I was not directly involved in that conversation myself, but from what I can see, it had something to do with concerns he has raised recently regarding some of the moderator staff here. I really can't speak for him however (as I am sure he would confirm.)

Not saying that's not why he did it, sounds just like cool hand siddie. I just don't understand. Last great act of defiance?
Why not just stay around and give you guys hell like he always does?

If Lord Sidious thinks that there was a misunderstanding, he should contact us via the staff@projectavalon.net email address given in our email to him.
Normally the "Retired" account status is reversible, yes. Of course we usually refrain from discussing the particulars of any individual case in public.

That's a shame. Even when I don't agree with him, I respect where he's coming from. Hopefully he will take some time and decide to come back. He always contributes substantive, smart posts, and I will/would miss his contributions. But, if he's truly had enough and wants to move on then maybe that's for the best.... I feel the same as you, Referee. I've been out of the Avalon loop for a while and it's hard to return to the news of LS being retired. I don't really know what's going on, and have much catching up to do, generally-- but this is sad news, indeed.
The moon is full now, and emotions are heightened-- not that it's an excuse, but it is what it is. Once all has cooled down and feels less reactive, I really hope things can be cleared and worked through with a calm, open and honest chat.
If we can't resolve things in a balanced way here, how are we going to do it out there? *points at the world*

Hi Ilie I can see where you are coming from, as no one likes to be at the receiving end of an angry persons comments unless they have a thick skin and know how to move past that in an instant, in which case i wish they give out lessons to how to do that. I also know you people have bad days like the rest of us, and on top have to come look like the "bad" guys to some, when it's clear for anyone who wants to see that there are no bad people on this forum.
If i care about someone who gets angry a lot i would tell them to cool down before they even think of answering, and only come back when they can see the person they're answering has a good side to, and to speak to that part of the person, in order to turn a negative situation positive.
if someone is just causing trouble and no noteworthy contribution at all then yes it is a waste of time dealing with them.
However when a person hasn't insulted anyone, and said something that only harmed themselves and no one else it's a bit extreme not to let them take it back. There's already a lot of negativity out there in the world and in our daily lives that sometimes we bring it online, totally forgetting we aren't the only one's who had a bad day.
And i do think forums are good, as the positivity of some people can be carried on to our "offline" life and we do learn from each other as we're talking to another human behind the screen and not to the computer itself.
so what do we ALL (not just the moderators or LS) do to end these hard feelings, rather than letting them carry on or spiral out of control or end on a bad note, no one wants that?

Hi, Ilie-
I enjoy reading your posts and, if you remember, we once had a private exchange over something I wanted to discuss with you. You have a level head and I believe a very good heart. So, I am directing this question to you: What possible benefit could this forum get by "retiring" it's most popular and hardest-working member? I certainly agree that some of us can go overboard when we are angry and say things that we shouldn't. We do, because we are all human and therefore fallible, and we make mistakes. As a business person, I would try to work out any problem I had with my "best" client. Forgive me for being blunt with you, but Rob is your best "client". (in this case, poster).
I would guess that there are a number of people on this forum that remain here, because of him. I am NOT saying you, or the other moderators, should put him in a different category than the rest of us. What I am asking is, can you attempt to work out a solution where he can maintain his membership on this forum? Is there anything I can do to assist in your decision? (after all, I'm an attorney and like to talk a lot;)) I am hoping that the moderators would consider allowing him to return here. It would be a sad episode for Avalon if we did not hear from Lord Sid again.
Thanks for listening-
Goldie

Dear Lord Sidius,
You have loyal forum pals who see your soul, admire your contributions, and will greatly miss you on Avalon, if you decide to stay away....... but maybe Avalon is not worthy of you. The most effective people with any type of authority has the presence of mind to keep an even temper in responding to others, especially when emotions are running high. Those in authority, under my watch, must take care not to escalate an issue, but simmmer it out respectfully. Sadly, that does not appear to have happened here. I don't know what happened behind the scenes, but on the forum, to me, you are without a blemish.
I say there are other forums who would be more worthy of someone as talented, helpful, passionate, and honest as yourself. I hope to see you there.

