View Full Version : Why is Time Speeding Up

More and more frequently people are suggesting that time is speeding up. We hear people saying things like “I never seem to have enough time to get everything done anymore” or “where has the time gone to”. The years are certainly flying by faster than ever and there is a scientific reason why time is speeding up.
There are also a number of reasons why we are changing so rapidly and it is all related to time speeding up. Human beings are becoming more consciously aware and people are being drawn towards spirituality and personal development in greater numbers than ever before. Why is this happening?

Scientists discovered many years ago that the earth gives off a pulse. This pulse or frequency which has been likened to a heartbeat has been stable at approximately 7.8 cycles per second for thousands of years. However, since around the year 1980 the earth’s heartbeat began to speed up. It has currently been measured at 12 cycles per second but the most incredible thing is some scientists believe the earth will actually stop rotating when this pulse reaches 13 cycles per second. When the earth stops rotating on its axis it is believed that it will remain still for around 3 days and then start spinning in the other direction. This will cause a reversal in the magnetic field around the earth but what will happen after this point is unclear. At this point you are thinking one of two things. Either you are thinking this sounds pretty amazing or you simply cannot believe it. I’m kind of in the middle myself, I think it’s hard to believe but I’m prepared to keep an open mind. Since I have become interested in spirituality I have seen wonderful things happen in my life and because of this I believe almost anything is possible.

It is due to this increasing pulse rate that we feel as though time is speeding up. Why do we “feel” as though time is moving faster than it used to be? The reason is what we once perceived to be a period of 24 hours now feels like only 16 hours. Our clocks still move in seconds, minutes and hours and still click over a full day in 24 hours but due to the earths increased heartbeat, we perceive it to be only two thirds as long or a perception period of merely 16 hours

To live with continued acceleration and all it brings will take more than simply learning to manage better. It will involve a complete revision of our thinking about who we are, what we really want, and what life is all about. Hardly the most startling statement. As most of us are only too aware, change comes more and more rapidly. Technological breakthroughs spread through society in years rather than centuries. Calculations that would have taken decades are now made in minutes. Communication that used to take months happens in seconds. Development in every area is happening more and more rapidly

Although we can't forget there is the natural phenomena of time speeding up as one grows older, there is most definately something else going on. I also happen to think that we are beginning to toy around with interacting in different dimensions, practicing so to speak, mostly subconsciously. Just my own personal observation, absolutely zilch to back it up with.

I can give a reference that addresses this phenomenon, but I don't really understand how it works. It's cosmic in nature, and its basis is in the New Testament: "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved." Matt. 24:22. The ancient tractate of Pistis Sophia, (Gnosis... Nag Hammadi) which was written -- they think -- at the end of the second century A.D., speaks of a cosmic process that Jesus did that actually did shorten "their times and their periods." 1PS 27:7. If someone can throw light on how this cosmic process works, I would be as interested as anyone. (No intention of bringing Jesus into the conversation to offend anyone, it's the only point of reference I know about.)

As technology grows faster along with consciousness, time is running with it at a very fast pace.
Before technology existed, 24 hrs a day was plenty of time. Now its basically not enough. We need at least 30 hrs a day to say the least.
Enjoy the video by Terrence Mckenna with regards to time acceleration, this guy is awesome.

These words are generally understood (i.e. by different translators, in different languages) as simply the period being cut short.
In other words, the period in question could last longer, but it would be cut short.

I am not sure that it is such a widespread phenomenon. Many people are quick to nod in agreement if you suggest something of the kind (or, basically, anything, of any kind :)) to them; but if you quiz them in-depth, it turns out they are only superficially, if at all, aware of any such perceptions. Many simply like to agree with anything they hear from others often enough.

Personally, I have a... shall we say, peculiar interaction with time. Not to stray too far afield, I will only say that there have been occasions when its length felt unusually expansive, or simply out of whack. April felt like October, or vice versa; and it had nothing to do with the weather.
But rarely do I feel that it is speeding up or anything.

I like the ball and pole analogy, it made me keep picturing one of my favorite games growing up that I was really good at, teather ball.

"As time continues to speed up and as we move through the 4th dimension into the 5th dimension, when the earth stops rotating, our karma will come back to us in an instant. Those of us still not aware of this changing world or not prepared to accept it and who feel they can get away with treating others, themselves or nature unjustly will receive their due karma. This will mean before we move into a better world and a period of love there will be much chaos as all the negative karma comes back to those individuals or collective groups."

Is this the reason for increasing violence in the world? As we are getting closer to slipping into the next dimension are peoples karma coming back in the form of violence and destruction?

I read that every time there's an earthquake, it makes the earth spin alittle faster. So, just think about how many earthquakes are happening everyday now....Do you think we may be closer to 2012 than we're led to believe?

Dutch Sinse showed that there are so many eq's going on near PR. as well as all over the world. These ALL have got to be speeding up the Earth's rotation more and more. Heck, they won't tell us, but we may be in 2012 already...! Think about it...
