Where do we go from here?
I want to express something, just an idea/concept that seems to be haunting me, and see what others in the Avalon community have to say.
I created a rough sketch of this principle below, I am a visual learner and this helped me to better construct the concept.
As members of this community, we look for sheeple-isms in every aspect of our existence. We question authority and look for ways to tear down the 'mind-made' structures that we are always being forced into whether it's education, religion, government, society, etc... We have learned to identify the structure/box of containment as a potential source of control and when appropriate, adopt a new paradigm which destroys the power over us of the containing structure. I believe that process enables us to grow, and that it is the basis for achieving higher levels of enlightenment.

Now here's my thoughts. We have become fairly proficient at recognizing those boxes of containment, new ones pop up every day. We discuss these new structures openly and do the best we can to identify the source, their ultimate goals for creating these new structures, and adjust our thinking and our actions to relinquish the power of the controlling box.
But, where do we go from here?
I question as to whether or not we, humanity, could ever really succeed and live in the realm of peace, love, and enlightenment, even if we destroyed all of the old boxes and adopted a completely new societal, governmental, religious, educational paradigm. We can change our cognitive beliefs, our spirituality, the societal structure, how we are governed or not governed, yet all we have really accomplished is to eliminate the old box and to create a new box, another structure which has the inate ability to once again be an oppressive mechanism used by some against those who exist inside.
I don't see that there is any other way out of this cycle other than something, well for a lack of a better term, a molecular(?) change.
We are human, and although we can order and direct our concept of being human, adopt higher ideas, pursue valid personal goals, advance our spiritual reality, we really can't get out of this box. The box of humanity, as we understand it today, will always have the potential for evil and corruption, so we're stuck in this box, doing the best we can, and we need help to move outside of this paradigm.
Maybe we die and reincarnate into a higher dimension? Maybe we have the ability to exceed the boundaries of our humanity box right now, but just don't know how?
But for now, as I look around, I see so much corruption, so many evil people with power and control, so many 'mind-made' boxes created with the intent to control or oppress others, and I want to complain, resist, fight against the oppression, and I do. But down deep I just have this nagging question, what will it really take to bring humanity to the brink of enlightenment, where true change is possible, and the boxes destroyed forever?
Where do we go from here? I don't know, I wish I did. I just know that we can keep identifying and destroying the mind-made boxes/structures, but until we can address the box/structure of humanity effectively, I don't think there is a real possibility to bring this world into a peaceful, loving existence.

You expressed the dilemma brilliantly Providence. This is why I'm less and less inclined to dive too deep down the conspiracy rabbit holes. Stay abreast of them to stay up on "street smarts" as David Icke puts it? Yes. Run around with my hair on fire trying to get to the bottom of all the deceptions? No, not any more. I like the saying that there comes a point when all you are doing is admiring the problem.

The 500 pound gorilla is plopped fat and happy in the middle of our living room, this of course is obvious now to people who come to forums such as this. We don't necessarily need to know how long he's been there, how he got there, how he's fooled so many of us for so long, what his future plans are, etc.. What we are left with is the observation: He's there, and what are we going to do about it?

For those who don't like people going all esoteric and stuff, well, sorry, but I don't see a way out through the intellect. As Einstein stated so correctly, "no problem can be solved on the same level from which it was created". Though interpreted differently from person to person, one constant seems to remain. People are sensing new energies, and new possibilities that weren't there before. I feel this, so therefore I know it is happening. The universe is infinite possibility, therefore that gives us a card to play that TPTW must be scared s**tless of, THE SURPRISE BUTTON.

I don't know about you, but I would not want to go toe to toe with infinite possibility.

I think you are theoretically correct that we could vanquish all the "bad guys" in the world, and it would just happen again. I believe it's happened before, several times, and it would happen again. So, please forgive my seemingly simpleton outlook, but I don't see any other way out besides anchoring ourselves in love best we can, follow our intuitions and personal truths, and stand prepared to be a part of events that will be the talk of the universe.

Cheers,
Fred

Thanks Fred, and I agree, it's just nice to hear from someone else's point of view.

