my sentiments, too, gio--there are some very intelligent, well-informed, and highly developed persons in this forum I feel grateful to have access to. I personally think its well worth sifting through less-polished input to gain the fine reconnaissance that's definitely here...

Humble greetings my friends!
A relatively new poster, here, pleading guilty to being French Canadian :canada: and hoping that his syntactic contortions and his juggling of words will not become a display of linguistic torture! :loco:
Earlier tonight, I wrote a comment in a rather inactive thread, with the following conclusion, which I feel would be a fitting contribution to this very friendly and active thread:
* * *
We all have a right to our own opinions (no matter how wrong, how correct or how volatile they might be) and I truly appreciate the whole spectrum of personal viewpoints that are expressed with integrity and reason and respect on this forum. Truth be told, I particularly cherish those that challenge me a little bit and that help me to widen my own horizons and to grow...
* * *
It is my understanding that the flags of preconceived notions, of fixed ideas and of close-mindedness can only be waved with pride... in the streets of deliberate ignorance.
Fortunately, I have found no such streets on the maps of this beautiful forum.
There is so much to explore, so much to learn, so much to share!
Discernment is essential, but let us keep the doors of our minds and the windows of our hearts... wide open!

" When we look at the world around us, particularly as portrayed in the media, many of us feel a sense of helplessness at our perceived inability to effect change. if you don’t make the attempt to effect the change you wish to see, by living it, speaking it, exemplifying it making that initial imperceptible effect, it is guaranteed that the “event” will not occur, at least as a result of your efforts (or lack thereof). Individuals can make change, significant to profound change, by making the decision to "act" and not just sitting around for somebody else to do something first."

It is lack of love for ourselves that inhibits our compassion toward others. If we make friends with ourselves, then there is no obstacle to opening our hearts and minds to others.

“Get Low,” the first feature directed by Aaron Schneider, is based on one of those true stories that seem indistinguishable from legend. In the late 1930s a man from East Tennessee named Felix Breazeale decided to give himself a funeral before he was even dead. It was, by all accounts, a lively affair, with musical entertainment and a raffle to attract the public, and it left behind a vapor trail of mystery. Who was this character? What was he thinking?

Forgiving is love's toughest work, and love's biggest risk. If you twist it into something it was never meant to be, it can make you a doormat or an insufferable manipulator. Forgiving seems almost unnatural. Our sense of fairness tells us people should pay for the wrong they do. But forgiving is love's power to break nature's rule...He who cannot forgive breaks the bridge over which he himself must pass.

this movie brings great insights into the new emerging Chinese cultural system...and the price and tolls placed upon them for their world economic success...?

"Back in the 1980s, the culture critic Marshall Berman wrote a brilliant book called All That Is Solid Melts Into Air. He argued that the great drama of modernity is the way that people go from being passive objects of modernization — mere tools of history — to subjects who struggle to define their own relationship to a world in which everything is changing.
Never has such change happened on a greater scale than in modern China. The different ways individuals deal with this is the subject of Last Train Home, a gorgeous new documentary by Lixin Fan, a Chinese filmmaker based in Montreal. Shot over three years, Last Train Home deals with an amazing social fact — every single Chinese New Year, 130 million migrant workers leave the cities and return home to their rural villages. The movie puts a human face on this migration by showing its affects on a single family..."

Latest Temblor An Interplate Quake: Meteorological Agency
Saturday, March 12, 2011
TOKYO (Nikkei)--The major earthquake that struck northeastern Japan on Friday had the hallmarks of an interplate quake, which occurs at the boundary between two tectonic plates.
At the area near the epicenter, the North American plate, on which part of the Japanese archipelago lies, slips under the Pacific plate. The temblor was likely triggered when the North American plate snapped upward, releasing the accumulated strain.
The earthquake occurred near the site of another tremor that shook Miyagi Prefecture on Wednesday, so the earlier quake may have been a foreshock, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
"There aren't many instances in which such a large earthquake occurs right after a magnitude 7-class quake," said an official at the agency. "This is a highly unusual case."
The agency warns that aftershocks registering around magnitude 7 could take place over the next month.
Major quakes have occurred off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture about every 40 years, the previous being a magnitude 7.4 temblor in 1978. Government experts had expected that one registering between 7.5 and 8 would hit, but the latest packed a wallop of magnitude 8.8.
The plate may have shifted over a stretch of several hundred kilometers along the fault on Friday, according to the agency, with some experts putting the figure at upwards of 400-500km.
"In last year's magnitude 8.8 earthquake in Chile, the fault is said to have moved over a span of about 800km, so the latest quake may be similar," said Kyoto University Professor Manabu Hashimoto.
Friday's interplate earthquake is different from the Great Hanshin Earthquake that rocked the Kobe area in 1995, which was an intraplate quake.

Here is a lovely song well remembered from my youth ~ and now, the words even more heart wrenching ~ our hearts ache for the people of Japan, even as we are awed by their reserve, their perseverance, their justifiable pride ~ i pray this horrible winter will pass, and hopefully Japan will rebuild their country ~ even as they mourn the loss of so many loved relatives and friends.
The Japanese never had their version of Elvis Presley or the Beatles but they did have an individual named, Sakamoto Kyu. An individual who has accomplished something big that no other Japanese has been able to accomplish. That is a #1 song (four weeks in Cashbox Magazine and three weeks in Billboard magazine) in it's native language in America and also to receive a "Gold Record" for selling one million copies. The song that helped propel Sakamoto was a song called "Ue o Muite Aruko" (I'll walk with my head up) known to many of you as "Sukiyaki". The song was not understood but it's catchy, upbeat tune was enough for American and fans in other countries to enjoy it. The song has been translated and re-done in many countries in their own language and it would seem this song would never be forgotten. In August 7, 1985, Sakamoto wanted to regroup with his fellow band members and make a comeback. Five days letter, Sakamoto was in a JAL Jumbo bound for Osaka which crashed into a mountain (which was the biggest disaster in Japanese Aviation History).