Hey there Mr Davis.
I am not without blame in this.
I am not perfect and I am still struggling to overcome some of my flaws, but I am making progress.
Please, in the same breath that I ask you all to not make judgement on me, also do not do that with the staff.
There is more to be lost by that than gained, trust me on this, I am still trying to get past it.
I do what I do here because I feel the forum and the members are worth the effort.
That is part of the reason I get heated.
Of course the other part is that I am of Irish blood and we never back away from people when they challenge us.
Maybe not the best character trait in the world, but I bet most here would love to have me in the dark alleyway when the muggers come out.
Unfortunately for me, there are no muggers here and no dark alleys, so I have to learn to be a bit more diplomatic.
In the past, diplomacy for me was just a ceasefire while I reload and take a breather. ;)

I find that our human nature is fascinating if observing it from an Anthropological point of view.
we are extremely predictable as species in the fact that we keep doing what we always do-
wherever we go,wehther it will be at school, college, our work place, television, the celebrity culture etc.we are always prone to crown someone as a prominent figuer to admire and to treat as our new idol.it never cease to amaze me how there are almost no exceptions to this human tribute, not even in a community that aspire to be holographic like Avalon.

Hopefully on Avalon, we aim to award our 'crowns' based on excellence, performance, worthiness, wisdom, caring, comittment, and other laudable adjectives. Whereas society tends to accept crowns that have been usurped by bullies, not earned.
Are we not to aim to be the highest we can be? Do we not see that some attain achievement? No, I think we are not all equal - except in potential.

Hello all
I have just returned from a short break from Avalon to find that my friend and mentor Lord Sid has been removed - can somebody tell me what is going on with Avalon? Sid is one of the most intelligent, funny and witty posters on this site and the MOD’s seem determined to remove him. I always thought that Avalon was the best and most democratic of sites but now I am not so sure. I would like to remind any MOD’s reading this of the following:
Democracy is the application of consensus decision-making to the process of legislation in a democracy, characterised by a decision-making structure which involves and takes into account as broad a range of opinions as possible. It also features increased citizen participation both in determining the political agenda and in the decision-making process itself.
Any Mod who removes a member because they have disimilar views or values does not deserve his place here. Whilst I am fully aware that we have some excellent moderators who do a brilliant job - sometimes under very difficult circumstances it should also be mentioned that they are just that - moderators.
I am sure nobody needs reminding here that Avalon is a brilliant site at the forefront of this work but we should all bear in mind that the members are disparate peoples from all round the world and communication in English is very difficult for some and naturally errors of judgement, colloquialisms and tonal mistakes are a consequence of this.
So, come on MOD’s let us all have our say and put Lord Sid back on the front page where he belongs …
Best regards to all. JP
Dang it all! Looks like I am late the party as ever!

Consensus decision-making is a group decision making process that seeks not only the agreement of most participants but also the resolution or mitigation of minority objections. Consensus is defined by Merriam-Webster as, first, general agreement, and second, group solidarity of belief or sentiment. It has its origin in a Latin word meaning literally feel together.[1] It is used to describe both general agreement and the process of getting to such agreement. Consensus decision-making is thus concerned primarily with that process.
Consensus should not be confused with unanimity.
Objectives
As a decision-making process, consensus decision-making aims to be:[3]
Agreement Seeking: A consensus decision making process attempts to help everyone get what they need.[3]
Collaborative: Participants contribute to a shared proposal and shape it into a decision that meets the concerns of all group members as much as possible.[4]
Cooperative: Participants in an effective consensus process should strive to reach the best possible decision for the group and all of its members, rather than competing for personal preferences.
Egalitarian: All members of a consensus decision-making body should be afforded, as much as possible, equal input into the process. All members have the opportunity to present, and amend proposals.
Inclusive: As many stakeholders as possible should be involved in the consensus decision-making process.
Participatory: The consensus process should actively solicit the input and participation of all decision-makers.
=========================================================
Consensus decision making is an alternative to “top-down” decision making, commonly practiced in hierarchical groups

It seems there is an on going dissatisfaction, which I mainly dont agree with.
The mods are working to the essence spirit and intention of the forum guidelines.
They are doing a difficult job.
Some just seem to want to agitate for no good reason. (sometimes it may be valid)
I dont agree or disagree with all that Bill or the mod team have done but I support their right to be as they are.
The Avalon Forum Guidelines are reasonably clear.
Similarly I support the right of members of this forum to be as they are up to the point where they are just being contentious over and over again.
If you are told there is a train a coming repeatedly, time to get of that track.
if I am unhappy with something, I will say so once or twice. then let it go.
Most of what happens on the forum is good and positive--- Avalon is a special place, warts and all.
At this time in the evolution of mankind it is very important to be positive and keep the energy as high as possible.
Why dont we let the small things go?-- and most things are small things!!

