain things in which we trust even though we cannot see them?"

An emperor was coming out of his palace for his morning walk when he met a beggar. He asked the beggar,
"What do you want?"
The beggar laughed and said,
"You are asking me as though you can fulfill my desire!"
The king was offended. He said,
"Of course I can fulfill your desire. What is it? Just tell me."
And the beggar said, "Think twice before you promise anything."
The beggar was no ordinary beggar, he was the emperor past life master. He had promised in that life,
"I will come and try to wake you in your next life. This life you have missed but I will come again."
But the king had forgotten completely -- who remembers past lives? So he insisted,
"I will fulfill anything you ask. I am a very powerful emperor, what can you possibly desire that I cannot give to you?"
The beggar said, "It is a very simple desire. You see this begging bowl?
Can you fill it with something?"
The emperor said, "Of course!".
He called one of his viziers and told him, "Fill this man’s begging bowl with money." The vizier went and got some money and poured it into the bowl, and it disappeared. And he poured more and more, and the moment he would pour it, it would disappear. And the begging bowl remained always empty.
The whole palace gathered. By and by the rumor went throughout the whole capital, and a huge crowd gathered. The prestige of the emperor was at stake. He said to his viziers,
"If the whole kingdom is lost, I am ready to lose it, but I cannot be defeated by this beggar."
Diamonds and pearls and emeralds, his treasuries were becoming empty. The begging bowl seemed to be bottomless. Everything that was put into it -- everything! -- Immediately disappeared, went out of existence. Finally it was the evening, and the people were standing there in utter silence. The king dropped at the feet of the beggar and admitted his defeat. He said,
"Just tell me one thing. You are victorious - but before you leave, just fulfill my curiosity. What is the begging bowl made of?"
The beggar laughed and said,
"It is made up of the human mind. There is no secret. It is simple made up of human desire."
This understanding transforms life. Go into one desire -- what is the mechanism of it? First there is a great excitement, great thrill, adventure. You feel a great kick. Something is going to happen, you are on the verge of it. And then you have the car, you have the yacht, you have the house, you have the woman, and suddenly all is meaningless again.
What happens? Your mind has dematerialized it. The car is standing in the drive, but there is no excitement anymore. The excitement was only in getting it. You became so drunk with the desire that you forgot your inner nothingness. Now the desire is fulfilled, the car in the drive, the woman in your bed, the money in your bank account - again excitement disappears. Again the emptiness is there, ready to eat you up. Again you have to create another desire to escape this yawning abyss.
That's how one moves from one desire to another desire. That's how one remains a beggar. Your whole life proves it again and again -- every desire frustrates. And when the goal is achieved, you will need another desire.
The day you understand that desire as such is going to fail comes the turning point in your life.
The other journey is inwards. Move inwards, come back home.

The Little Soul & The Sun
by : Neale Donald Walsch
"You may choose to be any Part of God you wish to be," I said to the Little Soul. "You are Absolute Divinity, experiencing Itself. What Aspect of Divinity do you now wish to experience as You?"
"You mean I have a choice?" asked the Little Soul. And I answered,
"Yes, You may choose to experience Any Aspect of Divinity in, as, and through you."
"Okay," said the Little Soul, "then I choose Forgiveness. I want to experience my Self as the Aspect of God called Complete Forgiveness."
Well, this created a little challenge, as you can imagine.
There was no one to forgive. All I have created is Perfection and Love.
"No one to forgive?" asked the Little Soul, somewhat incredulously.
"No one," I repeated. "Look around you. Do you see any souls less perfect, less wonderful than you?"
At this the Little Soul twirled around, and was surprised to see himself surrounded by all the souls in heaven. They had come from far and wide throughout the Kingdom, because they heard that the Little Soul was having an extraordinary conversation from God.
"I see none less perfect than I!" the Little Soul exclaimed. "Who, then, shall I have to forgive?"
Just then, another soul stepped forward from the crowd. "You may forgive me," said this Friendly Soul.
"For what?" the Little Soul asked.
"I will come into your next physical lifetime and do something for you to forgive," replied the Friendly Soul.
"But what? What could you, a being of such Perfect Light, do to make me want to forgive you?" the Little Soul wanted to know.
"Oh," smiled the Friendly Soul, "I'm sure we can think of something."
"But why would you want to do this?" The Little Soul could not figure out why a being of such perfection would want to slow down its vibration so much that it could actually do something "bad".
"Simple," the Friendly Soul explained, "I would do it because I love you. You want to experience your Self as Forgiving, don't you?
Besides, you've done the same for me."
"I have?" asked the Little Soul.
"Of course. Don't you remember? We've been All Of It, you and I.
We've been the Up and Down of it, and the Left and the Right of it.
We've been the Here and the There of it. We've been the Big and the
Small of it, the Male and the Female of it, the Good and the Bad of it.
We've all been the All of It.
"And we've done it by agreement, so that each of us might experience ourselves as the Grandest Part of God. For we have understood that… In the absence of that which You Are Not, that Which You ARE, is NOT.
In the absence of 'cold', you cannot be 'warm'. In the absence of 'sad', you cannot be 'happy', without a thing called 'evil', the experience you call 'good' cannot exist.
If you choose to be a thing, something or someone opposite to that has to show up somewhere in your universe to make that possible."
The Friendly Soul then explained that those people are God's Special Angels, and these conditions God's Gifts.
"I ask only one thing in return," the Friendly Soul declared.
"Anything! Anything," the Little Soul cried. He was excited not to know that he could experience every Divine Aspect of God. He understood, now, the Plan.
"In the moment that I strike you and smite you," said the Friendly Soul, "in the moment that I do the worst to you that you could ever imagine – in that selfsame moment… remember Who I Really Am."
"Oh, I won't forget!" promised the Little Soul. "I will see you in the perfection with which I hold you now, and I will remember Who You Are, always."

There was grandfather, his little grandson often came in the evenings to sit at his knee and ask the many questions that children ask. One day the grandson came to his grandfather with a look of anger on his face. Grandfather said, "Come, sit, tell me what has happened today."
The child sat and leaned his chin on his Grandfather's knee. Looking up into the wrinkled, nut brown face and the kind dark eyes; the child's anger turned to quite tears. The boy said, "I went to the town today with my father, to trade the furs he has collected over the past several months. I was happy to go, because father said that since I had helped him with the trapping, I could get something for me. Something that I wanted.
I was so excited to be in the trading post, I have not been there before. I looked at many things and finally found a metal knife! It was small, but good size for me, so father got it for me."
Here the boy laid his head against his grandfather's knee and became silent. The Grandfather, softly placed his hand on the boys raven hair and said, "and then what happened?". Without lifting his head, the boy said, "I went outside to wait for father, and to admire my new knife in the sunlight. Some town boys came by and saw me, they got all around me and starting saying bad things.
They called me dirty and stupid and said that I should not have such a fine knife. The largest of these boys, pushed me back and I fell over one of the other boys. I dropped my knife and one of them snatched it up and they all ran away, laughing."
Here the boy's anger returned, "I hate them, I hate them all!"
The Grandfather, with eyes that have seen too much, lifted his grandson's face so his eyes looked into the boys. Grandfather said, "Let me tell you a story. I too, at times, have felt a great hate for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do.
"But hate wears you down, and does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times. It is as if there are two wolves inside me, one is white and one is black. The White Wolf is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him and does not take offense when no offense was intended. But will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way.
"But, the Black Wolf, is full of anger. The littlest thing will set him into a fit of temper. He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great. It is helpless anger, for his anger will change nothing.
"Sometimes it is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit."
The boy, looked intently into his Grandfather's eyes, and asked, "Which one wins Grandfather?"
The Grandfather, smiled and said, "The one I feed."