A story to warm your heart, for all my friends, especially MorningStar, and giovonni
Three Red Marbles
By W. E. Petersen
This story first appeared in the October 1975 Ensign Magazine
One day Mr. Miller was bagging some early potatoes for me. I noticed a small boy, delicate of bone and feature, ragged but clean, hungrily apprising a basket of freshly picked green peas.
I paid for my potatoes but was also drawn to the display of fresh green peas. I am a pushover for creamed peas and new potatoes.
Pondering the peas, I couldn't help overhearing the conversation between Mr. Miller and the ragged boy next to me.
"Hello Barry, how are you today?"
"H'lo, Mr. Miller. Fine, thank ya. Jus' admirin' them peas ... sure look good."
"They are good, Barry. How's your Ma?"
"Fine. Gittin' stronger alla' time."
"Good. Anything I can help you with?"
"No, Sir. Jus' admirin' them peas."
"Would you like to take some home?"
"No, Sir. Got nuthin' to pay for 'em with."
"Well, what have you to trade me for some of those peas?"
"All I got's my prize marble here."
"Is that right? Let me see it."
"Here 'tis. She's a dandy."
"I can see that. Hmmmmm, only thing is this one is blue and I sort of go for red. Do you have a red one like this at home?"
"Not zackley ... but almost."
"Tell you what. Take this sack of peas home with you and next trip this way let me look at that red marble."
"Sure will. Thanks Mr. Miller."
Mrs. Miller, who had been standing nearby, came over to help me. With a smile she said, "There are two other boys like him in our community, all three are in very poor circumstances. Jim just loves to bargain with them for peas, apples, tomatoes, or whatever. When they come back with their red marbles, and they always do, he decides he doesn't like red after all and he sends them home with a bag of produce for a green marble or an orange one, perhaps."
I left the stand smiling to myself, impressed with this man. A short time later I moved to Colorado but I never forgot the story of this man, the boys, and their bartering.
Several years went by, each more rapid that the previous one. Just recently I had occasion to visit some old friends in that Idaho community and while I was there learned that Mr. Miller had died. They were having his viewing that evening and knowing my friends wanted to go, I agreed to accompany them.
Upon arrival at the mortuary we fell into line to meet the relatives of the deceased and to offer whatever words of comfort we could. Ahead of us in line were three young men. One was in an army uniform and the other two wore nice haircuts, dark suits and white shirts ... all very professional looking.
They approached Mrs. Miller, standing composed and smiling by her husband's casket. Each of the young men hugged her, kissed her on the cheek, spoke briefly with her and moved on to the casket. Her misty light blue eyes followed them as, one by one, each young man stopped briefly and placed his own warm hand over the cold pale hand in the casket. Each left the mortuary awkwardly, wiping his eyes.
Our turn came to meet Mrs. Miller. I told her who I was and mentioned the story she had told me about the marbles. With her eyes glistening, she took my hand and led me to the casket. "Those three young men who just left were the boys I told you about. They just told me how they appreciated the things Jim 'traded' them. Now, at last, when Jim could not change his mind about color or size ... they came to pay their debt."
"We've never had a great deal of the wealth of this world," she confided, "but right now, Jim would consider himself the richest man in Idaho."
With loving gentleness she lifted the lifeless fingers of her deceased husband.
Resting underneath were three exquisitely shined red marbles.

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room
on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.
Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.
It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.
That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that
individual.
On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. 'Really?' she heard whispered. 'I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!' and, 'I didn't know others liked me so much,' were most of the comments.
No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with
themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.
Several years later, one of the students was killed in Viet Nam and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so mature.
The church was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the
coffin.
As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. 'Were you Mark's math teacher?' he asked. She nodded: 'yes.' Then he said: 'Mark talked about you a lot.'
After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher.
'We want to show you something,' his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket 'They found this on Mark when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it.'
Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him.
'Thank you so much for doing that,' Mark's mother said. 'As you can see, Mark treasured it.'
All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, 'I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home..'
Chuck's wife said, 'Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding
album.'
'I have mine too,' Marilyn said. 'It's in my diary'
Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. 'I carry this with me at all times,' Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: 'I think we all saved our lists'
That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never see him again.
The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will
be.
So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and
important. Tell them, before it is too late.
If you've received this, it is because someone cares for you and it means there is probably at least someone for whom you care...
If you're 'too busy' to take those few minutes right now to forward this
message on, would this be the VERY first time you didn't do that little
thing that would make a difference in your relationships?
Remember, you reap what you sow. What you put into the lives of others comes back into your own.
May Your Day Be Blessed As Special As You Are.

this is neat...found this today...from Mark Memmott
"If you haven't seen it yet, and have 120 seconds to spare, we recommend watching SF to Paris In Two Minutes, a clever creation from entrepreneur/artist/photographer Nate Bolt.
It has, as they say, gone viral since he put it on YouTube on April 1 — in part because of the cool views of an aurora borealis that he captured from his seat aboard an Air France flight.
Bolt told ABC News that "I had no idea the northern lights were going to occur." He took about 2,400 photographs during the flight."
now watch this...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j36Erxd5rc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j36Erxd5rc
"I shot a photo roughly every two miles between take-off in San Francisco and landing in Paris CDG to make this airplane time lapse. More of these wacky time lapses at http://beepshow.com Shot with a 5d2, a time-lapse controller, and a 16mm - 35mm, mixed with some iPhone shots. The flight path from SF to Paris goes well over greenland and the arctic circle, where you can see "northern" lights from all sides of the plane, which explains why I could shoot them facing South.
Big thanks to the folks at http://uxlondon.com for inviting me to europe to speak - if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have made the trip. The music is a modified template of "Gain" used with permission from DETUNE ltd. denkitribe http://soundcloud.com/denkitribe/gain - I created this arrangement on the Korg iMS20 iPad App, and it's my first custom score. Edits and pans in After Effects CS5 and iMovie.
The photos during take-off and landing are all computer models and totally rendered because I would never use an electronic device during times when the FAA prohibits them. I did get lucky and have a whole row to myself to setup the tripod and gear.
Thanks to my neighbors for not minding an SLR click every 2 to 30 seconds for 11 hours, and thanks to the whole Air France flight crew for being insanely friendly and allowing me to shoot. Thanks to @ztaylor for showing me the Korg iMS20 iPad App. Thanks to @jayzombie and the #nerdbird on the way to SXSW this year for helping me come up with the idea. Thanks to @somnabulent for the idea of live scoring. Thanks to you for actually reading this far. You are a champion."