Nope, Ned never ran from anyone in his whole life.
It is funny you mention Jerilderie. This is where the gang crossed into New South Wales and went to the police station. There, they took the police prisoner, took their uniforms and put them on, then went to the bank. They held the bank up, whilst telling them who they were and they forced the bank manager to burn all the mortgages in the safe. So they weren't just robbers as such. The letter is a classic too.
He didn't have to go back to the tavern, except his brother and two friends were there.
So he tried to take on 50+ police solo.
That is the measure of Edward Kelly, a legend to all Irishmen.
Like my ancestor Steve, I too am an enemy of the crown. They can't shoot me like they did Joe, so they are content to try and mess with me in other ways.
But I know their legal system better than those who want to play.

Well - this thread was entertaining to say the least.
Firstly, glad you are staying Lord Sid.
Secondly, I see this Forum as a community. As a community, maybe we should be able to have a say in some of the decisions, (like banning etc) of Avalon by way of a poll. This takes the pressure away from the Mods, who can act in a facilitator capacity, rather than adjudicators.
Thirdly, It would be gracious if Manny could have another chance. The best way to learn is from example.

It would be gracious if Manny could have another chance.
He had several. The mods have spent probably hundreds of hours involving him over the last six months. He membership was suspended (vacations) four times and there were other incidents that took much energy but didn't result in an actual suspension. The drama cost our members as well, repeatedly. These cases are a serious distraction, and help fuel false and negative energies in the forum and its members.
Eventually he ran out of chances.

Well said Lord Sid the Irish are one of the most enigmatic communities on the planet, music ,whisky ,dance , injustice , poetry, culture anciant wisdom, and would be the greatest country in the world if it was not for guiness and their naturally fiery spirit , and of course the arrival of St Patrick doomed them like all of western world to catholic leading to later Scottish protestant dogma.....( I'am a very lapsed cathalic)
Remember it was mainly the scots that colonised Ireland which is ironic since the scots came from Ireland in the first place..LOL no wonder everything about Ireland is contradictory and of course those imperial anglo english landowners caused most suffering in the 19th century....
We in somerset and especially Bridgwater area have a long rebelious history with the crown and authority ...Just prior to the battle of the Boyne my ancestors got their ass kicked at the
Battle of Sedgemoor just outside Bridgwater the last pitched battle fought on English soil in1685 many of the locals caught up in it were tried by the infamous judge jeffreys at the Bloody
assizes inTaunton and those not hung were sold into bondage in the west indies .....During the pheasants revolt in the14th century we again joined in inwhat would be called today a riot and
chopped off the head of the kings tax collector only to find out due to the time lapse in communication that the revolt was quashed and we were in the s=== again..
Alfred The Great king of Wessex hid out and defeated the Danes from around here at wedmore, King Arthur and his knights were possibly based near here at Avalon.
In1785 Bridgwater was the first town to petition against slavery. Part in responce to the memmory of what happened to our own citizens 100 years earlier after the 'Bloody Assizes'
http://www.bridgwatersomerset.info/history_13_somerset_rebels_sold.php
Admiral Robert Blake founder of the modern British Navy was born and bred here and was MP for Bridgwater at the time of the civil war,and fought against Charles 1 , we won that one but not for long, and Charles 11 had his body taken from Westminster abbey where he had been buried under cromwells rule and thrown in a pit or unmarked grave..( I know cromwell was a bad ass to the Irish ) so he was no better than the monarchs..I forgot to mention cromwells army destroyed half the town and killed many inhabitents when they besieged the castle in 1645 which was garrisoned by royalists even though the town was predomently parlimentarian including our MP Blake..
http://www.uktourist.tv/?p=678
At the turn of the 19 century during a strike at the local brick works, the pickets were dispersed at baynet point the first such occasion to happen under the newly legislated riot act.
In 1938 we elected Vernon Bartlett a local journalist as MP on a anti Hitler apeasement ticket
We celebrate Guy fawkes night like no other with largest illuminated carnival in the world and I could go on but I've totally lost my thread but you get the gist I'll reread and edit later
But basically Ireland like all the regions of the UK are unique and worth fighting for...Cheers Steve
Ps untill about twenty years ago we also had one of the most pubs per head of population in the country mainly due to the town being a ancient sea/river port, and may still have. The main social life of the town still revolves around the pub now, by both sexes with Darts, skittles ,Eucre , pool, carnival & local sports teams all based at one pub or another
which is why we still have a large number though the last couple of years have seen several cease trading and more are in trouble. When the pubs go the soul of a community goes not a church that only makes you feel guilty .... Anyway cider has fueled a lot of our disputes LOL..
I certainly got carried away on that...Sorry but I enjoyed it Cheers