I just keep returning to the only solution that makes sense to me. Walk in love, let go of attachments, stay away from boxes, be as self sufficient as possible, and keep walking....

I was just reminded of a somewhat recent story, from Ethiopia I think it was, of a woman who runs a relief camp for a couple thousand homeless and desperate families. One day the soldiers came in, to do what soldiers do, and this little 5 foot tall elderly woman met them in the middle of the main street. To make a long story short, she confronted the leader with many guns pointed at her, shamed him for what they were doing, and demanded they leave immediately.

Well, it worked, but while the leader prepared to move his boys out, she tells him not so fast. She had the nerve to inform this ruthless thug that him and his group were going nowhere until he formally apoligized to her people for the trouble they had needlessly caused. Not only that, he was to take his sweet time and write out his heartfelt apology, and only after his public reading of this, would they be permitted to leave. He did so, and even apologized further the whole way out.

I would love to meet this woman, what an example to set. It may be that she easily exposed one of the biggest whoppers ever told, that brute force is the ultimate authority on this planet.

Cheers,
Fred

THE SURPRISE BUTTON
Lmao I like the idea of that, conjures up images of them opening pandoras box unto themselves while the rest of humanity stands around laughing.
These illuminati people have been trying to square the circle ever since they figured out how to use a compass and a ruler...I think they've reached a point where they have enough hubris to convince themselves they can actually do it...sooner or later though it'll finally dawn on them that you just can't go around putting boxes around infinity, at least not without expecting the whole box to blow up in their face...nice story Fred, shows what we can accomplish when we become fearless enough to stand our ground against the bullies.

So where do we go from here...I'm just going to go from one box to the next, walk across them like stepping stones, take my time to find and admire the value and beauty in each one...I'm quite happy to play this game for a good while longer yet though, I'm not even going to pretend like I've mastered everything I'd like to master with this one yet so until then i'll be seeing it through until it's ever replaced with the latest upgrade.

Isn't that exactly how we lived for hundreds of thousands (or millions depending on your sources) of years until we became 'civilised'? Hunter gatherers, following the coast and venturing in to the spooky beast filled forest when we needed to.

Then we started living in boxes called homes, growing food in boxes called fields and since then it's been box after box, label after label. The better you play the game, the bigger a box you get to live in. Most people sit in boxes called 'offices' and 'factories' for 5-6 days a week defining themselves by ticking the like button on boxes on Facebook. Refuse to play and you go to either this big overcrowded box called a Prison or a cardboard box under a highway.

These days I just laugh because in the grand scheme of things, it is pretty funny what we've done to ourselves. I'm sure it's just a phase we're going through and we'll be ok in the end. =]

Providence, for the population as a whole, a molecular change is needed. Perhaps an energy wave coming from the center of the galaxy which upgrades everyone's DNA, and per chance makes us loving, caring, concerned individuals who are no longer greedy, selfish critters. LOL

For some of us there has been an awakening in which we, like you, understand the boxes, and see the
"bigger picture". We have transmuted ourselves, or at least have begun the transformation process, because we can no longer be confined by the "boxes". We don't wish to live that way any longer.

But without universal change, I believe you are correct, we exchange your visuals for new models.

The following is an idea you might enjoy. If you like what it represents, then you might also enjoy taking a look at my current blog posted just below yours called 2012 Missing Link.

Seeds of Change: Project #1

Develop an off-the-grid, self-sustaining International Youth Hostel on the fair grounds parking lot in proximity to the Ohio Historical Center's Ohio Village and the State Highway Patrol Headquarters.

Development would include a number of Cob House and Earthship construction “condo units” designed for cooperative group living.

A larger “Underground Commons” unit will function as a coop kitchen and café, a meeting room, and a mini-museum dedicated to documenting the process of this Commons project.

To accommodate for the displaced parking spaces, a several story parking garage will need to be constructed. This structure will function as a mixed-use space to accommodate parking and serve as the hostel’s YMCA-styled changing room and wash facility. Rainwater from the roof will feed this system, which can be further filtered if necessary.

