This link is to an mp3 download by Dr Fife. He addresses Alzheimer's as being type 3 diabetes. The cure is coconut oil and he explains why it works. He also addresses the changes in the food industry and beliefs about food that has lead to our current epidemic of Alzheimers. .... really, if you have spent most of your life on a low fat diet, or a low quality of fat diet,,,, corn oil, vegetable oil, canola oil, start taking coconut oil now, start pumping it into your parents, to avoid for yourself and them a world of woe.
Everyone needs to listen to this program.

I have been using coconut oil for 2 years now. But looking at all the info, I'm going back to cooking with organic animal fat i.e. lard. When I was little, I used to eat sourdough bread with lard. Delish!!! So for example, my eggs are done on fat off the bacon. But I also eat raw egg yolks in a smoothie that has coconut oil.

Well, Fife does recommend beef tallow for many uses... but it does not provide what coconut oil does for the brain to anywhere near the same degree.

Wow, that doesn't superise me - coconut oil is AMAZING!!!
I use it in raw vegan sweets, plus it's great for eczema - my nephew has eczema and get's lathered up on his red and itchy spots and it soothes him right away!!
PLUS don't forget to use it as a moisturiser!! :)

The list of benefits from coconuts is too big for this thread! Trust and buy some, if you don't already use it. It's a wonderfully healing food. Fats in our diet are grossly misunderstood. Raw, unprocessed, unheated fats are essential to good health.
My lastest discovery is coconut flower sugar. VERY tasty and actually healthful, with many nutrients and extremely low glycemic number. Suitable for diabetics.
Edit: Well, I should add that even this sugar should be used moderately. Most sugars are very distruptive to bodily processes.