An old, withered hermit was meditating near a quiet, serene river, his mind focused intently on his own inner peace. The hermit was trying to reach enlightenment, but even after 20 years of meditation in solitude and silence, he had achieved nothing.
Then, one day, still in deep meditation, the hermit suddenly had a vision:
He saw a bright young man trying to impress others by conceitedly showing off his magical power, by moving several leaves in a pool of water without making a single movement himself. It was a simple telekinesis exercise, yet not a simple one to grasp. The audience was certainly impressed.
Soon after, an old, white-bearded man arrived, and smote the young man over the head with his staff. The young man, wincing in pain, swung around to face his attacker. They glared at each other, furiously, for a while before the young man’s expression finally faded in anguish. He confessed to the old man, "I think I’ve learnt my lesson here".
The old man replied, "Yes, fool, dont show off your magical powers. Use them for good or they will be taken from you." The scary old man was wearing a ring with a bright red ruby. Suddenly, he felt that the ring was all that mattered, as if nothing else existed. He looked at it closely, and saw the words engraved on it:
"Experientia magistra stultorum".
Then the vision began to blur, and the hermit slowly recovered his senses, and awoke from his meditation.
Such a strange vision, he pondered. The hermit considered the entire situation, and could not understand the foolish behavior of the young man. For the hermit was always modest and humble, understanding the law perfectly, and failed to see any other possibility of the use of magic. Is this vision trying to tell me something? wondered the old man. "Experientia magistra stultorum?" It sounded like Latin. The hermit was a scholar in his youth, but his Latin had become rusty over the age. Finally, the old man decided to return to the town and to find out the meaning of those words, following his intuition that this could turn useful.
The hermit had not visited the town for years, and wasn’t surprised to see that a lot of buildings were replaced with new one. Suddenly thirsty, the hermit found the nearest tavern headed towards it for refreshment. After a short walk, he finally arrived in front of the big tavern, which name was 'The Tavern of the Fools" according to the sign. The following were written underneath in small letters:
"Infinitus est numerus stultorum".
Opening the tavern's old wooden door, the hermit found himself in a folklore-type atmosphere. A few drunken people were arguing on his left, reaching the point of bringing fist to the matter. On the right, quite an audience seemed to have gathered around one man. The old man, intrigued decided to join the crowd to observe the show.
A young and charismatic man was displaying his own telekinesis skill by manipulating and controlling things in front of him. The audience was astonished and overjoyed, and the young man was taking great pride in his accomplishments. The hermit shook his head incredulously, instantly feeling that the young man had to be taught a lesson; he immediately raised his staff, almost like a natural thing, swung it in an arc over his head and brought it down on the young man’s cranium. The scene almost looked unreal, and the people gathered around were puzzled by the old man reaction; as he was a very well known hermit, nobody could even imagine that he would strike anyone. There were a lot of tales around town about his accomplishments.
The young man, in pain, looked toward his aggressor furiously. But then, as his pain diminished, so did his anger, and he looked ashamed. He said to the hermit: "Thank you old man. I am such a fool, I even forgot the first lesson that I were taught during my magical training. I am glad that you struck me, as I would not have realized my mistake otherwise". As the young man clutched his head from the pain, his left hand bore a ring, adorned with a bright red ruby. The hermit instantly recognized the ring and started to stare at it intensely, for carved on it were the following words:
"Experientia magistra stultorum".
The hermit's Latin immediately came back to him, and he was suddenly enlightened.

When the Zen spiritual teacher and his disciples began their evening meditation, the cat who lived in the monastery made such noise that it distracted them. So the teacher ordered that the cat be tied up during the evening practice. Years later, when the teacher died, the cat continued to be tied up during the meditation session. And when the cat eventually died, another cat was brought to the monastery and tied up.
Centuries later, learned descendants of the spiritual teacher wrote scholarly treatises about the religious significance of tying up a cat for meditation practice.

Later, as the rickety boat crashed into a rock in the middle of the river, the boatman turned to the scholar and said, "Pardon my humble mind that to you must seem dim, but, wise man, tell me, have you ever learned to swim?"

A hunter once caught a small bird. "Master," said the bird, "you have eaten many animals bigger than I without assuaging your appetite. How can the flesh of my tiny body satisfy you? If you let me go, I will give you three counsels: one while I am still in your hand, the second when I am on your roof, and the third from the top of a tree. When you have heard all three, you will consider yourself the most fortunate of men. The first counsel is this:"Do not believe the foolish pronouncements of others.""
The bird flew on to the roof, from where it gave the second counsel:"Have no regrets for what is past." Concealed in my body is a precious pearl weighing five ounces. It was yours by right, and now it is gone."
Hearing this the man began to bewail his misfortune."Why are you so upset?’ asked the bird.
"Did I not say, "Have no regrets for what is past"? Are you deaf, or did you not understand what I told you? I also said, "Do not believe the foolish pronouncements of others." I weigh less than two ounces, so how could I possibly conceal a pearl weighing five?"
Coming to his senses, the hunter asked for the third counsel.
"Seeing how much you heeded the first two, why should I waste the third?" replied the bird.

A man once came to see the Buddha to get help with his problems. After the man had told the Buddha one of his problems and asked for help, the Buddha replied: "I cannot help you get rid of that problem."
The man was surprised that the Buddha could not help him in this regard, but he told the Buddha about another problem; he thought to himself that the Buddha should at least be able to help him with that problem. But the Buddha told him "I cannot help you with that problem either."
The man started to get impatient. He said: "How can it be that you are the perfectly Enlightened Buddha, when you can’t even help people get rid of their problems?" The Buddha answered: "You will always have 83 problems in your life. Sometimes a problem will go, but then another problem will come. I cannot help you with that."
The baffled man asked the Buddha: "But, what can you help me with, then?"
The Buddha replied: "I can help you get rid of your 84th problem."
The man asked: "But what is my 84th problem?"
The Buddha replied: "That you want to get rid of your 83 problems."

A Japanese warrior was captured by his enemies and thrown into prison. That night he was unable to sleep because he feared that the next day he would be interrogated, tortured, and executed. Then the words of his Zen master came to him,
"Tomorrow is not real. It is an illusion. The only reality is now."
Heeding these words, the warrior became peaceful and fell asleep.

During the civil wars in feudal Japan, an invading army would quickly sweep into a town and take control. In one particular village, everyone fled just before the army arrived - everyone except the Zen master.
Curious about this old fellow, the general went to the temple to see for himself what kind of man this master was. When he wasn't treated with the deference and submissiveness to which he was accustomed, the general burst into anger.
"You fool," he shouted as he reached for his sword, "Don't you realize you are standing before a man who could run you through without blinking an eye!"
But despite the threat, the master seemed unmoved.
"And do you realize," the master replied calmly, "that you are standing before a man who can be run through without blinking an eye?"

A great saint, Narada, was going to paradise. He used to travel between paradise and earth. He functioned like a postman between that world and this world.
One day he was on a bridge and saw an ancient sage, very old, sitting under a tree and repeating his holy mantra. He had been repeating this mantra for many years and many lifetimes. Narada asked him, "Would you like to ask about something? Would you like me to give some message of yours to God?"
The old man opened his eyes and said, "Just inquire about one thing: how much longer do I have to wait? How long? Tell God it is too much! For many lives I have been doing this mantra, now how long am I expected to do it? I am tired of it! I am bored with it. I want enlightenment already!"
Now underneathe the next tree was a young man with an ektara, a one-stringed instrument, playing it and dancing joyfully. Narada asked him jokingly, "Would you also like to inquire about how long it will take for your enlightenment to happen?" But the young man did not even bother to answer. He continued his dance.
Narada asked again, "I am going to visit God, do you have any requests at all or any message you'd like me to deliver?" The young man laughed and continued to dance.
Narada came back a few days later and told the old man, "God said that you will have to wait at least three lives more." The old man became so angry that he threw his mantra beads. He almost hit Narada! And he said, "This is nonsense! I have been waiting so long and have been doing all the right things, all kinds of austerities--chanting, fasting, and all forms of rituals. I have fulfilled all the requirements. Three lives--this is riduculous, and absolutely unfair!"
Narada looked over and saw the young man was still dancing under his tree, very joyously. Narada was afraid to say anything, but still he went and told him, "Although you did not ask, out of my own curiosity I wanted to know. When God said that that old man would have to wait three lives, I had to inquire about you. And God said, 'Ah yes that young man dancing--to experience enlightenment he will have to wait as many lives as there are leaves on the tree under which he is dancing.'"
And the young man started singing and dancing even more joyously and he said, "Just as many leaves as are on this tree? Then it is not very far away, it's as if I have already arrived! Just compare how many trees there are on the whole earth. Only one tree left, it is soooo very close! Thank you, thank you, sir, it is a blessing that I have so much time to enjoy my life!"
And the young man danced the entire day long. Later on that evening the young man had a great awakening and became instantly enlightened.

One evening, the sun was setting and the neighbourhood found her searching for something on the street -- an old woman, everybody loved her; of course everybody thought her a little crazy, but she was a beautiful person -- so they all rushed to help her and they asked, "What has been lost? What are you searching for?"
She said: "My needle. I was doing some needlework and I have lost my needle. Help me! You are so kind!" So they all engaged in the search.
Then one man, seeing the fact that the street was so big and the needle was such a small tiny thing and that unless they exactly knew where it had been dropped it would be almost impossible to find it, came to Rabia and said: "Tell us exactly the spot."
Rabia said: "Don't ask that because in fact I have not lost it outside my house, I lost it inside."
They all stopped searching and said: "Crazy woman! Then why are you searching here outside in the street when you have lost it inside the house?"
Rabia said: "THERE is much darkness. Here is a little light, how can you seek when there is darkness? And you know I am poor, not even a lamp with me. How can you seek when there is darkness? So I am seeking here because still a little sunlight is left, and still something can be done to search."
The people started laughing. They said: "You are really crazy! We know that in darkness it is difficult to search, but then the only way is to borrow a lamp from somebody and search for it there."
Rabia said: "I never thought you people were so wise. Then why do you always SEEK outside? I was just following your ways. If you are so understanding why don't you borrow a lamp from me and search inside? I know there is darkness..."

