These two fellas were illegally arrested and threatened with 8 charges - equipped with some knowledge of the law system they (to a large degree) defended themselves in court.

Subsequently they were acquitted of all charges.

On July 1st, 2010 Todd M. Dodge of the Greenfield, MA Police Department and his colleagues violated the rights of Ademo Freeman (aka Adam Mueller) & Pete Eyre when they illegally arrested the duo on July 1st, 2010 for simply questioning their requests to stop filming. Together Freeman and Eyre were threatened with eight charges, including three felonies.

They did well.
It isn't as easy as it looked to upset ''professional'' witnesses, that is what cops are, nor is it easy to deal with the prosecutor/judge.
Remember, they do this daily.
I think that if enough people record the cops daily, they will soon have to stop messing with them.
Plus, one higher court decision and then that should settle it for each jurisdiction.
It might not stop you being arrested, but it will make your defense and compensation easier.
