I know that I`m new to this forum and most of you will think I`m spinning a yarn, and frankly I wouldn't blame you ,because it sounds like a B grade movie script.
When I was very young my parents and I lived with my mothers parents in a very large weather board home in the northern suburbs of Sydney N.S.W Australia. Eventually they had saved enough doe for a deposit on a new home and land, after it was built we moved in ,we were the first house in the area the rest was still virgin bushman which consequently became my playground,we lived on a ridge between two valleys,in the bottom of one valley was a creek. Every afternoon after school I would go down to the creek to try and catch some yabbies or turtles, over the next few years I grew to know every inch of that bushland.
When I was about 8 years my cousins were coming to stay, for a couple of days,so one fine morning we all decided to go for a walk down to the creek through the bush,my parents my two cousins aunt and uncle and the family dog . To cut a long story short when we got to the creek it looked a bit odd ,the bank was covered with vines that went up pretty high so you couldn't see the creek,so being young and adventures myself cousins and dog decided to walk up the middle of the creek bed the water was now not very deep ,only 1 or 2 feet and had a sandy bottom,we walked about 20 yards up and into what looked like a sandstone cave with strange markings on the walls ,it was like a sandstone archway ,I had never seen it before, this was very puzzling to me because it shouldn't be there, my parents called us back ,so out we all came, I told them that this is very odd and the cave was never there before ,you could imagine the reaction I received from my parents and from every one else for that matter.
After a few days had past my cousins and their parents had left so I rang a mate from school and excitedly told him about my strange discovery,we OK`ed it with his mum and so he could stay at my place the next day ,so after school he came home with me and after a quick bite to eat we headed down the bush to check out the cave over the creek ,well you guessed it ,when we got there everything was as it should be and there was no sigh of any cave ,the creek was back to it`s deep and rocky self and the vines that covered the hole thing were also gone .
My friend was none too happy for wasting his time,I`m now 52 and can remember the cave as clear as if it was yesterday ,I still think about it from time to time ,it dosen`t trouble me, however I do wonder what the hell happened ,I was wondering if any members have had a similar type of experience,as I said I don`t blame anyone for thinking I`m crapping on ,but people who know me also know that I can`t stand liars, any constructive thoughts would be appreciated:confused::shocked::confused:
Kind regards Peter

Sounds like whats called a vivid dream.

Have you ever talked to your cousins about this?

It's seems as I get older my memories of my childhood get distorted.

Like I'm remembering a copy of a copy of the original event and it seems like part reality and part fantasy.

I have a childhood memory similar to yours and mine happened at the Lincoln park Zoo in downtown Chicago.

When I was a kid I lived near the zoo, so it was like my play ground and I knew every inch of it.

One day I clearly remember finding a new section in a wooded part of the zoo that was never there before so I went exploring and like you went home and told my folks about it and they blew it off.

I never could find that section at the zoo after that day and as far as I could see it was never there?

It wasn't a dream because my folks remember me telling them about it and it bugged the hell out of me then and it still creeps me out to this day.

Maybe your creek has a magical history tied to it?

I'd do some research of the area and check with the aborigines and see if the creek was sacred to them?

I'm a firm believer in dowsing (if it's done right) and I believe your creek would be a dowsers dream.

I'm sure you can find a serious dowser who would love to check it out.

It sounds to me like there was either some kind of an overlap or leak into a different or parallel dimension or time, or a glitch in the matrix. :)

Similar odd things have happened to me at different times in my life. Just about two weeks ago my husband and I were out walking and he sort of stumbled and said "phewww! that was intense!" I felt a huge energy surge at the same time. We looked at each other and laughed. I said "just a glitch in the matrix". It was a very powerful energy surge, strong enough to knock him off balance. I noticed that everything seemed to disappear for a nanosecond.

One time about 16 years ago I was in New Mexico with a friend. He and I climbed up into a cave in some of the old Anasazi ruins. We both started hearing music and chanting, then saw some kind of ceremony going on with maybe 8-10 Anasazi. We felt like we were falling at first and held onto each other as we were sitting near the edge of the cave with a steep drop. We both saw and heard the exact same things and we knew that we had been seeing into another time/dimension. It lasted probably about 15 minutes, then changed back to our regular dimension. Very exhilarating and exciting!

So these things happen and they definitely make a big impression on you when they do. I think you would remember every detail even though it happened when you were very young.

Thanks for sharing I have always had very vivid dreams my whole life especially when I was a kid. The best advice I can give anyone is keep a journal notice patterns and feelings.

The key to unlocking your dreams is you other people can give you guide lines but the true meanings and symbology of your dremas can only be unlocked by you as they are unique to each indvidul.