A great emperor asks his wise men to give him a mantra of such a type that it can be used in any dangerous, fatal situation – Any Advice is always particular, and he wants a mantra, an advice, the essence of all wisdom, so that it can be used in any situation whatsoever, whenever there is danger. The wise men are very confused, very disturbed, and in a deep anguish. They cannot find such an essence of all wisdom.
Then they go to a Sufi mystic and he gives a piece of paper and says, "This should not be opened unless there is Really danger! And then the advice will be there." So the king put the piece of paper under the diamond of his ring. There are many moments when the danger approaches, but the Sufi has emphatically said, "Unless you feel this is really the last hope – that nothing can be more dangerous – only then open it!" Many dangers come and go, and the king always feels this is not the last; something more can still happen.
Even death approaches, and the king is just on his deathbed, but still he cannot open it, because he remembers still more is possible. But his wise men say, "Now please open it. We want to see what is there." But the king says, "The promise must be fulfilled. Really, now it is irrelevant what is there; the mantra has worked upon me. Since having this mantra with me, I have not felt any danger at all. Whatsoever the danger was, I have felt still more was possible, and I have remained the host. I was never identified."
And the king said, "Now I am not worried at all, whatsoever. The man is wise; the Sufi knows – I am not concerned about what he has written."
Then, the king died without opening the ring. The moment he died, the first thing his wise men did was to open the ring. There was nothing; it was just a piece of paper... just a piece of paper – not a word, not a single word of advice. But the advice worked; the mantra worked.

God and I in space alone
And nobody else in view.
"And where are all the people, Oh Lord" I said,
"The earth below and the sky o'erhead
And the dead that I once knew?"
"That was a dream," God smiled and said,
"The dream that seemed to be true.
There were no people living or dead;
There was no earth, and no sky o'erhead,
There was only myself -- in you."
"Why do I feel no fear?" I asked,
"Meeting you here in this way?
For I have sinned, I know full well
And is there heaven and is there hell,
And is this Judgement Day?"
"Nay, those were but dreams," the Great God said,
"Dreams that have ceased to be.
There are no such things as fear and sin;
There is no you . . . you never have been.
There is nothing at all but Me."

NDE experience by Mellen-Thomas Benedict
The Road to Death
In 1982 I died from terminal cancer. The condition I had was inoperable, and any kind of chemotherapy they could give me would just have made me more of a vegetable. I was given six to eight months to live. I had been an information freak in the 1970's, and I had become increasingly despondent over the nuclear crisis, the ecology crisis, and so forth. So, since I did not have a spiritual basis, I began to believe that nature had made a mistake, and that we were probably a cancerous organism on the planet. I saw no way that we could get out from all the problems we had created for ourselves and the planet. I perceived all humans as cancer, and that is what I got. That is what killed me. Be careful what your world view is. It can feed back on you, especially if it is a negative world view. I had a seriously negative one. That is what led me into my death. I tried all sorts of alternative healing methods, but nothing helped.
So I determined that this was really just between me and God. I had never really faced God before, or even dealt with God. I was not into any kind of spirituality at the time, but I began a journey into learning about spirituality and alternative healing. I set out to do all the reading I could and bone up on the subject, because I did not want to be surprised on the other side. So I started reading on various religions and philosophies. They were all very interesting, and gave hope that there was something on the other side.
On the other hand, as a self-employed stained-glass artist at the time, I had no medical insurance whatsoever. So my life savings went overnight in testing. Then I was facing the medical profession without any kind of insurance. I did not want to have my family dragged down financially, so I determined to handle this myself. There was not constant pain, but there were black-outs. I got so that I would not dare to drive, and eventually I ended up in hospice care. I had my own personal hospice caretaker. I was very blessed by this angel who went through the last part of this with me. I lasted about eighteen months. I did not want to take a lot of drugs, since I wanted to be as conscious as possible. Then I experienced such pain that I had nothing but pain in my consciousness, luckily only for a few days at a time.
The Light of God
I remember waking up one morning at home about 4:30 am, and I just knew that this was it. This was the day I was going to die. So I called a few friends and said goodbye. I woke up my hospice caretaker and told her. I had a private agreement with her that she would leave my dead body alone for six hours, since I had read that all kinds of interesting things happen when you die. I went back to sleep. The next thing I remember is the beginning of a typical near-death experience. Suddenly I was fully aware and I was standing up, but my body was in the bed. There was this darkness around me. Being out of my body was even more vivid than ordinary experience. It was so vivid that I could see every room in the house, I could see the top of the house, I could see around the house, I could see under the house.
There was this light shining. I turned toward the light. The light was very similar to what many other people have described in their near-death experiences. It was so magnificent. It is tangible; you can feel it. It is alluring; you want to go to it like you would want to go to your ideal mother's or father's arms.
As I began to move toward the light, I knew intuitively that if I went to the light, I would be dead.
So as I was moving toward the light I said, "Please wait a minute, just hold on a second here. I want to think about this; I would like to talk to you before I go."
To my surprise, the entire experience halted at that point. You are indeed in control of your near-death experience. You are not on a roller coaster ride. So my request was honored and I had some conversations with the light. The light kept changing into different figures, like Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, mandalas, archetypal images and signs.
I asked the light, "What is going on here? Please, light, clarify yourself for me. I really want to know the reality of the situation."
I cannot really say the exact words, because it was sort of telepathy. The light responded. The information transferred to me was that your beliefs shape the kind of feedback you are getting before the light. If you were a Buddhist or Catholic or Fundamentalist, you get a feedback loop of your own stuff. You have a chance to look at it and examine it, but most people do not.
As the light revealed itself to me, I became aware that what I was really seeing was our Higher Self matrix. The only thing I can tell you is that it turned into a matrix, a mandala of human souls, and what I saw was that what we call our Higher Self in each of us is a matrix. It's also a conduit to the Source; each one of us comes directly, as a direct experience from the Source. We all have a Higher Self, or an oversoul part of our being. It revealed itself to me in its truest energy form. The only way I can really describe it is that the being of the Higher Self is more like a conduit. It did not look like that, but it is a direct connection to the Source that each and every one of us has. We are directly connected to the Source.
So the light was showing me the Higher Self matrix. And it became very clear to me that all the Higher Selves are connected as one being, all humans are connected as one being, we are actually the same being, different aspects of the same being. It was not committed to one particular religion. So that is what was being fed back to me. And I saw this mandala of human souls. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I just went into it and, it was just overwhelming. It was like all the love you've every wanted, and it was the kind of love that cures, heals, regenerates.
As I asked the light to keep explaining, I understood what the Higher Self matrix is. We have a grid around the planet where all the Higher Selves are connected. This is like a great company, a next subtle level of energy around us, the spirit level, you might say.
Then, after a couple of minutes, I asked for more clarification. I really wanted to know what the universe is about, and I was ready to go at that time.
I said, "I am ready, take me."
Then the light turned into the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen: a mandala of human souls on this planet.
Now I came to this with my negative view of what has happened on the planet. So as I asked the light to keep clarifying for me, I saw in this magnificent mandala how beautiful we all are in our essence, our core. We are the most beautiful creations. The human soul, the human matrix that we all make together is absolutely fantastic, elegant, exotic, everything. I just cannot say enough about how it changed my opinion of human beings in that instant.
I said, "Oh, God, I did not know how beautiful we are."
At any level, high or low, in whatever shape you are in, you are the most beautiful creation, you are.
I was astonished to find that there was no evil in any soul.
I said, "How can this be?"
The answer was that no soul was inherently evil. The terrible things that happened to people might make them do evil things, but their souls were not evil. What all people seek, what sustains them, is love, the light told me. What distorts people is a lack of love.
The revelations coming from the light seemed to go on and on, then I asked the light, "Does this mean that humankind will be saved?"
Then, like a trumpet blast with a shower of spiraling lights, the Great Light spoke, saying, "Remember this and never forget; you save, redeem and heal yourself. You always have. You always will. You were created with the power to do so from before the beginning of the world."
In that instant I realized even more. I realized that WE HAVE ALREADY BEEN SAVED, and we saved ourselves because we were designed to self-correct like the rest of God's universe. This is what the second coming is about.
I thanked the light of God with all my heart. The best thing I could come up with was these simple words of totally appreciation:
"Oh dear God, dear Universe, dear Great Self, I love my life."
The light seemed to breathe me in even more deeply. It was as if the light was completely absorbing me. The love light is, to this day, indescribable. I entered into another realm, more profound than the last, and became aware of something more, much more. It was an enormous stream of light, vast and full, deep in the heart of life. I asked what this was.
The light responded, "This is the RIVER OF LIFE. Drink of this manna water to your heart's content."
So I did. I took one big drink and then another. To drink of life Itself! I was in ecstasy.
Then the light said, "You have a desire."
The light knew all about me, everything past, present and future.
"Yes!" I whispered.
I asked to see the rest of the universe; beyond our solar system, beyond all human illusion. The light then told me that I could go with the Stream. I did, and was carried through the light at the end of the tunnel. I felt and heard a series of very soft sonic booms. What a rush!
Suddenly I seemed to be rocketing away from the planet on this stream of life. I saw the Earth fly away. The solar system, in all its splendor, whizzed by and disappeared. At faster than light speed, I flew through the center of the galaxy, absorbing more knowledge as I went. I learned that this galaxy, and all of the universe, is bursting with many different varieties of LIFE. I saw many worlds. The good news is that we are not alone in this universe!
As I rode this stream of consciousness through the center of the galaxy, the stream was expanding in awesome fractal waves of energy. The super clusters of galaxies with all their ancient wisdom flew by. At first I thought I was going somewhere; actually traveling. But then I realized that, as the stream was expanding, my own consciousness was also expanding to take in everything in the universe! All creation passed by me. It was an unimaginable wonder! I truly was a wonder child; a babe in Wonderland!
It seemed as if all the creations in the universe soared by me and vanished in a speck of light. Almost immediately, a second light appeared. It came from all sides, and was so different; a light made up of more than every frequency in the universe.
I felt and heard several velvety sonic booms again. My consciousness, or being, was expanding to interface with the entire holographic universe and more.
As I passed into the second light, the awareness came to me that I had just transcended the truth. Those are the best words I have for it, but I will try to explain. As I passed into the second light, I expanded beyond the first light. I found myself in a profound stillness, beyond all silence. I could see or perceive FOREVER, beyond infinity. I was in the void. I was in pre-creation, before the Big Bang. I had crossed over the beginning of time - the first word - the first vibration. I was in the eye of creation. I felt as if I was touching the face of God. It was not a religious feeling. Simply I was at one with absolute life and consciousness.
When I say that I could see or perceive forever, I mean that I could experience all of creation generating itself. It was without beginning and without end. That's a mind-expanding thought, isn't it? Scientists perceive the Big Bang as a single event which created the universe. I saw that the Big Bang is only one of an infinite number of Big Bangs creating universes endlessly and simultaneously. The only images that even come close in human terms would be those created by supercomputers using fractal geometry equations.
The ancients knew of this. They said Godhead periodically created new universes by breathing out, and de-creating other universes by breathing in. These epochs were called yugas. Modern science called this the Big Bang. I was in absolute, pure consciousness. I could see or perceive all the Big Bangs or yugas creating and de-creating themselves. Instantly I entered into them all simultaneously. I saw that each and every little piece of creation has the power to create. It is very difficult to try to explain this. I am still speechless about this.
It took me years after I returned to assimilate any words at all for the void experience. I can tell you this now; the void is less than nothing, yet more than everything that is! The void is absolute zero; chaos forming all possibilities. It is absolute consciousness; much more than even universal intelligence.
Where is the void? I know. The void is inside and outside everything. You, right now even while you live, are always inside and outside the void simultaneously. You don't have to go anywhere or die to get there. The void is the vacuum or nothingness between all physical manifestations. The SPACE between atoms and their components. Modern science has begun to study this space between everything. They call it zero-point. Whenever they try to measure it, their instruments go off the scale, or to infinity, so to speak. They have no way, as of yet, to measure infinity accurately. There is more of the zero space in your own body and the universe than anything else!
What mystics call the void is not a void. It is so full of energy, a different kind of energy that has created everything that we are. Everything since the Big Bang is vibration, from the first word, which is the first vibration.
The Biblical "I am" really has a question mark after it.
"I am? What am I?"
So creation is God exploring God's Self through every way imaginable, in an ongoing, infinite exploration through every one of us. Through every piece of hair on your head, through every leaf on every tree, through every atom, God is exploring God's Self, the great "I am". I began to see that everything that is, is the Self, literally, your Self, my Self. Everything is the great Self. That is why God knows even when a leaf falls. That is possible because wherever you are is the center of the universe. Wherever any atom is, that is the center of the universe. There is God in that, and God in the void.
As I was exploring the void and all the yugas or creations, I was completely out of time and space as we know it. In this expanded state, I discovered that creation is about absolute pure consciousness, or God, coming into the experience of life as we know it. The void itself is devoid of experience. It is pre-life, before the first vibration. Godhead is about more than life and death. Therefore there is even more than life and death to experience in the universe!
I was in the void and I was aware of everything that had ever been created. It was like I was looking out of God's eyes. I had become God. Suddenly I wasn't me anymore. The only thing I can say, I was looking out of God's eyes. And suddenly I knew why every atom was, and I could see everything.
The interesting point was that I went into the void, I came back with this understanding that God is not there. God is here. That's what it is all about. So this constant search of the human race to go out and find God ... God gave everything to us, everything is here - this is where it's at. And what we are into now is God's exploration of God through us. People are so busy trying to become God that they ought to realize that we are already God and God is becoming us. That's what it is really about.
When I realized this, I was finished with the void, and wanted to return to this creation, or yuga. It just seemed like the natural thing to do.
Then I suddenly came back through the second light, or the Big Bang, hearing several more velvet booms. I rode the stream of consciousness back through all of creation, and what a ride it was! The superclusters of galaxies came through me with even more insights. I passed through the center of our galaxy, which is a black hole. Black holes are the great processors or recyclers of the universe. Do you know what is on the other side of a black hole? We are; our galaxy; which has been reprocessed from another universe.
In its total energy configuration, the galaxy looked like a fantastic city of lights. All energy this side of the Big Bang is light. Every sub-atom, atom, star, planet, even consciousness itself is made of light and has a frequency and/or particle. Light is living stuff. Everything is made of light, even stones. So everything is alive. Everything is made from the light of God; everything is very intelligent.
The Light of Love
As I rode the stream on and on, I could eventually see a huge light coming. I knew it was the first light; the Higher Self light matrix of our solar system. Then the entire solar system appeared in the light, accompanied by one of those velvet booms.
I saw that the solar system we live in is our larger, local body. This is our local body and we are much bigger than we imagine. I saw that the solar system is our body. I am a part of this, and the Earth is this great created being that we are, and we are the part of it that knows that it is. But we are only that part of it. We are not everything, but we are that part of it that knows that it is.
I could see all the energy that this solar system generates, and it is an incredible light show! I could hear the music of the spheres. Our solar system, as do all celestial bodies, generates a unique matrix of light, sound and vibratory energies. Advanced civilizations from other star systems can spot life as we know it in the universe by the vibratory or energy matrix imprint. It is child's play. The Earth's wonder child (human beings) make an abundance of sound right now, like children playing in the backyard of the universe.
I rode the stream directly into the center of the light. I felt embraced by the light as it took me in with its breath again, followed by another soft sonic boom.
I was in this great light of love with the stream of life flowing through me. I have to say again, it is the most loving, non-judgmental light. It is the ideal parent for this wonder child.
"What now?" I wondered.
The light explained to me that there is no death; we are immortal beings. We have already been alive forever! I realized that we are part of a natural living system that recycles itself endlessly. I was never told that I had to come back. I just knew that I would. It was only natural, from what I had seen.
I don't know how long I was with the light, in human time. But there came a moment when I realized that all my questions had been answered and my return was near. When I say that all my questions were answered on the other side, I mean to say just that. All my questions have been answered. Every human has a different life and set of questions to explore. Some of our questions are universal, but each of us is exploring this thing we call life in our own unique way. So is every other form of life, from mountains to every leaf on every tree.
And that is very important to the rest of us in this universe. Because it all contributes to the Big Picture, the fullness of life. We are literally God exploring God's Self in an infinite Dance of Life. Your uniqueness enhances all of life.