Interesting stuff Rob, and having an Irish ancestry too (Power's Irish Whisky ring a bell?), I've thought about something that confused me for many years, being the original Mr Angry that I was..... and that is, the need to constantly fight. I mean at any level - whether it be fighting yourself or others, whether it be an internal or external fight, or any combination.
The conclusions I've come to so far are that; we, too often, look for a fight that isn't there any more (I mean in our own timeline/this life/our path, call it what you will), and most importantly for me, sometimes we need to let the past go - it's like we've outgrown it and there's no new lessons there, other than to move on and make our own good history to leave for others.
Nice to see you back fella, and if you don't mind me saying, you should be proud, your heart is stronger than your tongue.....and your tongue is easier to bite than your heart ;)
Love and peace,
John

I find that our human nature is fascinating if observing it from an Anthropological point of view.
we are extremely predictable as species in the fact that we keep doing what we always do-
wherever we go,wehther it will be at school, college, our work place, television, the celebrity culture etc.we are always prone to crown someone as a prominent figuer to admire and to treat as our new idol.it never cease to amaze me how there are almost no exceptions to this human tribute, not even in a community that aspire to be holographic like Avalon.
such is life (I guess)
A community is one that deviates from KINGSHIP to KINSHIP. Where one is honoured for intelligence not dominance. Where respect and allegiance is given freely and not demanded.
The Three Creative Principles-
Absolute Justice,
Kindness and Kinship
Three Stages of Human Relations
1. (absolute justice).
2. (to grant someone more than his or her due).
3. (to treat others with such grace and overwhelming benevolence as one would treat
one’s kindred).
This phenomenon when observed among humans, with their consciousness and voluntary decisions to take a just and equitable course, is referred to as meaning application of justice.
Hence, the entire evolutionary process which guides God’s creation from lower to higher stages, is dependent upon justice and fairness. The danger of man reverting to his earlier lowly state if he abandons the principle of justice, kindness and kinship.
So we come together to offer reverence and justice out of free will, not idiolatry.

I'm going to say a few more things and then I'm off. You see, I'm writing the book I've been thinking of for years, and need to keep myself balanced.
The truth of this, IMHO, and (disclaimer), I am only speaking for myself...
Almost imediately when I became a member on January 9th of this year, I sensed within myself 'fear'. I'm putting that in quotes because I can't really say for sure what the feeling was, but almost everytime I posted, I was AFRAID I'd broken some rule.
I found myself being very careful/cautious about everything, and having a feeling someone was watching over my shoulders.
Now, I know that I am a kindly person, and not judgmental, and would never think of hurting anyone. I actually try to see all the sides of situations, and put myself in the other's shoes, so this feeling of being monitored, and having my words analyzed and categorized by a team of a chosen few, was very unsettling.
If I was to liken it to anything, I'd say (cuz this is the image that just popped into my head).....it would be that of being on the ranch, and there seated on their horses, cowboys in their chaps and ten-gallon hats, lassos in hand, whilst they round up the cattle and drive 'em into the pen.
I kid you not. This is how I've felt from almost the beginning. (Maybe the only reason I didn't see it sooner was because I was new to any and all forums and wasn't aware.)
I'm being honest here. I'm being real.
Are you Paul, or anyone else, going to slam me for expressing how this forum made me feel?
That's why I've stayed away. I only came here today because a very good friend told me about what was happening to Sid, whom I greatly appreciate for his honesty and his just being himself.
So are you going to quote the rules, and attempt to intimidate me into submission, because I expressed my thoughts and feelings?

