While a large section of media is busy broadcasting London riots and dissecting Indian cricket teams failure, a bunch of protesting uaramed farmers are being chased and fired upon near Pune/Mumbai.

It's a very feasible possibility that some farmers threw stones at police and injured some of them. However, I sincerely doubt that this gives a police a right to open fire at them when they are running away.

The video capture also shows the police breaking vehicles, similar to London rioters.

What's different here? Just like the rest of the world..... Of course, they're not showing how it escalated to this. So, how can we know what the real truth is? From what was shown, the farmers were running away. So, of course, it looks like the cops were acting like trigger-happy thugs....

You are right Maia.. We dont know the truth here. I cant see the reason why its oki for the police to fire the farmers in the back as they are running away.

The same goes for this clip here then i guess?

You got that right. They're acting like thugs. Makes me sick especially when it's directed at children.... And this is the country that brought us meditation, yoga, karma and all that good Eastern Indian stuff. Sad that it's the ones who are supposed to be protecting us who have lost their integrity (having and adhering to high moral standards) and are doing the harm...

Remember the Police in India are very corrupt.
The whole system is on the take.
You can be detained for nothing, just for a back hander
Your phones will be cut for the same reason any thing really.

Even thought we dont know the truth, i hope people know right from wrong.

But if you look at the world and the police, they seem dead inside. No normal human whold do this things they do.

We get reports over and over again about police who seem to lack all humanity emotions.

Well maby thats why the Elite call them there "Dogs" ..............I guess we know when we die...

Well police in india and everywhere else of late = Gorillas with guns.

I am not sure why these farmers are protesting as my net is too slow for youtube atm, however if you think banks are criminal...wait till you know about the loan sharks in India.

Farmers who need money are too poor to go to a back or ask family and friends, so they go to loan sharks to get money they need to maintain their land.......in return for signing agreement that they pay at least 1000 % interest and if not these "people" would take everything.

There are huge numbers of poor farmers who suicide because of this as the loan people would not leave them or there families alone all through out their lives.

to make matters worst, the rich their are some of the most flamboyant about showing off their wealth, and that includes "buying" up politicians and make the police force do what they want them to do. putting billionaires next to poverty stricken people (and i mean literally next to) is due to cause problems.

Asking the poor to pay an amount not even 10 generations of their families can pay is also an extreme of injustice and due to cause problems.

i am not surprised that some of the people there have just about had enough, i just wish there was some way for them to get their rights to live a normal human life back, as evidently they won't get it from protesting.

Heres how I see it. A person doesn't start off wishing to act this way. But it all falls down to the system they use to discipline their intentions. Its pretty much the same with soldiers also. They are Normal.

The system they subscribe too isn't evolved enough to counter fear up to a certain level. The cops and soldiers that you hear about who stand up and make tough decisions about "protecting" the innocent, are no braver then others, they simply see past certain training mentalities and apply their own perceptions. Its a matter of change. Adapting to change or more so refusing to adapt to change is what causes fear of losing control and safety which in turn allows justification of "defense".

No one considers themselves evil. Even when they outright say it. They are defending an ideal.

The trouble is figuring out how to get people to change ideals without violence. You cant pit one ideal against another. Opposition causes fear. There needs to be understanding for these policemen and soldiers as tough as it is to give.

Thats why these protests don't accomplish much. They represent opposition. Which is good for the ego in a way that says I'm a human being with rights, but ultimately it doesn't resolve anything in measure of Effectiveness.
