Good Morning and welcome to today's roundup of the Phone hacking stories! With all the stories breaking I'm not sure if you all see a need for a write up like this. Rec it if you like it and if the results are good I'll keep doing write-ups. I'm reading the news anyway so I don't mind but it does take a bit of time to do the typing.
First: The London Evening Standard is running an article saying that the judge Prime Minister Cameron appointed to oversee the hacking scandal has ties to Rupert Murdoch. Ends up the judge has been two parties at Murdoch's daughter's house and out to dinner once with the son-in-law. This is VERY bad for Cameron. He will have to explain his choice now and it only makes him look even more tied to Murdoch and his minions. I have been saying all along that Cameron will have to step down over this. I think appointing this judge gets him one foot closer out the door. (it is interesting to note: The Evening Standard hasn't been following this case much but the way they word this story still seems to shelter Murdoch. They don't say "Rupert Murdoch's daughter's house" they say: " Justice Leveson has attended two evening events at the London home of PR boss Matthew Freud - who is married to Rupert Murdoch's daughter Elisabeth" as though they are distancing him from Murdoch. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23972388-investigate-james-murdoch-over-smoking-gun-email-urges-mp.do

The Guardian is reporting that if Murdoch lied (he mislead, at least) the Parliament committee he will face jail time. I think he is going to jail.
Sky News is reporting that Chris Bryant, MP, is asking for both Murdochs to be suspended from their board positions at News Corp and BSkyB. http://twitter.com/#!/SkyNewsBreak/status/94337809736933376
The FBI is interviewing Jude Law. A few months ago I posted that all we needed was for one of these British stars to have been in the US when their phone was hacked. Jude Law is suing for hacking...and it appears he was in the US for a portion of the hacking. Here we go!

The Telegraph is finally reporting that Murdoch's papers were hacking into email systems as well. It is already known that they were sending trojan viruses in emails that, once opened, gave the sender complete access to the sendee's computers. Now that this is breaking in England I think it will be a matter of days until we see evidence of it happening here. THe BBC is reporting they have seen a copy of a "blue book" with all the listings of Scottish phone hacking by News of the World and a DIFFERENT investigator. Remember, most of this case has been about Glenn Muclcaire, ONE investigator. The more of the investigators that are investigated the bigger this story gets.