The Bhagavad-gita is heavy stuff...But it's all good ~ isn't it ~ when seeking ones own spiritual truth. Maybe just the process of waking up and then acknowledging ones own incarnations responsibilities, will initiate the action needed in dissolving this tangled forest of illusion we live upon? But perhaps the simplistic notion of loving one another (unconditionally) with no attachments ~ will truly help hasten the transformational process for us all ~ as well ?

The Story of the Goose & Deer
http://www.canada.com/technology/4589328.bin?size=620x400
It's a scene right out of a Disney movie, mother goose has lost her lifelong mate and is now left alone to create and tend to her nest in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, NY. She spends the day sheltering her eggs from the cool spring air inside an empty urn she has chosen as home.
The loss of her male partner and guardian now makes her vulnerable to any would-be predators that choose to approach the nest. But, in an unlikely twist of fate, an adult deer has befriended the mother goose, taking over the role of protector.
This animal arrangement is highly unusual, since there's no known way that a deer and goose can communicate. Yet somehow the deer has come to understand the need of the nesting mother.
The deer now spends its days near the urn acting as guardian when needed. As passersby approach the area the deer stands and places itself between the person and the nesting goose. On one occasion the deer even took a protective stance attempting to fend off a barking dog near the area of the urn.
Craig Cygan owner of Borders on Patrol, a company hired to move the goose flock from time to time says a goose would normally attempt to fend off the deer with loud honks and raised wings especially near the nest. This one, he says seems to like the company.
How this nature story ends is anyone's guess, but now we can all watch as the goose and deer spend time together.
Here's a little more information about the place the deer and goose call home.
Forest Lawn Cemetery was created by Charles Clarke with nature in mind, and was one of the first in the country to be designed with attention to a landscape plan. Today Forest Lawn remains a serene setting, providing sanctuary to wildlife and mankind alike. In addition to the goose and deer you may occasionally see rabbits and turkeys pass by as well as numerous winged species.
The goose and deer reside in the original portion of the cemetery which dates back to 1849. The urn in which the goose sits is in close proximity to the resting place of many individuals with ties to American history and culture. For instance, former United States President Millard Fillmore & the inventor of the jet airplane Lawrence Bell are just a short distance away, while the first African American woman to run for president Shirley Chisholm & Grammy winning recording artist Rick James are located just off the hill.

I was reading this very cool article, One Dream, Many Awakenings (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?3596-Up-At-The-Ranch-%28James-Gilliland-and-Trout-Lake%29&p=190910&highlight=kramer#post190910) in your "At the Ranch...." thread (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?3596-Up-At-The-Ranch-%28James-Gilliland-and-Trout-Lake%29) this paragraph just resonated so strongly with me.
"It is wonderfully encouraging to see what happens when we take risks to walk our own path. When we stick our neck out and go for what we know, the universe acknowledges and supports this. It can feel our presence. It can feel the divine algorithm inside us and naturally lends its momentum to us with the purpose of mutual healing. We heal it, it heals us. The universe often uses eloquent synchronicity to smooth the path and it is when this takes the shape of actual live, flesh & blood people, that this becomes particularly amazing. When very special parallel resonances line up, people can actually help each other on their paths. The intelligent coherent universe knows this and will place such people at key intersecting junctures so they can meet, share gnosis, support and inspire each other. The extraordinary relevance and specificity of these encounters is always a signature of this universal dynamic. It is most heartening."
I have recently had the opportunity to actually see this in action here at Avalon, and at Nexus.
This weekend as I was reading various threads I was able to see One Being moving through many people.

hello again giovonni, I just popped in to say I'm a BIG fan of everything Alison Krauss ever does. It was a surprise when she and Robert got together for a project because I used to be a Zep fan in my maddest days and I would never have imagined them working together but when they did I managed to see the connection that was there all the time.
I hope Alison's egolessness rubs of on Robert rather than the other way around.
Have you seen the film called "Down from the mountain"? It's a simple film of the preparation for and then the live show by a mixed group of artists in a Theatre in Nashville. It's a pure delight.

Superman Renounces [SPOILER] in 'Action Comics' #900
Apr 27th 2011 By: Laura Hudson
After recently undertaking a journey to walk -- not fly -- across the United States in the "Grounded" storyline and reconnect with the country and everyday Americans, Superman appears to be taking another step that could have major implications for his national identity: in Action Comics #900...
...Superman announces that he is going to give up his U.S. citizenship. Despite very literally being an alien immigrant, Superman has long been seen as a patriotic symbol of "truth, justice, and the American way," from his embrace of traditional American ideals to the iconic red and blue of his costume. What it means to stand for the "American way" is an increasingly complicated thing, however, both in the real world and in superhero comics, whose storylines have increasingly seemed to mirror current events and deal with moral and political complexities rather than simple black and white morality.
The key scene takes place in "The Incident," a short story in Action Comics #900 written by David S. Goyer with art by Miguel Sepulveda. In it, Superman consults with the President's national security advisor, who is incensed that Superman appeared in Tehran to non-violently support the protesters demonstrating against the Iranian regime, no doubt an analogue for the recent real-life protests in the Middle East. However, since Superman is viewed as an American icon in the DC Universe as well as our own, the Iranian government has construed his actions as the will of the American President, and indeed, an act of war.
http://www.blogcdn.com/www.comicsalliance.com/media/2011/04/superman-citizenship-1303916053.jpg
Superman replies that it was foolish to think that his actions would not reflect politically on the American government, and that he therefore plans to renounce his American citizenship at the United Nations the next day -- and to continue working as a superhero from a more global than national perspective. From a "realistic" standpoint it makes sense; it would indeed be impossible for a nigh-omnipotent being ideologically aligned with America to intercede against injustice beyond American borders without creating enormous political fallout for the U.S. government.
While this wouldn't be this first time a profoundly American comic book icon disassociated himself from his national identity -- remember when Captain America became Nomad? -- this could be a very significant turning point for Superman if its implications carry over into other storylines. Indeed, simply saying that "truth, justice and the American way [is] not enough anymore" is a pretty startling statement from the one man who has always represented those values the most.
It doesn't seem that he's abandoning those values, however, only trying to implement them on a larger scale and divorce himself from the political complexities of nationalism. Superman also says that he believes he has been thinking "too small," that the world is "too connected" for him to limit himself with a purely national identity. As an alien born on another planet, after all, he "can't help but see the bigger picture."
Do you think the shift to a more global role makes sense for Superman? If he really is going to renounce his U.S. citizenship in order to function as a more international figure, how do you think it will affect the character?

