I read about this very recently. I live with an NPD( Narcissistic Personality Disorder). Is this, in any way, a connection? Can anyone steer me in a direction of research? Any help is greatly appreciated,

Thank you,

Helen

One of the best directions for research will be your past.
Go back to your childhood and try to find out since when you have NPD and why you got it.

When you see how you got it, understand it, don't fight it.

I already know why I got the NPD. My failure because of fear to speak up when my father was sexually abusing me at twelve years old. He was in the army and an alcoholic during my childhood. He apologized to me in later years, and after my mom passed, we bacame best friends. He had stopped drinking and got "religion." Do you think he may have been an OP?

Do OP's really exist? I can't get that in my head. I do not realy know anything about the subject, and I do not even know where to start researching it,

I have been reading the links you gave ponda. and it seems that all PD's and NPD's are OP's. I have been with my NPD for 18 years and I can tell you I am not the person I was when we got into a relationship. Right after we met, my gut feeling tried to tell me to run the other way. It was such a strong feeling, I cannot even describe it adequately. But I disregarded my intuition and at one point I even told god I knew what I was doing and would endure the consequences. Many times I felt my life force being drained and I am not that smiling all the time, happy-go-lucky person I used to be. Has anyone else been involved with a PD and felt like their world turned upside down?

Love and light,

Helen

Hi Helen,

I don't know if you got to this link:

http://www.montalk.net/matrix/157/spiritless-humans

From the link

Psychopaths, Sociopaths, and Narcissists

The more extreme manifestations of an absence of spirit is known in psychology as psychopathic, sociopathic, or narcissistic personality disorders. Spirited people who fit this condition are misguided and held hostage by their egos, but they can be rehabilitated. Instead of lacking empathy, their empathy is either suppressed or displaced. These are not true psychopaths, but spirited people with personality disorders.

True psychopathy and sociopathy, however, cannot be cured because something is fundamentally flawed at the core of such persons. They lack empathy and remorse altogether, and these qualities cannot be recovered because they were never there to begin with. The incurable nature of psychopathy is an accepted fact in psychology. The cause is believed to be an abnormality in the pain and fear centers of the brain. Even so, without the balancing influence of spirit, such abnormalities would introduce unchecked errors into the programming of the ego, which then runs rampant to the point of coming to the attention of the legal and medical systems. What the medical system can diagnose is only the extreme and sloppy manifestation of a condition that is more widespread throughout the population. Other spiritless people with properly functioning egos are better at keeping their lack of empathy and remorse camouflaged under more refined social programming.

Also i think you might find this Red Ice Creations interview interesting regarding psychopaths. There are some more links on the page and you can listen to the interview.

Thomas Sheridan - The Labyrinth of the Psychopath & The Intraspecies Predators
June 26, 2011

Thomas Sheridan is an artist, writer and musician from Ireland. His first major book Puzzling People: The Labyrinth of the Psychopath, is a first-person account of the cheats, the charlatans, the liars, the neglectful parents, abusive teachers, two-faced politicians and their Psychopathic Control Grid, tyrannical bosses and colleagues from hell we have all encountered, including the lying lovers who use us then lose us in an instant. Puzzling People takes a look at how the minds of psychopaths work and why, and focuses on what you can do to survive and thrive and ultimately escape forever. In the first hour of this interview, Thomas will talk about the individual psychopath. He'll talk about their consciousness, drive and tactics and will share a personal story of his experience with a psychopath. Thomas will tell us how psychopaths serve as evolutionary triggers and what we need to do to break free of them. He says we are at the cusp where the psycho control grid either tightens or loses control because of awareness. Topics discussed: moral insanity, internal chaos, pathology, invented personas, playing on pitty, intraspecies predator, spiritual parasite, the R-complex, managers, promoters, the enlightenment, shadow projection, Joseph Campbell, neurosis, Darwinism and more.

Thank you Ponda for posting the links to the Montalk site. He is working mostly alone and his output is steady but slow. That said, every post of his is another trip into higher consciousness that addresses the forces that actually work against us here. It all the valid concepts of love and light stuff with the nitty gritty details of psychic self defense and why you need to know about it and use it. Much of the unnecessary in our lives comes from being in relationship with OP types and us not realizing what we need to do.

We powerlessly stay in hells that have out doors and then wonder why we are miserable.

His site is one of the most empowering sites on the web.

It is interesting to note that he closed down his forum section four and a half years ago. He probably figured it would be easier for people to find the gems he offers without the noise, disinfo and dysfunction that accompanies any forum.
