Immanuel Velikovsky : earth in upheavel

I thought I would post a message to other forum viewers about this amazing author.

For some of us old timers, we might already be familiar with who this author was.
He was the author of some very insightful and thought provocative books for anyone looking to gain some insight into our past geological history.

Earth in Upheaval presents documentation of global catastrophes in prehistorical and historical times: the evidence of stone and bone. This evidence from the natural sciences indicates that these great disturbances which rocked our world were caused by forces outside the Earth itself.

In Earth in Upheaval, Velikovsky brings together a multitude of facts, such as palms found in northern Greenland, corals in Alaska, the unfossilized bones of hippopotamuses in England, and the remains of polar bears and arctic foxes crushed together in one mass with ostriches and crocodiles.

Further data verifies that at the very time that Dr Velikovsky claimed as the date of the recent global catastrophe only 3500 years ago, the level of the world's oceans dropped sharply, climate was violently altered, and ancient civilizations.


I strongly urge members who have an interest in studying history of the world that is different than one would encounter in main steam educational centres, than I urge you read this book, or any other books by this great author.

An older post on a subject that I have found fascinating that brings quite a bit with a different twist to the table about the earths alternative history. Immanuel Velikovsky in the 50s, presented a plethora of facts and theories on the subject that were furiously ridiculed by the main stream science and TPTB. Is there something we are unaware of that they were trying to hide ? and why did they go to such lengths covering up, since proven hypothesis and theories of this man of non traditional science? And the question now, Why? The following video (in the first 38 minutes) interviews Laird Scranton about Velikovsky and his theories that many since have been proven as facts. Can Velikovsky's hypothesis of our planetary history stand up to scrutiny in todays explosion of conspiracies? Not without finding the light of day. The debate rages and for me I cant reason as to why Immanuel's discoveries are not part of the discussion. As Michael Tsarion stated, in not so many words, The greatest myth is, that myths are myths.

I wanted to add to the thread this additional interview of the same author that goes a bit more in depth explaining how many of Velikovsky's hypothesis were correct and how the PTB have gone to substantial lengths to discredit and transfer credit of his correct theories away from his research. Why you may not be able to accept all of the game changing discoveries of Velikovsky the majority now are proven and irrefutable. Thanks for bumping this thread Jerry, its interesting stuff which many have tried to debunk, including debunking the Dogon myths. Myths are very important, including the bible writings, story telling in forms which everyone can inwardly translate.

I believe Velikovski was a proponent of the electric universe not sure its a while since I read, but the Dogon myth of our sun being in 26,000 yr binary orbit with sirius I can go with 100% it fully explains the precession and the yuga ages, without any fudges, sry that's a bit off topic but it's linked. :)

Every time I have come across an interview or material about him I find new and interesting info that reveals a cabal cover up that makes no sense. With more research in hand I will start a new thread on Scranton's book on Velikovsky looking at the quantifiable evidence.