A man went in search of truth. The first religious man he met was sitting under a tree, just outside his own village. He asked, ”I am searching for a true master. Please tell me the characteristics of a true master.” The fakir told him the characteristics. His description was very simple. He said, ”You’ll find him sitting under such and such a tree, sitting in such and such posture, his hands making such and such gestures – that is enough to know he is the true master.”
The seeker started searching. It is said that thirty years passed while he wandered the whole earth. He visited many places, but never met the master. He met many masters, but none were true masters. He returned to his own village completely exhausted. As he was returning he was surprised, he couldn’t believe it: that old man was seated under the same tree, and now he could see that this was the very tree that the old man had spoken of ”... he will be sitting under such and such a tree.....” And his posture was exactly as he had described. ”It was the same posture he was sitting in thirty years ago – was I blind? The exact expression on his face, the exact gestures....!”
He fell at his feet saying, ”Why didn’t you tell me in the first place? Why did you misdirect me for these thirty years? Why didn’t you tell me that you are the true master?”
The old man said, ”I told you, but you were not ready to listen. You were not able to come home without wandering away. You had to knock on the doors of a thousand houses to come to your own home, only then could you return. I said it, I said everything – beneath such and such a tree. I was describing this very tree, the posture I was sitting in, but you were too fast, you couldn’t hear correctly, you were in a hurry. You were going somewhere to search. Searching was very important for you, the truth was not so important.
”But you have come! I was feeling tired, sitting continuously in this posture for you. You were wandering for thirty years, but think of me sitting under this tree! I knew some day you would come, but what if I had already passed away? I waited for you – you have come! You had to wander for thirty years, but that’s your own fault. The master was always here.” It happens many times in our life that we cannot see what is near, and what is far attracts us. The distant drum sounds sweeter, we are pulled by distant dreams.

