I know Maia - when I first listened to it which was a while ago - it was what first gave me a whole new perspective on meat eating.

I wondered if those pigs (who are very close to us genetically) would feel the same emotional pain as I would at having their families and friends rounded up and carted off to the slaughter house. The fear they might feel, the hopelesness.

We buy the stuff without even thinking about it.

Then I saw someting horrid on you tube about a slaughterhouse and I just cannot eat meat any more. My conscience simply won't allow it. So, I'm glad I saw that vid because I am now one more person no longer buying into that system.

(I also wonder at the 'food chain' idea - and wonder if it's a little bit like our model of human history.)

Just to say - Love listening to Alex Collier. I think I've listened to most of is stuff about now.
