I woke up this morning to ITV Daybreak as usual before going to work to see what the weather will be like, and they announced the next batch of UFO files had been released today only a few min section after the usual little green men comments..
on comes MR.Ministry Pope as vague as ever...BLa bla bla thank you for the cheque
goodbye....I can't find a link to it, just as well as it will only p--- you off.
Anyway like everything else it was lost in the aftermath of the policing cock up..

The daily mail on line are really taking it seriously (not) Mork & Mindy headline..

Your right boja I saw Dr Clark on a old BBC news clip earlier when I was looking for clips for this thread and he was as bad as Pope.Ok if they are scared of ridicule don't go on TV.Tim Good was on the radio the other morning and bless him he was not afried to say what he believes, even if the reporter sneered at him.....Steve

Lets hope so Maia ........My main gripe with Nick Pope is that he has joined the UFO circuit a few years ago , granted most probably thru invitation .Event organisers keen for fresh blood and with
his credentials were glad to have him on boared and his speciality is the Rendlesham forest incident which he presents clinicaly and should put him firmly in our camp so to speak.....
He is a freelance journalist and still either works for the MOD or has a pension , and he is still bound by his secrecy oaths . What he presents in his presentation is already public knowledge
realesed by col Holt and others who were at the base when the UFO landed...
He has by luck or design, (this where the possible disinfo accusations come in) landed an unusual dual role of apparently disclosing to us what he knows on the subject, and not telling us
what he knows about real classified cases for fear of breaking his secrecy oath. Which to be fair he freely admits so he is not a'Whistleblower' which can confuse some.

He has found himselfe to be called on by media all over the world to comment on virtually any UFO siting on TV/media...So he is on to a good little earner and he is seen by the mainstream
as the voice of ufology.Which would be great if he actually said anything positve and not be so vague......This then leads into the question is it just luck he is the main man they all ring
or is it part of a intellegnce ploy to hog the airways with his negative vibes..........Or is it just me.....Steve

Hi all this is a recent 5min Nick Pope interview on disclosure TV .....This is a classic example he does not really say anything other that space is so big there may be alian life & they may have visited.
But words come out of his mouth, but there is no substance...This would not matter except he is the so called 'expert' every media outlet contact , does it not bug anyone ?

I believe that almost all of us here at Avalon (certainly in the UK) realise that these "UK UFO file batch releases" are quite simply a joke.
- Just a few carrots to feed the donkeys.

While not wishing to belittle him, Nick Pope, as you point out, never actually says anything of any consequence.

However, since we are on the subject of BS (oops ! who said that ?).
Would it not be a worth while cause in order to benefit anybody & everybody researching UFOs, to compile a list of DEBUNKERS ?
Whose teachings should be steered well clear of.
"Supposed experts" who have written books or articles and whose "theories" are not to be trusted.
People who are at best, unintentionally misleading, or worse, INTENTIONALLY misleading.

Anyone with an initial certain amount of scepticism towards the subject could be forgiven.
However, people who plainly go to great lengths to debunk it, are an ABSOLUTE MENACE.

In the words of Stanton Friedman "THE EVIDENCE IS OVERWHELMING".

dear cidersomerset and winton smith1971 i think your being a bit harsh to poor old nick..oops sorry nicholas pope,as the interviewer said in the link he has now got 4 books after his name,although as he never says anything new i should imagine most of the pages are empty and so they double up as diaries [useful eh ] and she also described him as the new fox mulder... ladies restrain yourselves and form an orderly queue,and now he`s gonna make programs and films about ufo`s !! i think its safe to say that nicky boy is riding the gravy train, choo choo all aboard the pope express..first stop his bank account. its an affront to have his name mentioned in the same breath as tim goode bill ryan et al.
