To save you from ungodly ammounts of pain!

Woke up with a pain in my neck on my left side, which intensafied drematicly thruout the day. Without painkillers i couldent even sit still on a chair and watch TV. I ended up just walking around in circles or pacing from the front of the house to the back for 30mins-1hr till they kicked in.

What happend:

My neckbones locked up, 2nd and 3rd from the top of the spine. The pain diddnt feel like it was coming from my spine, it just felt like the whole left side of my neck was getting bashed by a sledgehammer repeatidly.

After starting the chicken excersizes - which looks exreamly funny - but i can confirm it works - the pain sort of reduced from the whole side of my neck to where the Saliva gland is.

In all it lasted about 5 days, and i came close to causing my liver serious damage because the doctor blatantly refuzed to perscribe me painkillers (I had a chat to the pharmacist and they gave me some - but i was taking more than perscribed as 1 wasnt doing anything at all - went back to the pharmacist again and they switched paracetamol for ibprofen which worked)

So - to save yourself enourmous ammounts of pain - and because its good to do anyway - i emplore you to do this:

If you dont do these kind of excersizes regularly - please be prepared for the horrible crunching noises that you will hear when you first do these chicken-head excersizes.

TY for listening to my rant!

I often get neck pain due to 2 degenerated discs in the lower neck. It's always good to have options to try when it plays up... thanks

What caused it in the first place?

I believe... it was from sleeping at work :P

I do nightshift, and its an unspoken rule that we each get a nap when on nightshift (the managers know and are ok with this but for obvious reasons its not on paperwork anywhere) we take it in the lunchroom, and use a row of chairs to sleep on.

I used to do the same when working a night shift but the floor is better for your body than on chairs.
Just use a jumper or a sweater as a pillow and viola!