One day Hassan, a Sufi mystic, went to Rabiya, the great Sufi woman. He had just learned how to walk on water, so he told Rabiya, "Let us go and walk on water and have a little spiritual discourse, discussion." That spiritual discussion was just an excuse; he wanted to show Rabiya that he could walk on the water.
Rabiya said, "On the water? That does not appeal to me. Let us go to the clouds! We will sit on the clouds and have spiritual discourse."
Hassan said, "But I don't know how to go to the clouds and sit on the clouds."
Rabiya said, "Neither do I! But what is the point? Why can't we have a religious discourse here? Why go to the water or to the clouds?"
All great mystics have been against miracles, and all fools are interested in miracles.

One disciple is bragging about his master to the disciple of another master. He claims that his teacher is capable of all sorts of magical acts, like writing in the air with a brush, and having the characters appear on a piece of paper hundreds of feet away.
"And what can YOUR master do?" he asks the other disciple.
"My master can also perform amazing feats," the other student replies. "When he's tired, he sleeps. When hungry, he eats".

Majnu fell in love with a woman called Laila who was not beautiful according to others. According to the public opinion she was very ordinary, homely -- not only that but ugly too. And Majnu was mad, so mad that the very name of Majnu has become synonymous with madness. He was continuously praying to God, continuously moving around the city asking people for help, because he was a poor man and the woman he had fallen in love with belonged to an aristocratic family. Even to see Laila from far away was not easy. It was a Mohammedan country, and in a Mohammedan country it is very difficult to see even the face of a woman.
Seeing his agony, his anguish, even the king became a little concerned. He called Majnu; he felt great compassion for him. He told him, "I know that woman; that family is well known to me, and if Laila had been a beautiful woman she would have been part of my harem. I have not chosen her -- she is not worth choosing. I have got all the beautiful women from all over the country, and I feel so much for you that I will give you a chance. You can choose any woman from my harem and she will be yours!" -- and he called the most beautiful women.
Majnu looked at each woman in minute detail and said, "This is not Laila!" Again and again...he passed over a dozen women, and the remark was always the same: "This is not Laila!"
The king said, "You must have gone utterly crazy! Laila is nothing compared to these beautiful women! You can choose anyone. I KNOW your Laila, I have known the most beautiful women of the world, and my women are some of the greatest that have ever been on the earth."
Majnu said, "But you don't understand me. And I can understand that you cannot understand. It is not a question of choosing somebody else; the choice is not in my hands. It has happened already; the heart has chosen! I am nobody, I cannot interfere in it. The mind is only the circumference; the heart is the center. The center has chosen, how can the circumference interfere?
"And moreover -- forgive me for saying so, because you have been so kind -- I still insist that there has never been a woman like Laila and there will never be again. But to see the beauty of Laila you need the eyes of a Majnu, and you don't have those eyes so nothing can be done about it. You have to see her through MY eyes; only then will you be able to see the grandeur, the splendor of her being."

Like a weather balloon I experience all types of emotional weather. I used to be concerned with maps and scales such as the one David Hawkins presents to tell me where I was on the journey. Slowly I found that I no longer was stuck in only the higher emotions mentioned in the map he proposed. I found the dividing sphere between me and everything else blurring. I feel so many emotions and they slip through me like otters playing. Sometimes I am aware they are coming from 'another' but most of the time I just feel them as they pass through and dissipate. I have come to see that the key to ease in this reality is lack of resistance, and if resistance exists simply accept that too. If you'd like to check me on the map... please feel free.

The philosophers, logicians and doctors of law were drawn up at court to examine Mulla Nasrudin. This was a serious case, because he had admitted going from village to village saying: "The so-called wise men are ignorant, irresolute and confused." He was charged with undermining the security of the state.
"You may speak first," said the King.
"Have paper and pens brought," said the Mulla.
Paper and pens were brought.
"Give some to each of the first seven savants."
They were distributed.
"Have them write separately an answer to this question:
'What is bread?'"
This was done. The papers were handed to the King, who read them out:
The first said: "Bread is a food."
The second: "It is flour and water."
The third: "A gift of God."
The fourth: "Baked dough."
The fifth: "Changeable, according to how you mean 'bread'."
The sixth: "A nutritious substance."
The seventh: "Nobody really knows."
"When they decide what bread is," said Nasruddin, "It will be possible for them to decide other things.
For example, whether I am right or wrong. Can you entrust matters of assessment and judgement to people like this? Is it or is it not strange that they cannot agree about something which they eat each day, and yet are unanimous that I am a heretic?"
Yes, that is the situation of your so-called philosophers, theologians, doctors of law: the learned people. They are parrots. They have not even known themselves yet – what else can they know? They are not even acquainted with themselves – how can they be acquainted with others? They have not unravelled the mystery that they are.

Bayazid, a Sufi mystic was passing through a cemetery and he came upon a heap of skulls. Out of curiosity he took one skull. He had always been of the thought that all skulls are almost the same, but they were not the same. There were a few skulls whose ears were joined together; there was a passage. There were a few skulls whose ears were not joined together; there was a barrier between the two. There were a few skulls both of whose ears were joined to the heart but not joined together; there was a passage running to the heart.
He was very surprised. He prayed and asked God, "What is the matter? What are you trying to reveal to me?"
And it is said that he heard a voice. God said,
"There are three types of people: one, who hear through one ear; it never reaches anywhere -- in fact they don't hear, just the sound vibrates and disappears. There is another type, who hear, but only momentarily -- they hear through one ear, and through the other ear it is lost into the world again. There are a few souls, of course, who hear through the ears and it reaches to the heart."
And God said, "Bayazid, I have brought you to this heap of skulls just to help you remember it when you are talking to people. Talk only to those who take whatsoever you say to their hearts -- otherwise don't waste your energy, and don't waste your time. Your life is precious: you have a message to deliver."

Toward what goal is all this Spiritual Evolution tending? What does it all mean?
From the low planes of life to the highest — all are on The Path. To what state or place does The Path lead?
Let us attempt to answer by asking you to imagine a series of millions of circles, one within the other. Each circle means a stage of Life. The outer circles are filled with life in its lowest and most material stages—each circle nearer the Centre holds higher and higher forms—until Men (or what were once Men) become as gods. Still on, and on, and on. does the form of life grow higher, until the human mind cannot grasp the idea.
"But beyond your plane, and beyond mine, are plane after plane, connected with our earth, the splendors of which man cannot conceive. And there are likewise many planes around the other planets of our chain—and there are millions of other worlds—and there are chains of universes just as there are chains of planets—and then greater groups of these chains—and so on greater and grander beyond the power of man to imagine—on and on and on and on—higher and higher—to inconceivable heights. An infinity of infinities of worlds are before us. Our world and our planetary system and our system of suns, and our system of solar systems, are but as grains of sand on the beach of the mighty ocean.
But then you cry, 'But what am I—poor mortal thing—lost among all this inconceivable greatness?'
The answer comes that You are that most precious thing—a living soul. And if you were destroyed the whole system of universes would crumble, for you are as necessary as the greatest part of it—it cannot do without you—you cannot be lost or destroyed—you are a part of it all, and are eternal.
'But,' you ask, 'Beyond all of this of which you have told me, what is there—what is the Centre of it All?'
Your Teacher’s face takes on a rapt expression—a light not of earth beams forth from his countenance. 'The Absolute One Creator!' he replies. But what is the Centre? The mind of the entire Spiritual Body—the Absolute! And we are traveling toward that Centre!

'The Absolute One Creator!' he replies. But what is the Centre? The mind of the entire Spiritual Body—the Absolute! And we are traveling toward that Centre!
It seems the Golden Spiral could also be used for this analogy. Is there really a center? If you imagine surfing the spiral inward to the center point, once there it seems we would find ourselves not at the center at all, just at a different point of the spiral that before merely looked like the center. So, at that time, it would seem we now would have our sights set on a new center.
This reminds me of the old commercial: "How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop? The world may never know".
Cheers,

'You can have anything you want, any food, any pleasure, any diversion,' he said.
Delighted, Juan did everything he had dreamed of doing while alive. Then, after many years of pleasure, he again searched out the man in white.
'I've done everything I wanted to do. Now I need a job, so that I can feel useful,' he said.
'I'm sorry,' replied the man in white. 'But that is the one thing I can't give you; there is no work here.'
'How awful!' said Juan angrily. 'That means I'll spend all eternity bored to death! I wish I was in Hell!'
The man in white came over to him and said softly:

"Why would a man risk his life so easily?" he was once asked.