Is that what you want? That is rediculous. We encourage the expression of thought and feelings and the freeflow of ideas. We do not encourage personal attacks on members and staff. once again, trying to show that Mods and admins are the problem. Keep trying, I do not care. I see right through it. In fact we ALL see through it. Tell your 'friend' that we appreciate the concern. Now try balancing your negative an false comments about the staff here with positive ones... can you do it. The rules apply to all who are here. That someone claims what they say is just their thoughts or feelings does not grant them immunity.
You freely and willingly agreed to the forum rules when you joined. That you would now describe my quoting them as "attempt to intimidate [you] into submission" sounds to me like a justification for no longer honoring your agreement (as well as continued implicit bashing of the mods.) That's your choice to make, of course. Let's just be clear about what we're doing. No spin, if you please.

Errrr...this is worst than watching a soap opera....
Everything got sorted out because the people involved didn't want to create a new drama...so why is everyone else carrying it on? And why are so many people attacking the people moderating this forum? LS posts a lot of good things, but the people if you check the posts of the people moderating they also post a lot of great stuff! and they did settle all the differences, so what is this?
now can we all please MOVE ON and stop feeling too sensitive about things.....it's just the energies around us causing us to be like that for now....so yeah moving on....

The 'pompous pseudo-intellects'... is something that everyone has been seen to be at some time in their lives (meaning, from another's perspective), you and I included. Control freaks are great, they get so hacked off when you don't follow them..... though I disagree that they exist in any number here.

I believe Sid is fine and is back posting again...
I never want to get involved in these type of issues, its kind of a self preservation issue I have on this forum...Dare I Speak-Out or not?
However...
Hypothically speaking...
My only question is to the 'Mods' If someone disagrees with your collective stance on an Avalonian Member is there any redress on decisions you hand down?
Or is like the "We Know Best" and all members must accept our decision?
I am not trying to 'rock the boat' and appreciate the tough job you have...
....But again I must ask the question "If someone disagrees with your collective stance on an Avalonian Member is there any redress on decisions you hand down?"
...and is there any place we can go on this Forum to address our concerns?
Perhaps in future 'The Guilty' can have their case heard on a sub-section of the forum where Avalonians can see the evidence and vote accordingly to resolve any issues some members find questionable?
Too often in our Everday Lives someone complains to a Council &/or Govt. and due to 'Political Correctness' an unfavorable decision is handed down regardless of what the constituency thinks!
That is my 2 cents worth, take it or leave it...

Jack

I don't know. Yeah, he broke the rules and he did give the staff a hard time too.

Love and peace,
John
Some excellent observations there.
I have been told I could start a fight in an empty room.
I am more interested in my internal struggles than fighting with others.
For some reason, I attract that type of energy to me, even when I am not focused on it.

A general note for all:
Due to the rules of matter, physicality and time, thus past, future, now, and thus reflection..one can state what they want.
Do not fail to expect response. Response...for one is sending out a message based in the language of ego.
Responsibility, like charity, begins at home, or in the self.
The expression of negativity, even in the face of such - is not the way.
Absorb the blow, reflect the upward spiral, not the downward.
If negativity impacts the given self... and the internal response is desirous of rebuttal, well..that as a concept and a moment in time ---says it all.
What that essentially means is that the autonomous ego function needs to be looked at, so the filter of life (which the ego is) is not impacted by it's autonomous 'reactions', it's patterned response.
The full moon brings this aspect forth, strongly.
Peer into that aspect of the self, and the healing will begin. Until then, one will still be a barking dog stretched tight on an egoic chain, reacting in manners that are unfit for attempting clear headed reason.
The forum , essentially, cannot survive if some of it's participants spend their time bouncing back and forth responding unawares, in the depths of ego.
Those who know these sort of patterns.. that exist deep in people (99% being unaware of it, as it is literally tied to the formation of their perception, it is that deep), they use this aspect to elicit and herd the given response patterns in others.
You can't control or interfere in the lives of others via controlled reason, but you can control them via their own unrecognized deep autonomous response patterns. This is INCREDIBLY basic stuff, it is psychology 101 class. Sadly, few people want to look at this point in themselves, due to their ego, which controls their perception..pushing them away from it like a force of gravity. You have an internal autonomous block on your perception of this aspect of the self, as it is all by the ego, for the ego, controlled by the ego.
The manipulators of the past and now, the low empathy types, this is what they do. They stir crap up. They stir it by poking you below the level of conscious awareness. They are narcissistic, and low empathy, thus they suffer far less blockage to and around these matters... and they can, will and DO manipulate you via these channels. Always.
In that way, they break the function of THIS forum, while looking innocent.
The moment you see a thread looking innocent at the same time it breaks the function (which is to get on with it and help ourselves) of the forum..THERE YOU WILL FIND THEM.
See it for what it is. Wake up and stop living in ego, It is literally ---killing you.
You have a complete, undefended backside to your existence and the vast majority are not aware of it. Until you wake up to that, you will continue to be stabbed with spear guns through it..and dragged around by this rope attached... dragged around the planet by this type of machination and leveraging.