In my salad days in L.A. as an animation designer (Hanna-Barberra, Marvel, DC), I can tell you we artists were passionately politically active and aware. Comic books were a designated venue for this, but trust me, still very much subject to the influences of the market place. We artists used to rail against the 'bean counters' having way too much authority over what was changed, rewritten, edited out and what material got actually got produced/published. So often the creatives get identified with ideas and attitudes they very often don't rightly deserve.

"YOU CHOOSE"
Dearest Hearts,
As always, I pray you are well.
I know many of you are realizing that the constructs of the third dimensional world is truly losing its grip on you, and as a result many are dwelling in what some call the void, (and I have now decided to call, the glowing mystery). Looking closely once can see the twinkling of Light at the end of what has been a very long tunnel.
More than two decades ago, I heard what I call the Voice of God say to me that I would "learn to live like a mystic, and enjoy it." I would say we are all learning to live like mystics, and though it's not always enjoyable, it certainly takes the monotony and repetitiveness out of all of our lives as the constructs of time and our rigid patterns of behavior vanish.
With nothing tangible to lean on, there is something rather exciting (when it's not daunting) about leaning on the massive Invisible Energy that positions itself in the rarified air all around us, as we move through experiences we have no go-by for, and that demand we change our perceptions if we are to keep moving forward.
I've come to realize that changing my perceptions has become an everyday occurrence, vital to my well-being, and authentic self realization. In doing so, I have been stretched, and stretched myself far beyond my former comfort zones, giving my awareness the chance to become heightened and deepened. I have opened to deep meaning outcomes of experience, rather than surface ones and new lights are beginning to dawn on me.
With each new experience my question to myself is what do I choose to experience inside the experience I am having?
We are now able to easily enter into realms of our advanced state of consciousness, or as I teach it, into the Mind of God, where gleaning higher wisdom and moving energy wherever we wish it to go is a Masters game.
To choose to change every experience we are having into one we would prefer is the epitome of self realized consciousness.
The way this works is that each time you have a brand new experience, first hold that experience as sacred and fresh. Next, breathe into the experience, just noticing it. Then, find the vibration of neutrality inside of yourself before you step further into the experience.
Compare your experience to nothing of the past, and rush nowhere into the future with it. Finally, quietly ask yourself, the higher part of yourself, the God of yourself, "how do I choose to experience this experience?"
That question will begin to break the trance of former choices, presumptions and reactions. Patterns you've held for your lifetime will begin to melt, as you begin to embrace the Masters that you are, the powers that you have, and the true stewardship you hold for your life.
You choose. You are the Creator. You are able to move the energy in whatever direction you desire. As we conclude this cycle of time remember that you are no longer at the effect of anything. You are the effect, and you affect all outcomes.
Experience is always going to ask you to make choices. Use your powers wisely and choose up. Use your powers, not your reflexes of the past.
In this, the ninth wave of frequency, the conscious convergence and the year that illuminates everything, whatsoever you choose now, is going to greatly affect the experience you have next. Take your life slowly. Breathe.
As our new humans are being born, we are creating the foundation for our next incarnation, in the bodies we inhabit, in a new cycle of time on a more refined Planet of Earth.
We are in our very own formative years informing ourselves how to grow up as an individual and as a species in the context of the One.
Re-writing your life, as you would choose to have it, no longer told how you should have it, is your birthright. Experience is a lovely catalyst for the change you wish to be in the world. What will you choose for yourself? Your choosing is in your experiences.

being true to ones self...
If you teach people to keep their eyes upon what others think of them,
unthinkingly to lead the lives and hold the principles of the majority
of their contemporaries, you must discredit in their own eyes the
authoritative voices of their own souls. They may be docile citizens;
they will never be men and women. It is ours, on the other hand,
to disregard this babble and chattering of other people better and
worse than we are, and to walk straight before us by what light we have.
They may be right; but so, before heaven, are we. They may know;
but we know also, and by that knowledge we must stand or fall.
There is such a thing as loyalty to one's own better self; and from those
who have not that, God help me, how am I to look for loyalty to others?

Pure inspiration:
BzaDKky0VgI
There’s a whisper in the dark
As a new life comes to be.
Then a song begins to form
As it finds the harmony
With a chorus of sound
Of the world all around
Now it blends in the tune
Joining the endless song of life.
We shall never be alone
As we link our hearts in one
Joining voices from above,
All in the miracle of life.
Through the ages we will grow
Only time will ever know,
As our voices magnify,
All in the miracle of life.
Love plays along in our lives yet to come
As we join in the song of life.
Now the music starts to build
As the words begin to rhyme
Then another lends a tune
As their voices now combine
With the chorus of sound
Of the world all around
Now they blend in their tune
Sharing the endless song of life.
We shall never be alone
As we link our hearts in one
Joining voices from above,
All the miracle of life,
Through the ages we will grow
Only time will ever know,
As our voices magnify,
All in the miracle of life.
Love plays along in our lives yet to come
As we join in the song of life.

I was shopping at Nature's Oasis a few days ago and saw this card, A friend is someone who knows everything about us, and likes us anyway. Thought of you guys!!! :)
A friend gave be a book a long time ago, decades...LOL...I telling my age now, called a Token of Friendship. I keep it open on my kitchen counter to a recipe for Spicy Banana Bread.
I thought I would share this recipe with everyone here.
Friends and friends' children love when you bring this over--it can be eaten for breakfast, afternoon tea, or dessert.
2 cups flour . 1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda . 2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt . 1 cup mashed bananas
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon . 1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 teaspoon cloves . 1 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg . 1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup unsalted butter
Preheat oven to 350*F. Grease and flour a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Soften butter to room temperature.
Sift flour with the baking soda, salt, and spices.
Cream butter and gradually add sugar, beating until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with mashed bananas and orange juice, stirring only to blend.
Fold in nuts and vanilla.
Pour batter into greased loaf pan and bake one hour. Let cool 30 minutes in pan.
If you want to convert this to a vegan dish, then use egg substitute, and use an oil such as walnut oil, add 2 more tablespoons to keep the bread moist.
Enjoy. Love to all!!!

