I was taught this around 8 years ago, and it has worked for me well at times, so will try to describe it as best as i could, as i lost the little notes i had about it some time ago.
first sit in a quiet place where you can't be disturbed (good luck finding that for some of us)
close your eyes until you see nothing, you don't even see yourself but know you are there. There is nothing around you, and you are in the middle of nothing.
when you really feel you are no longer aware of your surroundings, feel yourself change into water.
this can start by a trickle from a mountain or a little spring in the ground. now start seeing your surroundings you are a droplets of water that are slowly but powerfully gathering strength.
what is it that you are in if you are stream, then feel the bed that you are traveling on and the surrounding banks, and as you move on this journey gather force. you are now becoming a stronger water force if you can hear the noises that your water self is making then do so...as you move in your journey you become stronger, visualize boulders in water, reeds on the side of the banks and flowers and FEEL them, carry on this journey for as long as you need to, and hear the bubbling or roaring noises in your mind whichever one this water bodies journey is letting you hear. Is it washing forest ground, or mountain ground or green fields, whatever you visualize feel it to...see how your water body splits into two and then reunites around when a boulder is in its way...whatever your own imagination wants you to see, see it.
and then see how does it end, by a waterfall into a lake, visualize this and feel it. into the sea or ocean also visualize and feel it...when you feel your water body has become as strong as it could and after a while finished its journey take a deep breathe, and slowly release it and open your eyes.
your feeling better now as part of the anger has been washed away.