"If someone disagrees with your collective stance on an Avalonian Member is there any redress on decisions you hand down?"
No.
Please read again the post here: http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?27187-The-Project-Avalon-Community-Forum
My thoughts on your one word answer 'NO' to my 1st go at addressing this issue, leaves me 'knowing the rules' which I try to adhere to but bewildered at the same time...
Well, at least I know where we stand on this issue!
I like most here rebel against 'Authority & Totalitarianism' in any way, shape or form...It is something that I have put my whole heart & soul in fighting against since I can remember.
Having said that...
What Bugs me, if someone does publically and legitimately disagrees with any type of decision handed down using their God given right to 'Free Speech' (Within Forum Rules) its only a concern to the Avalonian members not the Mods, with absolutely no recall to grevience?
As I said before, I try to avoid this issue like the plague on this forum...
But, I get the feeling that anyone who disagrees to often will be 'Silenced' possibly forever...
Why do I somehow get the feeling that because I or Anyone raise a legitimate concern after reading many rebuttals on this issue, could be the next to go?
That was my 1st & Last post on this issue...
Regards,
Jack

Jack, the point is if one gets the bit in their teeth and runs with it incessantly, with no end, then it is an inability to see the self being the one creating and perpetuating the ruination.
Thus the first rule for being part of the system of rulership for the PTB:
You must have a form of ignorance that you can be manipulated by and through. Your capacity and vision must be limited, an internal lever that you cannot see.... that you can be manipulated by.. Slave material. Then that given person is welcomed in... with open arms.
Benjamin Fulford explained this clearly in his original videos.
He said that in his job as the head of the Forbes magazine Asian Bureau reporting system, he had near hundreds of opportunities to personally interview the heads of these systems of government.
What he found was that they were almost to the last person, dumber than a bag of hammers, when it comes to the fundamentals of basic rounded and complete human awareness.
Read that again, and awareness might begin to settle in. It is a vital and important point.
So the planet is being run by narcissistic schizoid sociopaths (from the background, for if you saw that they were there, you'd end it IMMEDIATELY), who put dumb people in positions of social and political power, thus controllable via their ignorance and animalistic excesses.
Then the public, also unaware, are blocked from understanding..... as the representation that they see and integrate with ----simply has no clue.

This alone would be a big cosmic hilarious joke..
That would keep me laughing the remainder of my existence.....
That is if the implications and raw truth of it wasn't so terribly heartbreaking...

with absolutely no recall to grevience? Please do not assume that. We are absolutely open for dialogue. Just shoot us an email. There are folks who have done this and have been re-invited. :)
Why do I somehow get the feeling that because I or Anyone raise a legitimate concern after reading many rebuttals on this issue, could be the next to go?
You know I respect and admire you, jacko.. If I may,,, It is not a problem to raise a legitimate concern over an issue! :) I wish that folks would pick more LEGITIMATE ISSUES than what the mods are doing!!! Before I was a mod, I stayed out of the threads where folks were bashing each other. Why throw fuel on a fire? People are so hell bent on defending themselves from true abuse of power that they put their focus on the staff and admins here at Avalon. I am flattered, but I do not have it in me to abuse anyone. I am a regular person, just like you. I have learned to listen from my heart. I have been challenged by my opportunity to help moderate this forum. And I respect and appreciate every one of you. Ya know,,
One turkey can get the rest of the turkeys to all start yelling, before they even know what they are all yelling about. (I am not calling anyone a turkey,, just an analogy about senseless bickering!:))

Of course not.
It's like arguing with the referee at a soccer game after he decided on a penalty, he will not change his mind but talking with him endlessly will only make him send you off the field.
Exception in soccer is when afterwards there is some big evidence, that was overlooked first, which can be seen in the filmed footage, that may change a decision, in our case this would be new evidence emerging, like was the case when a couple of members who were allegedly part of the 18 were then found not to be members.
But I can still feel with people, who want to express their discontent with something. Then I'd say, write a PM to the particular mod, just one PM, to inform him, no discussion, like you wouldn't discuss with a referee.

yep, the fix it point is on the inside. then the change can come. Like it has always been said.
The message is always there, and always said, for the message must be there for when the attempt is primed to be made within the individual.
The universe is gently tapping on your eggshell, letting you know that there is an external aspect to your unrealized internal dilemma (balance in everything!), a world, a universe -awaits. Open the doors of perception. Both inside and out.

