Scientists have created more than 150 human-animal hybrid embryos in British laboratories.

The hybrids have been produced secretively over the past three years by researchers looking into possible cures for a wide range of diseases.

The revelation comes just a day after a committee of scientists warned of a nightmare ‘Planet of the Apes’ scenario in which work on human-animal creations goes too far.

Last night a campaigner against the excesses of medical research said he was disgusted that scientists were ‘dabbling in the grotesque’.

Figures seen by the Daily Mail show that 155 ‘admixed’ embryos, containing both human and animal genetic material, have been created since the introduction of the 2008 Human Fertilisation Embryology Act.

This legalised the creation of a variety of hybrids, including an animal egg fertilised by a human sperm; ‘cybrids’, in which a human nucleus is implanted into an animal cell; and ‘chimeras’, in which human cells are mixed with animal embryos.

What is it actually they are doing in the US….. they are now voting about increasing the debt ceiling, which means if yes; they will print more money, devaluating the dollar further and creating hyperinflation (unfortunately not in the housing sector  ) … if no; US will default on their debt payments, resulting in reduced credit rating which will reduce the bond/treasury prices significantly so the owners will have to place further collateral for the credits they have secured by US debt instruments and so on and so forth… Both scenarios will result in the dollars collapse with no doubt… THIS IS NOT ANY FINANCIAL ADVICE AND KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT RELATING TO THE USD/EUR CURRENCY CROSS, SINCE THE EURO WILL NOT SURVIVE THE DOLLAR… YOU WILL SEE THE USD/EUR (BOTH CURRENCIES) DEVALUATION BY COMPARING TO THE COST OF LIVING, ESPECIALLY THE COST OF PETROL AT THE PUMP/GAS STATION AND BY LOOKING AT THE VALUE OF THE CHF (SWISS FRANC) SINCE THAT IS THE STRONGEST CURRENCY IN THE WORLD AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME.

Uh, daily fail :P

Just another lame excuse for a story from a desperate news paper, this article is biased and ignorant. The "embryo's" are called cybrid's (http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cytoplasmic_hybrid), they cannot even develop to implantation stage, let alone mutant ape's LOL! This is nothing but anti-science propaganda, sad thing is they are probally only doing this for a quick paper sale, but who knows?

Nothing to worry about here =) I suggest to all be very wary of anything posted or written by the daily fear, they don't exactly have a good track record...

For example, just take a look at this (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=299519692752). It's a good demonstration of why the Daily Mail is not a reliable scientific source. Note the second list "things that cause and prevent cancer". Yes, a whole list of things they have claimed cause cancer, yet have also reported the same things prevent cancer in other articles... ridiculous.