Some more Pearls of Wisdom from David R. Hawkins (Most of those come from the book: The Eye of the I: From Which Nothing Is Hidden)
The experience of the presence of God is available and within at all times, but awaits choice. That choice is made only by surrendering everything other than peace and love to God. In return, the divinity of the Self reveals Itself as ever present but not experienced because it has been ignored or forgotten, or one has chosen otherwise.
In reality, the love of God, like the sun, shines equally on all.
When one realizes that one is the universe, complete and at one with All That Is, forever without end, no further suffering is possible.
The soul is the author of its own fate by the exercise of its own choice and selection.
At first, spiritual purification seems difficult, but eventually, it becomes natural. To consistently choose love, peace, or forgiveness leads one out of the house of mirrors. The joy of God is so exquisite that any sacrifice is worth the effort and seeming pain.
It is helpful to remember that neither Truth nor Enlightenment is something to be found, sought, acquired, gained, or possessed. That which is the Infinite Presence is always present and its realization occurs of itself when the obstacles to that realization are removed. It is therefore not necessary to study the truth but only to let go of that which is fallacious. Moving away the clouds does not cause the sun to shine but merely reveals that which was hidden all along. Spiritual work, therefore, is primarily a letting go of the presumably known for the unknown, with the promise of others who have done it that the effort is more than well rewarded at the end.
Q: Where does one begin the search for spiritual truth self-realization called enlightenment?
A: It is simple. Begin with who and what you are. All truth is found within. Use verified teachings as a guide.
At some point, the illusion breaks down and the opening for the start of the spiritual quest commences. The quest turns from without to within and the search for answers begins.
There is absolutely nothing in ordinary human experience to compare with the joy of the presence of the Love of God.
To let go of the known for the unknown requires great commitment, willingness, and devotion to surrendering one’s faith to God.
Question: How can meditation persist in one's daily existence?
Answer: By merely constantly posing the question to oneself of 'what's' doing the acting, talking, feeling, thinking, or observing? This is a focus of attention with no languaging. The spiritual teacher Ramana Maharshi called that process 'self inquiry', which he recommended as a technique that was suitable at all times in all activities. Continuous meditation could be likened to a mudra, or posture and attitude, in which every act is sanctified by its surrender as an act of service or worship. When one's attitude towards everything becomes a devotion, Divinity reveals itself.

The mystic Ramakrishna began his dedication to the spiritual life when he was sixteen. At first, he used to weep bitterly because, despite his devotion to the work at the temple, he seemed to be getting nowhere.
Later, when he was famous, a friend asked him about that period of his life. Ramakrishna replied:
'If a thief were to spend the night in a room with only a thin wall separating him from another room full of gold, do you think he would be able to sleep? He would lie awake all night, scheming. When I was young, I desired God as ardently as a thief would desire that gold, and it took me a long time to learn that the greatest virtue in the spiritual search is patience.'

The Greek writer Nikos Kazantzakis tells how, as a child, he found a cocoon attached to a tree and saw that the butterfly inside the cocoon was just preparing to emerge. He waited for some time, but because the process seemed so long drawn out, he decided to speed things up. He began to warm the cocoon with his breath. However, when the butterfly did finally emerge, its wings were still stuck together, and it died a short time afterwards.
'What it required was patient ripening by the sun, and I could not wait,' says Kazantzakis.
'Even now, that small corpse is one of the greatest weights I have on my conscience. But it taught me what is truly a mortal sin: to force the great laws of the universe.
We must be patient and wait for the right moment and gladly follow the rhythm God has chosen for our life and for the life of others.'

Hello Hamida,
I got 648.
Much blessings :)
23/5
5: Freedom and Discipline
2: Cooperation and Balance
3: Expression and Sensitivity
Those on the 32/5 or 23/5 life path are here to work through issues related to
independence, emotional honesty, and cooperation, finally experiencing freedom
through discipline and depth of experience. Since our life path presents hurdles to
overcome, both 32/5s and 23/5s confront internal challenges, t tendencies,
and conflicts in areas of dependence and independence, responsibility, and
honest expression of emotion.
Individuals working 32/5 or 23/5 are nearly identical in terms of
the fundamental energies of their birth number, the only difference
being the reversed order of the 3 and 2. Most 23/5s tend to be late
bloomers, taking longer to come into their confidence due to the more
predominant 3 energy, with its issues of sensitivity and self-doubt; they
also have stronger fears along with a stronger drive toward expression
than 32/5s.
Most 32/5s have deeper issues around cooperation than their counterparts;
they tend to give their all for someone, even letting go of their
own multifaceted identity and, chameleonlike, adapting to the values,
interests, and desires of their partner. Then, somewhere down the line,
to the degree they have ignored their own needs, they may withdraw
emotionally or become resentful.
Guidelines and Recommendations
• You are more than the role you play; value your essence.
• Remember: Discipline and depth open the doors to freedom.
• Pace yourself, make time for relaxation, and stay healthy.
• Find the courage to be as open and vulnerable as you can.
Useful Questions
1. Reflect on the following questions:
• When I feel limited or restricted, who can set me free?
• Have I found a balance between dependence and independence?
• What is my present level of discipline and focus?
• Do I directly express what I really feel and need?

The giraffe gives birth standing up, so the first thing that happens to a new-born giraffe is a fall of about two metres.
Still dazed, the baby tries to stand up on its four legs, but its mother behaves very strangely: she gives the baby giraffe a gentle kick which sends it sprawling. It tries to get up and is again knocked down.
This process is repeated several times, until the new-born giraffe is too exhausted to stand. At that point, the mother kicks it again, forcing it to get to its feet. After that, she does not push the baby giraffe over again.
The explanation is simple: in order to survive predators, the first lesson a giraffe must learn is to get to its feet quickly. The mother's apparent cruelty finds support in an Arabic proverb:
'Sometimes, in order to teach something good, you have to be a little rough.'

When he did, his father quickly shut the door and locked him in. Then he went back outside, knocked loudly on the front door, thereby waking the family, and quickly slipped away before anyone saw him. Hours later, his son returned home, bedraggled and exhausted.
"Father," he cried angrily,
"Why did you lock me in that closet? If I hadn't been made desperate by my fear of getting caught, I never would have escaped. It took all my ingenuity to get out!"
The old thief smiled.
"Son, you have had your first lesson in the art of burglary."

Some recommendation from the Law of One to accelerate one's growth:
The first known thing in creation is infinity. Then infinity becomes aware. ... As the Creator decides to experience Itself, It manifests what we would perceive as outer space. As the Creator continues to experience Itself, It manifests free will and Love. ...
The action of free will upon Love creates manyness. Manyness first starts out as an outpouring of randomized creative force, which then creates patterns. The patterns of energy begin to regularize their own rhythms and fields, thus creating dimensions and universes. The galaxy, and all other material things, are the products of individualized portions of intelligent infinity. Each individualized portion of the One would become a Co-Creator and creates a universe.
Each universe would evolve with its own set of natural laws. Any portion of any universe, no matter how small, contains, as in a holographic picture, the one Creator which is infinity. Thus, all begins and ends in mystery.
So what seems important is not to anticipate the future with fear, but rather to live each moment with an awareness of being part of everything.
A Third Density entity can accelerate its growth much more while alive in a physical body than in between incarnations. If an entity chooses to accept responsibility for each moment of experience, then this empowers its progress.
Seeking the Creator is done not just in meditation and in the work of the adept, but in the experience of every moment. In each infinitesimal part of yourself resides the One in all its power.
Live from the heart, not from technique. We are all one. The fundamental teachings of all planes of existence are Unity, Love, Light, and Joy. The second-ranking lessons are in meditation and service.
Contemplate the following:
1. Each moment contains love.
2. The Universe is one Being. When you view another, see the Creator.
3. Gaze within a mirror. See the Creator.
4. Gaze at the Creation which lies about the mind/body/spirit of each entity. See the Creator.
5. The best way of service to others is to open the Self to others without hesitation and radiate that which is the essence, or the heart.
6. Become aware of the other as being the same as yourself.
7. Accept all experiences, distilling from them the Light/Love within them. That which is not needed falls away.
8. The offering of Self to the Creator is the greatest service.

The meaning of life:
As we throw off sheath after sheath, we approach nearer and nearer to the spirit within us, which is the One Spirit pervading all
things. This is the Meaning of Life—the Secret of Evolution. All the Universe is contained Within the Mind of The One. There is
Nothing outside of that Infinite Mind. There is no Outside, for the One is All in All; Space, Time, and Laws, being but Mental
Images in that Mind, as are likewise all shapes and forms, and phenomena.
And as the Ego unfolds into a realization of Itself—Its Real Self—so does its Wisdom and Power expand. It thus
enters into a greater and greater degree of its Inheritance.
Within the Mind of the One, is All there is. And I, and Thou, and All Things are here within that Infinite Mind. We are always
"held in Mind" by The Absolute — are always safe here. There is nothing to harm us, in Reality, for our Real Self is the Real Self of
the Infinite Mind.
All is Within the Mind of the One. Even the tiniest atom is under the Law, and protected by the Law. And
the Law is All there Is. And in that Law we may rest Content and Unafraid.
May this Realization be yours.

I must say you are doing an awesome job with this thread, Eternal_One. This is really great!
I am curious as to how much these calibrations might vary day to day and week to week. At the risk of starting another flood of requests, would you mind re-calibrating my calibration?

Thats depends the individual. I have seen some people that fluctuate daily, other almost never.
I am still getting the same result for your case.
From my experience and the results I got from others, I know that there are some big "wall".
200.
500.
540.
and the big wall at 700.
Those are big cornerstone. Especially the last one :)

My reading of that suggest that 699 and below requires some form of identity, that experiences the states, whereas, 700+ is moving into a territory where identity is with the all.
Now that has to be a tough barrier right?
This is only my thinking - I havent finished the power vs force book yet, and I don't really know for sure what the reason is.

I am at 639. Feels very right for me. I am at peace but still have some fire in me and my ego is a motivator and I use it to that end. I have noticed the various scores and feel in excellent company here. I do not believe, with some of the work still before me, that crossing the 700 threshhold will occur and I feel no need for it. I am working my dharma and all is in the right place, even the issues that need attention and work.
I am glad to have Eternal one here to be able to communicate to us through the hole in that wall.

I would say it is a mental block more than anything. The difference between both side is not so much. (699 - 720)
However there is another 'wall' later, and there the difference is enormous (after 850).
What make is hard to cross, for the first one?
- Tiny lack of Faith. Faith crisis.
- Confusion.
- A mistaken notion about enlightenment and karma.
- Walking the path not totally.
- Failing to see the Oneness and the perfection and the 'Isness' of every moment / situation.
- Get suck back into the wordly life.
- Probably because of one's life mission.
And I would just say: its not for everybody to reach that in this lifetime here. We need different people at different stage for many many reasons. Earth 3D is just Kindergarten level :)

Well ... I love the peace I experience. It is not that I don't get upset and mad or confused or in pain, it is that the peace is becoming so important (Well, that is an understatement, I'm becoming addicted to it.) I care less and less if I'm resentful or confused or mad or in pain. I don't want to hear about it anymore from myself. I just try to feel the emotion blocking the peace as hard as I can, understand it as completely as I can (the source and destination), as privately as I can, love and accept as totally as I can, and move on as quickly as I can back to peace. If I don't, life moves too fast and you know how that can go to hell in a handbasket lol. I start judging myself, not loving myself and ooh I like loving myself ... by George I NEVER thought I'd say I love myself. Yeshua, that is an earthquake and a half.

Once when Confucius was travelling with his disciples, he heard tell of a very intelligent boy living in a particular village. Confucius went to see and talk to him and he jokingly asked:
'How would you like to help me do away with all the irregularities and inequalities in the world?'
'But why?' asked the boy. 'If we flattened the mountains, the birds would have no shelter. If we filled up the deep rivers and the sea, the fish would die. If the head of the village had as much authority as the madman, no one would know where they were. The world is vast enough to cope with differences.'

We need different people at different stage for many many reasons.
There was once a stone cutter who was dissatisfied with himself and with his position in life.
One day he passed a wealthy merchant's house. Through the open gateway, he saw many fine possessions and important visitors. "How powerful that merchant must be!" thought the stone cutter. He became very envious and wished that he could be like the merchant.
To his great surprise, he suddenly became the merchant, enjoying more luxuries and power than he had ever imagined, but envied and detested by those less wealthy than himself. Soon a high official passed by, carried in a sedan chair, accompanied by attendants and escorted by soldiers beating gongs. Everyone, no matter how wealthy, had to bow low before the procession. "How powerful that official is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be a high official!"
Then he became the high official, carried everywhere in his embroidered sedan chair, feared and hated by the people all around. It was a hot summer day, so the official felt very uncomfortable in the sticky sedan chair. He looked up at the sun. It shone proudly in the sky, unaffected by his presence. "How powerful the sun is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be the sun!"
Then he became the sun, shining fiercely down on everyone, scorching the fields, cursed by the farmers and laborers. But a huge black cloud moved between him and the earth, so that his light could no longer shine on everything below. "How powerful that storm cloud is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be a cloud!"
Then he became the cloud, flooding the fields and villages, shouted at by everyone. But soon he found that he was being pushed away by some great force, and realized that it was the wind. "How powerful it is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be the wind!"
Then he became the wind, blowing tiles off the roofs of houses, uprooting trees, feared and hated by all below him. But after a while, he ran up against something that would not move, no matter how forcefully he blew against it - a huge, towering rock. "How powerful that rock is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be a rock!"
Then he became the rock, more powerful than anything else on earth. But as he stood there, he heard the sound of a hammer pounding a chisel into the hard surface, and felt himself being changed. "What could be more powerful than I, the rock?" he thought.
He looked down and saw far below him the figure of a stone cutter.

Maybe it's a silly question, I apology if it's the case.

A young lion was one day playing alone in the forest while his mother slept.
As the different objects attracted his attention, he thought he would explore a bit and see what the great world beyond his home was like. Before he realized it, he had wandered so far that he could not find his way back.
He was lost.
Very much frightened, he ran frantically in every direction calling piteously for his mother, but no mother responded.
Weary with his wanderings, he did not know what to do, when a sheep, whose offspring had been taken from her, hearing his pitiful cries, made friends with the lost lion, and adopted him.
The sheep became very fond of her foundling, which in a short while grew so much larger than herself that at times she was almost afraid of it.
The foster mother and her adopted lived very happily together, until one day a magnificent lion appeared, sharply outlined against the sky, on the top of an opposite hill. He shook his tawny inane and uttered a terrific roar, which echoed through the hills.
The sheep mother stood trembling, paralyzed with fear. But the moment this strange sound reached his ears, the young lion listened as though spellbound, and a strange feeling which he had never before experienced surged through his being until be was all a-quiver.
The lion's roar had touched a chord in his nature that had never before been touched. It aroused a new force within him which he had never felt before.
New desires, a strange new consciousness of power possessed him. A new nature stirred in him, and instinctively, without a thought of what he was doing, he answered the lion's call with a corresponding roar.
Trembling with mingled fear, surprise and bewilderment at the new powers aroused within him, the awakened animal gave his foster mother a pathetic glance, and then, with a tremendous leap, started toward the lion on the hill.
The lost lion had found himself.
Up to this he had gamboled around his sheep mother just as though he were a lamb developing into a sheep, never dreaming he could do anything that his companions could not do, or that he had any more strength than the ordinary sheep.
He never imagined that there was within him a power which would strike terror to the beasts of the jungle. He simply thought he was a sheep, and would run at the sight of a dog and tremble at the howl of a wolf.
Now he was amazed to see the dogs, the wolves, and other animals which formerly had so terrified him flee from him.

Just how does Enlightenment/Self-Realization/No-Mind/Liberation happen?
• Lao Tzu's famous poetic Tao Te Ching starts with the words "A way that can be walked is not The Way."
• Realize that it has nothing to do with the intellect or scientific proof, but that of firsthand experiential verification.
• Realize that to truly know, rather than knowing ABOUT, involves BEING that which is to be known.
• Realize that the truth doesn't need the approval of the human ego in order to be truth. Absolute Truth already is what it is. It can't be created by the mind.
• Realize that because of karma, free will and reincarnation, EVERYTHING is perfect as it is, despite all the prevalent negativities in the world.
• Realize that everyone is simply being the level of "truth" that they are currently aware of, and that the truth is only for those who want it.
• Realize that people can't help being that which they are. "Forgive them, for they know not what they do."
• In The Words of Gandhi, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world", and "..lose yourself in the service of others".
• Realize that because everybody and everything is One, we change the world in far greater unseen ways as a result of what we ARE, compared to what we do.
• Realize that separation, duality, polarity and opposites do not actually exist. All is One, which is Self, which just Is.
• Realize that there is no duality of "love" and "evil". There are only varying degrees of the absence of Love/Truth.
• Realize that space, distance, form and time are illusions created by limited, relative and faulty physical senses and ways of thinking.
• Realize that the physical body and the autonomous random repetitive thoughts of the mind are not the real "me" at all.
• Realize that you are the Awareness that is aware of the mind and its comings and goings. The more it's watched, the more it disappears.
• Realize that everything and everyone is One. The observer and the observed are One. The knower and the known are One.
• A Course in Miracles says "...you both HAVE everything and ARE everything."
• Realize that there is no duality, no opposites and no polarity. Nothing can exist outside of Existence, otherwise it wouldn't exist. All is God/Self/Buddha/Atman.
• Realize that even what the mind conceives and conceptualizes as being "nothing", void, unmanifest or formlessness, is still within Existence.
• In the highly evolved The Zen Teaching of Huang Po on the Transmission of Mind, it says "It is an existence which is no existence, a non-existence which is nevertheless existence. So this true Void does in some marvelous way 'exist'."
• Realize that there can only be varying degrees of things within Existence, like degrees on a thermometer.
• Realize that there is no individuality; no "you", "me", "this", "that", "here", "there", "inner", "outer", etc.
• Realize that there is no individual "me", "myself", "mine" or "I."
• Realize that there is no "doer" doing anything, because that would imply there is an "individual" to do something.
• Realize that since All is One, there can be no "other", which means All is Self, or All is I.
• Realize that Enlightenment happens by ITSELF when the little self is left to fall away like a disrobed peice of clothing.
• Realize that there is absolutely NOTHING to be gotten, grasped, gained, obtained or attained because The Absolute/Self/Buddha/God already Is.
• Realize that Awareness, Consciousness and knowing don't require words, concepts, thoughts or thinking.
• Realize that EVERYTHING is an irrelevant concept. All thought and thinking is essentially worthless because Silent Awareness is all-knowing.
• It's really just as "simple" as losing interest in all thought and thinking, right now, and not identifying thoughts as "me", right now.
• Realize that without the ego/mind interfering, everything just IS. Nothing more, nothing less. All perceptions, views, opinions, beliefs, likes and dislikes are irrelevant.
• Realize that The Absolute is not subject to change and even "Is" is an irrelevant concept.
• Realize all of this... but not with words and concepts. Just let go

When he arrived back at his palace, he complained that his feet were very painful, because it was the first time that he went for such a long trip, and the road that he went through was very rough and stony. He then ordered his people to cover every road of the entire country with leather. Definitely, this would need thousands of cows’ skin, and would cost a huge amount of money.
Then one of his wise servants dared to tell the king, “Why do you have to spend that unnecessary amount of money? Why don’t you just cut a little piece of leather to cover your feet ?”