Talking about stirring. You are both right, I figure. But you both feed the spiral Carmody talks about. Reminds me of what a good friend asked me "Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?"
Staying quiet seems to require more strength than giving into getting into verbal wrestling again and again. Not responding verbally might still send a message, I figure just saying thank you and staying quiet releases emotional tension (instead of throwing it at another) and leaves the other like a boxer in a ring, who's not getting the fight that he was searching for. So who's a big boy? :yu:

There is no disrespect in blaming me for something that I had no part in?
Disrespect absolutely PERMEATES your posts about me. Ever since the period when we had that atticus ''disclosure'' thread, a few of the staff have been on my case, you being one of them.
When I say stay away from me, I am saying to you to stop posting replies to me that are provocative and not helpful.

You know what?
You are right, as is Carmody.
This isn't an easy thing for me, I am not perfect and I have flaws.
One of those flaws is reacting when people want to slander me.
Some of the staff here seem determined to keep starting things with people they want gone.
Not only is that extremely dishonourable, a contravention of the guidelines, against the spirit of avalon and not what bill appointed them for, but it is also severely self destructive.
They will fall foul of the rule of three.
I probably will too and that is why I try to not react to the nuggetry.
Until the staff realise there are issues here that won't go away and can't be swept under the rug, this will continue on.
I am happy to walk away from it, but the question is, are those on staff who have a beehive in their bonnets happy to do the same?

I don't disagree with what got you in trouble, I had the same thoughts, that's true for other's postings that opposed you as well. I am content with entertaining these seemingly opposing views within myself without some parts of myself taking it personal or fighting each other, for in truth these are all true aspects of the big holographic picture. But I find it to be hardly productive to voice some of these thoughts here, for although we are all full of flaws, very very few people can sustain a tranquil open talk about them. So I restrict myself mostly to inspiring folks to focus on their positive abilities. It's a way of shorter steps, if pointing at flaws would work, the progress would be much faster and the steps bigger, that's why it's so tempting (pulling out something by its roots instead of slowly burning it away), I figure, but in my experience you gotta use that very very prudentially and only in situations where there is strong mutual trust.

I was reading the comments back and forth, and knowing that Sierra is a strong women with guts and had to fight against discrimination her whole liife (as most women our age), I tought "what is this, is she speaking French?", French with the American meaning of course (in my part of the world, we say Chinese) when we don't understand the meaning or what is going on.:lever:
Then surprise surprise. Lord Sidious is ..... with "peurile".:tongue1:
But then, I tought I could myself get a good fight with LS about the massacre of the French language. Peurile comes from French puérile. It is not peu, but pué... p u é r i l e. How come English speaking people always feel the God given right to massacre Molière's language? LOL And thinking they are showing education...... ;)
Lets put away the old fight with, between, above, under, mods and members and lets make the fight on the French language side of it: us Quebecer have gotten extremely good at it since the early 80s. Ready LS?:fencing:
Editing: all for fun of course and to lighten up the thread.
(trying to correct fast my mistake not to give you an edge)

Looks like things got a bit toasty in some posts above (not Flash's - I just quote her because I liked the fencing icon).
Give me a few minutes to review the above. Carry on meanwhile in good spirit.

Things appear to be resolved, so please, no more deletions.

OK - if that works for you - that works for me.
Thank-you, Lord Sidious.

with absolutely no recall to grevience?
Hello,
I'll use my "admin powers" but this time to apologize to Jacko. Please forgive me for my blunt "No", I was very tired and upset but not by you. And as far as I know this was indeed your first question about it, and I didn't handle it properly. It seemed right at the time but it really wasn't. I appreciate you polite reply.
And a big thanks goes to Jake and his wonderful post. That is indeed the answer to your questions Jacko.
Jake, my hat's off to you my friend :yo:
