FYI:
A 6.4 magnitude earthquake has shaken Fukushima Prefecture in northeastern Japan.
Japanese public broadcaster NHK said the quake took place at 3:54 a.m. on Sunday (1854 GMT on Saturday), Reuters reported.
The quake was centered around 100 kilometers (60 miles) southeast of Fukushima city at a depth of about 40 kilometers (25 miles).
The earthquake was also felt in Tokyo.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. Seismologists said there was no risk of a tsunami.
NHK said the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) was checking whether the quake caused any new damage to the Fukushima Daiichi plant, which was crippled by a 9.0 magnitude quake and devastating tsunami on March 11.
In the disaster, about 23,000 people were killed or are still listed as missing.