Reflections…
The Ten Commandments on How to Get Along with Other People
Keep skid chains on your tongue; always say less than you think. Cultivate a low, persuasive voice. How you say it often counts more than what you say.
Make promises sparingly, and keep them faithfully, no matter what it costs.
Never let an opportunity pass to say a kind and encouraging word to or about somebody. Praise good work, regardless of who did it. If criticism is needed, criticize helpfully, never spitefully.
Be interested in others, their pursuits, their work, their homes, and families. Make merry with those who rejoice; with those who weep, mourn. Let everyone you meet, however humble, feel that you regard him as a person of importance.
Be cheerful. Don't burden or depress those around you by dwelling on your minor aches and pains and small disappointments. Remember, everyone is carrying baggage.
Keep an open mind. Discuss - but don't argue. It is a mark of a superior mind to be able to disagree without being disagreeable.
Let your virtues speak for themselves. Refuse to talk of another's vices. Discourage gossip. It is a waste of valuable time and can be extremely destructive.
Be careful of another's feelings. Wit and humor at the other person's expense are rarely worth it and may hurt when least expected.
Pay no attention to ill-natured remarks about you. Remember, the person who carried the message may not be the most accurate reporter in the world. Simply live so that nobody will believe them. Disordered nerves and bad digestion are a common cause of back-biting.
Don't be anxious about the credit due you. Do your best, and be patient. Forget about yourself, and let others remember. Success is much sweeter that way.

In thirty-one meditations, he implores his readers with his usual pithiness to break through illusion the great obstacle to love.
"Love springs from awareness," de Mello insists, saying that it is only when we see others as they are that we can begin to really love. This task, however, is not easy. "The most painful act," he continues, "is the act of seeing. But it is in that act of seeing that love is born."
I picked up this book of meditations this morning and thought I would share it here. Anthony de Mello is Christian, he starts each meditation with a scripture, but his meditations are metaphysical, drawing your attention to how we create underneath the surface of our selves, by the perceptions we choose to hold as reality.
His meditations mirrors the work of the Essenes, and what Edgar Cayce speaks about in his readings.
Cayce said, if you want to be loved, be loving. If you want to have friends, by friendly. It's an interesting take on the subject of love and friendships.
Gio, sending you much love, and godspeed in your recovery. Grace to you, e

ok ~ manny
"how many friends do you have, true friends" ?
i been thinking about this and giving it much thought. i believe (for the most part) we all want to have true friends; but the quality of all (our) friendships truly depend on one's own intent and behavior towards these special others. If i project negative (disapproving) energies outward, i generally get an inharmonious response in return. It doesn't really matter, if it's an old or a new friend. This response usually happens to everyone. If individuals tolerate this behavior from you, they either want something from you or see something of themselves acting out (mirroring) from within you. Sometimes it takes a while for both parties to figure all this out. But i have found the ones that don't ask anything in return (other than to just love them with good intent) usually are the true friends. And note, if they keep coming back for more (of me) ~ they are true keepers for life !
So, in all humbleness my answer is... i apparently seem to have have more true friends than i probably deserve. :yes4:

But what about abuse? When someone is abusive, there really isn't much of a chance for the abused to change that person, is there. Even if a person was facing homelessness, that would be better than living under the abuse, wouldn't it. Yup.

May i please inquire my friend, in the context to the above post...what are you referring too ?
Love is the most important thing, I so agree. Abuse, it's a terrible thing to have to go through. I don't think abusers understand what love is. It's quite personal, really. When one is in a corner, and alone with very few choices to choose from, being homeless is better than the alternative. I'd rather be homeless.

