Run in with the Bellingham PD

Hi everyone I just had a run in with the Bellingham Washington PD. I was lighting off a few leftover fireworks from the fourth and I was caught red handed by two people in a police car. I was ready to get my warning until an non uniformed officer approached with officer Ghanbari # 213. Officer Ghanbari integrated me and I asked to see his ride along's (dressed in plain clothes) ID/ Badge. Officer Ghanbari told me he was a Federal Agent. I thought BS a Federal Agent would have Identified HIM/Her Self more so than flashing some kind of belt badge, as he did and this mysterious person would not speak.

I have since received my ticket for illegal use of fireworks and called the Bellingham PD to ascertain whom was riding with Officer Ghanbari. They said after a 5 min. pause they will call me back.

First thing you do is check what statute they charged you under.
Make sure their allegation fits the statute.
It may not and you are out.

You probably won't get a call back. It may be that the other person was not speaking due to having an accent.

They are saying the ride along aes an off duty customs agent. and they say they have said he dose not have to identify himself???? Is this leagle? Since when dose a federal agent not have to identify himself?