Additionally, several solar powered, relatively “large-scale” dehumidifiers will be embedded in this structure, or potentially elsewhere on the compound’s grounds, to serve as potable water for drinking and cooking.

In the evening, the uppermost parking level will serve as a sheltered “cot city” for the homeless. This floor will also have its own wash area. People staying in this homeless shelter will be required to be in there at a certain time, leave by a certain time, remain within the designated area the entire time, and must not loiter anywhere on fair grounds anytime in between.

The grounds of the compound will be patrolled by cadets as part of a police mentorship program.

The entire compound will be powered by a single wind turbine, with excess energy harnessed by fly-wheel batteries and/or added to the energy grid to help offset energy costs for the Ohio Historical Center.

Material for Cob House and Earthship condo construction will be collected recycling materials supplemented by materials purchased by funds raised from donation drive.

Labor for construction of condos will be volunteer-based.

Labor for construction of Underground Commons and parking garage will be donated/organized by applicable labor unions. Materials will be donated by local construction corporations.

Construction oversight will be donated by the Army Corpse of Engineers.

Design oversight of facilities will be donated by the Columbus Branch of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Design of facilities will be part of an in-state collegiate design competition held at the Columbus Convention Center with best design voted on by the public.

A not-for-profit Commons development trust fund will need to be established to help get this project, the nation's first self-sustainable International Youth Hostel, up and running; assuming, that is, the Ohio Historical Society is unable to manage the wherewithal or initiate to get this project done on its own.

Every time I see this thread title I hear this song in my head:

where do we go from here?
the words are coming out all wierd
where are you now when i need you?
alone on an aeroplane
falling asleep against the window pane
my blood will thicken.

i need to wash myself again to hide all the dirt and pain
i'd be scared that there's nothing underneath
and who are my real friends?
have they all got the bends?
am i really sinking this low?

my baby's got the bends
we don't have any real friends
i'm just lying in a bar with my drip feed on
talking to my girlfriend waiting for something to happen
and i wish it was the sixties
i wish i could be happy
i wish
i wish
i wish that something would happen..

where do we go from here?
the words are coming out all wierd
where are you now when i need you?
they brought in the CIA
the tanks and the whole marines to blow me away
to blow me sky high.

my baby's got the bends
we don't have any real friends
i'm just lying in a bar with my drip feed on
talking to my girlfriend waiting for something to happen
and i wish it was the sixties
i wish i could be happy
i wish
i wish
i wish that something would happen

i want to live and breathe
i want to be part of the human race

Thanks to all who have responded, I appreciate your words of wisdom and focusing upon those things in our lives that are of the highest priority, love, peace, truth...
I wake up some mornings and browse for the latest news and events across the globe, it's different now than it was for me even 6 months ago, I see things with very different eyes. I find myself railing against the PTB, against the constant and obvious governing control mechanisms being used against us, the coverups and the lack of investigative reporting by the network news media, the lies, the expanding of an oppressive police state where citizens have no rights and their freedoms are being stripped away, and I try my best to get others around me to open their eyes and see, but without much success. And I struggle with why people can be so, well, sheeple-ish, and not at least explore the possibility that their paradigm might be wrong.
And then I see the boxes, millions of boxes, each one inside of another and another and another. Boxes structured to keep us all entertained, preoccupied, misdirected, and I wonder if there is really any way for many people to break out of the mis-informational structure hold. I know I did, but I've always been different, all my life. I am the proverbial black sheep of the family and most of my family members no longer want to associate with me because I'm not like them, I'm not into the standardized drama of life. I have always been open to change, to new concepts, new things. I have always had a cynical side, I looked for the 'why' in things, which can be very unacceptable for those in control. So maybe that's why I was able to break through but it still makes me wonder what it's going to take to get people to wake up.
I almost hope that there is a global event that shuts down the government, the grid, the networks, the distribution systems, at least for a time. I think that might be one thing that would force people to live in a state of reality, instead of the manufactured control state that we're in now, and maybe they would see or at least open up to the possibilities.
Thanks again to all, and as always, Peace!