Thank you Sygh for speaking of this...No companionably situation is ever worth enduring any kind of abuse... this comes from Maureen Moss via her World PUJA NETWORK newsletter
***********
"CLARITY OF INTENTION FOR ASCENSION"
(to be written and spoken on the Summer Solstice)
Dearest Hearts,
As always, I pray you are well.
I share this with all of you, as it has clarified for many in my class, "Birthing The Heart and Mind of God," their own clarity of intention for their personal ascension. And, it clearly calls forth many of the Great Masters to assist each. I suggest that this be done using the energy of the powerful Summer Solstice on June 21, 2011, an energy that when used consciously can take an idea or concept and spiral it into an action.
It is also the time to clarify, purify, and release all the remnants of lower consciousness and resistance that would interfere with the merging of your human and Divine bodies, and your human and Divine hearts. Concurrently it is a time of conscious, personal restructuring. Remember you are your Ascension made manifest. Remember you are the change that the world has long awaited, and as such your role in it is vital, regardless of how large or small you may perceive it, it is so.
For many, there are still more shadows coming up from the bottom of your emotional barrels. Allow whatever needs to, to rise up and move on in love and light. Nothing is wrong. You are doing beautifully. You are courageous, and honored and loved by all of the Cosmos. Keep going, you are in the midst of your glorious re-birth, your ascension.
Everything unlike who you truly are is more than ready to depart from your current reality, so you can hold more Light, preparing a place for your transcendent Self to join you here on Earth, at long last. Let it go, with joy. How beautiful it will be to no longer react to life from an emotional state, though bear witness to it from a neutral state. Liberation!
Each and every one of you has done a brilliant job living out the many parts of your human self that you committed to over hundreds of lifetimes. Now, no more pieces and parts. Now comes the ascended and Divine you, unified. Now, no more polarity as you move yourself into higher bandwidths of energy. Here comes the clear, well intentioned, and cohesive Divine you.
You are like the butterfly in its final stages preparing to emerge, surrendering to a complete transformation, as it becomes clear, not on where it's going, but who it is becoming. This is a potent year, and a potent month of June, with three eclipses and a summer solstice when the final stages of who we were, transcends into who we shall be. This month sets the stage for the 11-11-11. Liberation!
Fear nothing, resist nothing, accept everything and most importantly love and meet yourself where you are at, along with all others. Be patient with yourself, and all others. Be clear that we are each going through our own transitions and we must love each other through the final stages of release and re-creation.
Since we are in such a potent energy field this month, I invite you to write your own Clarity of Intention Statement for your personal ascension (example below.) Write down what your Ascension looks like, feels like, is like and then read it, ten times in the morning, ten times in the daytime and ten times before sleep.
Know it to be true, trust it to be so, and act lovingly in accordance every single day until you become your own Ascension made manifest on the Earth Plane.
Before you write your intention use the invocation below to power it up significantly, and to have witness to it. (Please feel comfortable to add or change any of the names in the Invocation that you resonate strongly with.)
Invocation
From The Light of God That I AM, From The Love of God That I AM, From The Power of God That I AM, I Call Forth, Divine Creator Source, Lord Melchizedek, Lord Metatron, Adamus, St. Germain, Lady Nada, Lord Sananda, Mother Mary, Quan Yin, Archangel Michael, the Divine Essence of our Beloved Mother Earth, and my I AM Presence.
I invite each of you as witness to my Intention of Clarity for my personal Ascension.
I invite you to surround me with your field of energy and lay over me the Ascended Heart and Mind of God. I open myself wide, to receive.
I ask each of you, along with your teams and legions of Light, to Overlight me as I make my final adjustments to clear, love, strengthen, surrender and deeply honor myself during these closing times of one cycle and the opening of another. I open wide, to receive.
I ask to be gently reminded in each moment that I stray from the Mind of God, so I may course correct myself with compassion for myself and all others.
I ask to feel each moment that I stray from the Heart of God, so I may know that feeling, and then, by my own initiative, to swell my heart to infinite and conscious God proportions regardless of any circumstance.
I ask that the vibration and frequency of the Creator Source, God, enter into my body now.
I ask that the vibration and frequency of my I AM Presence enter into my body now.
I ask that the vibration and frequency of all of my Highest Soul aspects on all levels of creation come into union, and enter into my body now.
I ask each of you, great Masters, to powerfully and lovingly hold the space for me to rise up to my greatest Self, free from the burdens of my former lower nature, so I may make my grand ascension by allowing the full descension of the Great Divine to enter inside of my being now.
With deep appreciation I accept your love, your support, your guidance and wisdom as I take your vibrations deeply into the temple of my being now.
And so it is, and so I let it be.
(Please take a breath, and feel and honor who and what you have called forth.)
Statement of Clarity (Example)
I _______________ (please state your name) with full intention, and open and humble heart, stand before each of the Beings of Light called forth asking to gracefully and clearly receive all that I require to make my full ascension.
I clarify that I will resist nothing from this day forth. I commit to looking deeply at each experience from this day forth as a blessing sent to assist me in making my ascension. I will identify the blessing, and embrace the blessing, consciously.
I clarify that as I enter into a new cycle of time, I will consciously build my vibration of love, peace, tranquility, joy, multi-dimensional awareness and Divine capabilities of co-creation and collaboration through my own efforts and love, and with your help.
I clarify that I intend to walk this earth clothed as a human though living as a compassionate Master.
I clarify that I will Steward my energy field consciously toward myself and all others from this day forward.
I clarify that I will consciously merge my Divine Feminine with my Divine Masculine in a sacred ceremony of balance and harmony, love and honor.
I clarify that I with deep love accept my earthly body fully and will consciously fill it with Light, Love, and Peace, daily.
I clarify that I will fulfill all of the prerequisites required to birth the Heart and Mind of God in me to attain the highest levels of unconditional mind and heart ever known to humankind.
I clarify that I am willing to release my structured mind in each moment and consciously place myself in the flow of potentials that exist for me in God's Mind.
I clarify that my ascension is of the greatest importance to me and that nothing will distract me from its pursuit.
Humbled and honored by the presence of my Creator Source, great Masters and our Beloved Mother of Earth, a Divine Goddess, and my very own I Am Presence, I set out this day on a new journey, a focused journey, a dedicated journey, a liberated journey that will free not only me but this Earth and many more of humankind.
I clarify that I am indeed a God in human form, and from this day forward I shall live as such.
May all experience that I need to complete my journey here on Earth be released in grace and that my intention be heard in all of Heaven and in all of Earth.
Beloved I Am. Beloved I Am. Beloved I Am.
Please take a breath and rest for a few moments in the silence, in the vibration, in the energy, in the momentum, in the flow.

Lately ~ whenever i find myself wallowing in the muck of the ego...
i am prompted to carefully reexamine my actions and pay heed to my own purposeful mission (intent) upon this plane.
Note, these teachings from the Buddha ~ always put me back on track.
Karma is a Sanskrit word that literally means "action." The law of karma describes the connection between actions and the resulting forces, as follows: wholesome actions lead to wholesome states while unwholesome actions lead to unwholesome states, individually as well as collectively.
Moral quality of volitional acts determines karma.
The law of karma states that there is a connection between the moral quality, the level of skill in volitional actions, and the resulting states. What we are is determined largely by what we thought, said and did in the past, while what we are thinking, saying, and doing now will form our future. The karma of past, present, and future events are connected by the law of cause and effect.
The ethical dimension.
One has to account for (un)wholesome actions and (un)wholesome states. Action springs from volition, which springs from intention, which springs from thought, and so forth. The quality of actions can be described in ethical terms, simply as either good or bad, or both good and bad, or indifferent. There are various grades of ethical qualities; and most people have an intuitive understanding that enables them to discern between good and bad, although the discerning ability depends on the person's state of mental development. A wise person at a high level of mental development can clearly discern mental activities and actions in an ethical dimension, while a deluded person has difficulties or is even unable to do so.
Right Intention
While right view refers to the cognitive aspect of wisdom, right intention refers to the volitional aspect, i.e. the kind of mental energy that controls our actions. Right intention can be described best as commitment to ethical and mental self-improvement. Buddha distinguishes three types of right intentions: 1. the intention of renunciation, which means resistance to the pull of desire, 2. the intention of good will, meaning resistance to feelings of anger and aversion, and 3. the intention of harmlessness, meaning not to think or act cruelly, violently, or aggressively, and to develop compassion ~ for all life forms.
Rebirth
As long as there is delusion, greed, and aversion, and as long as passions are not extinguished, we generate karma. Because we eventually accumulate (un)materialized karma, there is a next lifetime in which the accumulated karma will take form. Only when all accumulated karma is realized and the generation of new karma is calmed, one can enter the stream that leads to Nirvana. This process continues until Nirvana is reached, which signifies the cessation of rebirth and, hence, the end of suffering.
For (me) what matters must now is to break free from this wheel of reincarnated life and hence return to the true oneness in being...
If we imagine the world as an ocean, we are like the ripples on the ocean. Formations like ripples and waves occur, because of wind, tides, and other kinetic forces. In the Buddhist analogy, the universe is in motion due to karmic forces. A ripple, a wave, or a billow may seem as an individual entity for a moment, creating the illusion that it has a self, but it is gone in the next moment. The truth is that all individuals are one...By understanding and coming to terms with all this, i sense the final lessons are learned and the state of unconditional love is again boundless.

i am loving the music from this man :)
He's been around awhile...but i just discovered him recently;
his words and sentiments currently reflect and mirror my own in many ways.
It is also surprisingly ironic...the area where he filmed this video is along the the Snoqualmie River, at the edge of the Cascade Mountains.
The road he is driving on is very close to where i'm living right now...

Dear Giovoni and All,
I am a newbie here and have read many posts on friends. Thank you for starting this thread as it touched me right away. I live alone and have not felt Oneness very much on my spiritual path and without having a ""pity party" will just say the journey has at times been too much. Coming to this forum is a dream come true, as I have educated myself a lot via Camelot and other sites about what is really going on and raising my Consciousness. However, without family or friends in my life it has been difficult believe I am not connected to anyone and want to share. The people around me are asleep but I am always polite and kind and go do my grocery shopping.
If anyone would like to be my friend, I would love that so much. I am an only child and because of circumstances have grown into an introvert or perhaps I am just a deep thinker because when I am with someone who is on a similar path I love to talk and share. I do not know ho to work the fonts and other things and clip my posts etc . I am computer illiterate. This looks like the yahoo fonts I use when I email but nothing comes out the same when I start to type so I will just type like this.
I have enjoyed reading so many subjects here so far but when I saw this topic this morning it was great because I went for a short walk and became so tired and felt so bad that I had to come home and be alone again. I am trying to raise my Consciousness and have one friend in a nearby state that bought me this computer when my other one died and I was so discouraged as I know better than to watch TV anymore unless it is a good documentary or inspirational movie but the computer is my access to Truth and others. I guess I have gone on too long but thank you for beginining this post as it has given me an avenue to introduce myself and make friends. Blessings to all of you.

Four immeasurable's ~ from the Buddha
Loving kindness has the capacity to bring happiness to others without demanding anything in return. Compassion has the capacity to remove the suffering of others without expecting anything in return. Sympathetic joy arises when one rejoices over the happiness of others and wishes others well-being and success. Practice non-attachment to overcome prejudice. Non-attachment is the way of looking at all things openly and equally. Do not reject one thing only to chase after another.
This is because that is ~ myself and others are not separate :)
Dear Giovonni,

Dear Giovonni,
Thank you my new friend for posting such beautiful videos. I let me mind wander as I awoke from a nap and became sad. When I got on the site I was led to Friends and the love you express and share with everyone is so beautiful. I love Bocelli and the song he sang, and Stefano, the black horses which I remember scenes from The Black Stallion, and so much love that I had to thank you. There is a lot of heavy learning available to us here and growth, but I think we need a break of humor or this friendship page to find love, solace and companionship with our like minded brothers/sisters. I really love this place and all the people here.
Thank you all for contributing to this page also. It made me feel so much better and I must remember to come back every now and then and refresh myself, especially when I let my wandering mind get me down. Love to all the beautiful Beings here and to you Giovonni.
With Loving Gratitude,