Lao Tzu asked his disciples to go and inquire why this tree had not been cut. They went and asked the woodcutter and they said, "This tree is absolutely useless. You cannot make anything out of it because every branch has so many knots in it—nothing is straight. You cannot use it as fuel because the smoke is dangerous to the eyes. This tree is absolutely useless; that's why we haven’t cut it."
The disciples came back and told Lao Tzu. He laughed, "Be like this tree. If you are useful you will be cut and you will become furniture in somebody’s house. If you are beautiful you will be sold in the market, you will become a commodity. Be like this tree, absolutely useless, and then you will grow big and vast and thousands of people will find shade under you."

Just then, there was a death in an Indian family living in that neighborhood and the members of the family were weeping. The moneylender asked the Indian why his countrymen were weeping. The Indian replied that it was a custom in his country to weep when there was a death in the family.
The moneylender asked again, "And what do you do when there is a birth in the family?"
The Indian said, "Then we rejoice."
The moneylender said, "Then, if you are the sort of person who rejoices when receiving a thing but weeps when you have to return it, I certainly won’t lend you any money!"

Once four businessmen set out on a trip carrying firearms for protection. They met a holy man on the way, who warned them not to go that way as it was dangerous. They did not listen to him and said that they were well-equipped to face any danger. As they went farther, they found a bar of gold lying on the ground. Rejoicing at their find, they wrapped it up in a piece of cloth with the idea of dividing it among themselves.
As night fell, two of them went to a neighboring village to buy some food, while two stayed behind. When they had gone, those who stayed behind felt tempted to keep the bar for themselves and conspired to shoot the other two when they returned with the food.
The two who had gone to the village had a hearty meal in a cafe; while returning with the food for the other two; they also succumbed to the temptation of keeping the bar for themselves and plotted to do away with their friends. Therefore they mixed poison with the food they were taking back to them.
When they returned with the food, the other two shot them dead. They were hungry, so they at once devoured the food brought for them. They fell asleep, never to wake again!
Next morning the same holy man passed by on his way to the river for his daily bath. He found the four lying dead, and the bar of gold wrapped in a cloth. He threw the gold into the river so that it might not do further mischief.

At one stage a man called Bala was killed and his wife Tara felt very sad. Rama, who was responsible for the death of this man, was present. He did not want to kill the man and cause the woman grief, so he wanted to console her. He asked what it was that gave her so much sorrow, whom did she really love, who was the real man she wanted union with? Was it the physical man she loved, the subtle man, or the true Self himself? So Tara had to think. Rama said that if she loved the physical man, he was still right in front of her, and she could still love him, but if she loved the true Self of this man, then as it was quite certain that the Self lived all the time everywhere, could she not see that his Self was within her Self. Was there no unity? Had she forgotten him? Tara understood the question and the situation. She said that she certainly loved the Self, not the body, and with this came the understanding that she had not lost her husband, only the living body which anyway had to go one day.

A Zen Master lived the simplest kind of life in a little hut at the foot of a mountain. One evening, while he was away, a thief sneaked into the hut only to find there was nothing in it to steal. The Zen Master returned and found him.
"You have come a long way to visit me," he told the prowler, "and you should not return empty handed. Please take my clothes as a gift."
The thief was bewildered, but he took the clothes and ran away. The Master sat naked, watching the moon.
"Poor fellow," he mused, "I wish I could give him this beautiful moon."

A zen master took his 3 students to the banks of the river. 'Stay here until you have learned to cross the river without getting wet'. When the students did not return over the next several days the Zen master went to the river to check on them. 'Show me what you have learned about crossing the river', he demanded. The students admitted they were unable to accomplish the task. The Zen master told them he would demonstrate and immediately waded into the river wearing his robes which became soaking wet. After crossing the river the Zen master said, 'I have crossed the river without getting wet, for I am that which is eternal and unchangeable. I cannot get wet, and water does not effect me'
This is all great... except that it is only one side of the coin.... On the other side of the 'oneness and emptiness' is the 'many and the individual'. Thus the following Zen story
A zen student came in to meet with his teacher after many hours of meditation. The Zen master asked him what he had learned. The student replied, "The truth of who I am is that I am One with All that Is, I Am the Emptiness that is undying, unchanging, and infinitely vast." The Zen master struck the student hard with his Zen stick upon the head. As the student rolled on the ground in agony the Zen teacher said,"If you are the vast emptiness that it unchanging and infinite then why are you experiencing pain?" You have only understood part of the truth!
When you have realized the Vast Infinite Oneness that you truly are ... then you again enter into the marketplace as one of the many. This is the true trip... to the top of the mountain and back down again.

Hi Eternal_One, thanks for your effort.
Can I also have a calibration and a reading - 28/10
Hello skamandar, I got 439.
28/10
Those on the 28/10 life path are here to work through issues combining
material success and creative energy, applying their creative energy and intuitive
gifts in service of others, guiding with authority and compassion.
Guidelines and Recommendations
• Express and clear anger toward authorities; then assume your own authority.
• Exercise daily with strength and vigor.
• Move through insecurity to get where you're going.
• Find ways to use your creativity and inner gifts.
Useful Questions
1. Reflect on the following questions:
• How can I apply my creative energy to make good money, doing what I love, serving other people?
• How do I feel about authority? my own and that of others?
• When do I feel strong and independent?
• Do I sometimes try to manipulate or control others?

This is interesting. I wonder if your calibration can fluctuate immensly depending upon event's and emotions. Jesus felt much sorrow at points in his life as have other so called enlightened beings. I might calibrate at 300 in one point and 800 in another point possibly due to my walking in the right energy stream at any given time. I have done readings on others, soul healings, and other energetic work, but my own self workings tend to be in truth seeking, watching, melding with oneness, and examining my own feelings when they do not line up with my own heartfelt knowing to walk in peace and love despite another's actions. In those moments, I try to decide what I am feeling loss, ego, competitive about and let it go. Humility or humbleness of spirit has never been easy for me and the older I get the more I realize how easily we can go off "path" and slip into normal reactions to events rather than thoughtful responses to them.
I'd be curious where I score today Eternal one. I will probably ask next friday to see if it changes as there is always a change on friday's which I generally have to struggle, but am trying to not invest my energy into the repeating situation. So, thanks for the reading and I invite others to do so as well as it would be interesting to see how we each receive the information.
Thanks in advance.

But I was given a hand and I stood up immediately - hence the huge difference (almost 200 points)

But I was given a hand and I stood up immediately - hence the huge difference (almost 200 points)
And I felt the difference big time!!
I'd say big jumps are likely these days - especially now, due to the intense nature of the times we are living in and the energies involved.
Imagine going through all this sh*t and not waking up - how annoying would that be - LOL

Some individual fluctuate heavily, some rarely. It depends the individual. Some are rollercoaster like, others are rock stable. But yes the intensity of catalysts is such that huge jump are common those days/week/months :)
I am getting 606 for you.

Dead on! My present vibrational level, which shifts between polarizations every few hours, is right between transfiguration and illumination. Your accuracy is impressive.

Hello Eternal_One,
I love your thread and your wonderful compilation of inspiring little stories and teachings. Thank you for this gift.
And I appreciate the work of Hawkins. I've discovered his books in 2003 and did a bit of calibrating then but was never sure
if I did it right and so I left it. For some reasons in early July this year I started calibrating again and felt much
more confident about my kinesiological skills. Would you be so kind and calibrate me so that I can check with my
own results? Thank you in advance, Karin

Carolin mentioned that after having her heart block removed from JoshuaM, she did second calibration, showing slight increase.
I had my heart block removed too...
I wonder if you wold like to satisfy my curiosity and do a second calibration?
This summer for me was a big turning point in emotional en creative life as well. (hart block removed also + pineapple activation+ significant step into giving healing)
im also curious, could you give me a second calibration?
greetings from Holland!

Hello everyone,
I am not going to continue this thread here.
However for those who are interested, I have started my own website, and intend to do some group & private teachings in the near future.
The calibration thread is moved there too, so you can ask for a calibration there.
A forum on spirituality is running.

Many blessings to all of you. :)

The problem is I used to have those kind of threads pretty much on a lot of different forum. It started to get very tedious for me to keep up with everything.
On some place, one of my thread suddenly disappeared after hundred thousand of views without any kind of warning. You can surely understand the reason why I started my own forum.
And I can't really do much beside just 'giving you a number'. There are some limitation on what I can do to help people on their spiritual path on a place that is not 'my own'.
I want to introduce and share more things than just giving you a number, but actually try to provide you enough motivation, spiritual materials, techniques to help you to walk the path. All of those freely.