i came upon this essay today... It is on love and relationships between two human beings...
Even though it comes via a Buddhist enlightened one... i still sense it holds much truth for all who gather here...
No matter what path one chooses to walk forth upon.
Blessings Gio
_______________________________
THE GREAT MIRROR
By The Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche
"Our so-called life, from the Buddhist point of view, is simply experience, and experience is relationship. Put simply, we don’t have independent existence. We cannot exist without depending on others. When I go to the grocery store and buy an apple, I might feel very independent. I walk in, grab an apple, pay with my own money, and go home and eat by myself. But in fact I can only enjoy this apple because it is connected to so many people and conditions: the store owner, the shelf stockers, the truckers, the farmers, all the way back to the seed and the Earth. There's so much connection, all the time.
Of all of the relationships we have in this interdependent experience of ours, the most direct, most emotional, and most apt to bring great joy and suffering is a close, intimate relationship with another human being. We give it great, special prominence in our mind, but it helps to remember that it is the same as the apple. It’s about interconnection, interdependence.
From a Buddhist point of view, relationship is a great mirror. It is the mirror in which we see ourselves, in which we discover ourselves. That mirror can be distorted. I remember the first time I saw myself in a funhouse mirror: “Oh, what happened to me? I’m all stretched out.” [laughter] The mirror can also be very clear. We can see ourselves and what we are up to so directly. That makes relationship a beautiful experience.
When we sit by ourselves, it’s easy to enjoy our mental games, fantasies, ego trips, and so forth. We can go on and on and on without any problem. But try that with your partner! Then here comes the mirror. The mirror will reflect and show you your ugly ego trips. A mirror is very neutral—it just reflects. It doesn't take any sides. It is just a mirror for both of us.
In this mirror, we discover ourselves—our tendencies, our weaknesses, and our strengths. We discover our good qualities as well as our negative qualities. So this mirror becomes a very precious teacher for us, a very precious path. The mirror of relationship becomes a very precious teaching for us to discover who we really are and where we are on the path and in the world altogether.
This is a lot to take in, so our tendency is to see what we want to see in this relationship mirror. The problem with this approach in a close relationship is that two people are seeing two different things. If I want to see something and she wants to see something else, we're both seeing two different things. As a result, we're being thrown off from the balance, the benefit, the preciousness of the relationship, the mirror. We would rather idealize our relationship; we would rather escape. We would rather live in the future than in this very immediate present moment. But if we can practice being in this present moment, relationship can become a path and the mirror can be a great teacher.
In our relationship with another, we often misunderstand how we are connected. We may think we are two made into one, or we may think we are completely independent. My father taught me that a marriage or partnership, an intimate relationship with another human being, is like two rings coming together. You can illustrate it with your fingers. Make a ring with each hand, then join the rings together. There's a common space in the center. There is mutual responsibility, joy, and sharing, yet at the same time, we must understand there are also the two sides. There is not only the middle; individual space is also necessary.
If we try to overlap these two rings totally, we lose balance. There is a common bond, but there are also two individual mind streams. We must respect that and allow the other independence. The common space respects the individual space. We cannot overpower the other or make them just like us. The other not only has needs but also individual, habitual karmic habits that you cannot change. They need to initiate change themselves; you cannot forcibly change them. Buddhism teaches us that you cannot change someone's karma; not even Buddha can do that. He said, “I can only show you the path; to do it is totally up to you.”
That's the basic principle in a relationship—we share. We share our wisdom, our knowledge, we allow ourselves to be a mirror, but it’s up to the individual to make the choice. We must respect that. We must know that the other acts out of habit pattern, just as we do. Just as we cannot be forcibly changed from the outside, so too with them.
Problems begin when we lose the balance that comes from understanding the interplay of connection and separateness. We lose the sense of mindfulness when we lose the basic balance of the selfless, egoless teaching, and become selfish, ego-centered, or even ego-maniacal.
That's where dukkha (suffering) begins and joy ends, where the joy of relationship ends and the dukkha of relationship begins. When a relationship is troubling, that will stimulate our path. We can’t expect it to always be perfect. In the mirror of relationship, we discover all these things. We discover the real nature of relationship and we discover how we go off balance, how we lose the egoless, selfless view, how we lose the sense of love and caring.
Practicing mindfulness and awareness can help us see in the mirror more clearly. Mindfulness can tame the mental wildness that causes us to go so off balance. Mindfulness puts that wild mind in a corral. Once the wild horse of our mind is a little settled, we can train it by tying it to the post of awareness. Then we can train the horse to do all sorts of things, including to exert itself on the path of relationship and take joy and delight in loving."

Lyrics:
You Are The Voice
by John Farnham
We have
The chance to turn the pages over
We can write what we want to write
We gotta make ends meet, before we get much older
We're all someone's daughter
We're all someone's son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?
Chorus:
You're the voice, try and understand it
Make a noise and make it clear
Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o!
We're not gonna sit in silence
We're not gonna live with fear
Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o!
This time
We know we all can stand together
With the power to be powerful
Believing, we can make it better
Oooooooh,
We're all someone's daughter
We're all someone's son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?...
You're the voice, try and understand it
Make a noise and make it clear
Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o!
We're not gonna sit in silence
We're not gonna live with fear
Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o!
{Instrumental[Bag Pipes(Tin Whistle)]}
Ooooooh
We're all someone's daughter
We're all someone's son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?...
You're the voice, try and understand it
Make a noise and make it clear
Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o!
We're not gonna sit in silence
We're not gonna live with fear
Oh-o-o-o, whoa-o-o-o!
(repeat until end of song)

Just a rambling thought...
perhaps with a (revised) limited government approach and the freeing up (the allowing) of better energy producing devices...
will enhance humankind's desire to love and take care of each other more...
hence lesson our need to accumulate more wealth (stuff) ...
when attempting too affirm ones true worth...?
this bares repeating ...

When one can empathetically identify with both the pain and the joy of others...
It then becomes apparent that in the inner world we are not really separated from each other...
So it should be a given then that peace and joy no less than pain and sorrow are shared and collective experiences.
My being conscious of you is intertwined with your being conscious of me.... And that is... all that is real to me ... my Friends. :)

'God Has A Voice She Speaks Through Me'
All my charities belong to you
Watching dolphins in your sea
The earth is a pretty place to be
All my charities belong to thee
Black bodies float in the sea
We can see but he can't see me
A starlit'shroud like the dark to you
Laughter echoes in my private room
Kissing fireflies on a beach
How sweet that we can be
Everyone has love to give
Our hearts will teach us how to live
My body wept
I feel so free
The water softly tickles me
My heart is pounding waiting for
The ocean deep enough to lift my veil
Crystal light shine down on us
God has a voice she speaks through me
Every creature longs to be
In his arms please carry me
I am happy in the light of day
My skin glows bright in the sunrays
My shadowed world seems so far away
My angel taught me not to fear
Love is free and everywhere
Listen to that special part
It will save us, it's the heart
God has a voice he speaks through me
God has a voice she speaks through me
Crystal light in every creature
Crystal light in every creature
Everyone has love to give

"Friends"
Bright light almost blinding, black night still there shining,
I can't stop, keep on climbing, looking for what I knew.
Had a friend, she once told me, "You got love, you ain't lonely,"
Now she's gone and left me only looking for what I knew.
Mmm, I'm telling you now, The greatest thing you ever can do now,
Is trade a smile with someone who's blue now, It's very easy just...
Met a man on the roadside crying, without a friend, there's no denying,
You're incomplete, they'll be no finding looking for what you knew.
So anytime somebody needs you, don't let them down, although it grieves you,
Some day you'll need someone like they do, looking for what you knew.
Mmm, I'm telling you now, The greatest thing you ever can do now,
Is trade a smile with someone who's blue now, It's very easy just... :)

Some sad news today...
Here's a guy who i never had the pleasure of meeting, but have always felt a kinship with :(
"We're told Davy suffered the heart attack at a ranch near his Florida home, where he was visiting his horses. Davy began experiencing distress while he was sitting in his car, and that's where a ranch hand found him. The ranch hand told Sheriff's detectives ... the singer began to complain that he was not feeling well and was having trouble breathing. Paramedics were called and Jones was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Authorities say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
Jones is survived by his wife Jessica and 4 daughters from previous marriages. He was 66-years-old. Jones was married to Jessica Pacheco -- his 3rd wife."
