I just saw this in the UK Guardian and thought I'd share.

Make of it what you will :)

If they think we will take up arms to keep them in place, they have another 'thought" coming.

Anything but the ones killing us now with no healthcare, jobs, homes, air, water, and on and on.
ENOUGH!
Your time is up devils, give up the ghost.

...to contact with cooperative organisms that help us advance our knowledge and solve global problems such as hunger, poverty and disease.

These issues are manmade, and have been used throughout the centuries to the benefit of the elite. "Sorry, Mr ET, nothing to see here."

It may not rank as the most compelling reason to curb greenhouse gases, but reducing our emissions might just save humanity from a pre-emptive alien attack, scientists claim. ...

... "Green" aliens might object to the environmental damage humans have caused on Earth and wipe us out to save the planet. "These scenarios give us reason to limit our growth and reduce our impact on global ecosystems. It would be particularly important for us to limit our emissions of greenhouse gases, since atmospheric composition can be observed from other planets," the authors write.

Sounds like something Al Gore authored, but the names were changed to protect the guilty

Why not to take it the other way around ...if you can't stop with the greenhouse emitions and continous poisoning, you'll end up looking exactly like these green and grey men ,
the planet will be barren and you'll stop progenerating.

So better live green

Agape i agree with you but the poluters are not us. The polutions of this planet is the result of the corporations trying to make more money and to mass enslave us. When they stop trying to do what they been doing for 200 years now maybe more then the planet will be saved. Else it doesnt really matter how "green" you think you are living. Even if all humans start living green the emisions will still keep raising. Industry - Consumerism etc doesnt get effected by what we do.

1 million green cellphones are still 1 million wasted cellphones. If they started to make cellphones that last 5 years and not 6 months or less then IMMEDIATELY without changing out "life-style" we will have reduced pollution/waste by 60-70%. (cellphones are an example...you can change it with almost anything we use everyday.)

Yes I agree but are you not them . We are all part of the antroposphere so called, we are all part of the game .
It depends on you as being what the other beings do, you can play with nature but the nature also, plays with you .

I'm 100 % humans, no matter how bad they can behave we feel for them , they feel for us ..

We are all so called sentient beings endowed with intelligence and compassion , and acute insight . It's not a matter of not having the capabilities, with humans, but learning how to use them .

You can plant one civilisation model to another, it won't work . Suppose I come from metallic based planet where your life would be barely possible and try to apply my polished ideas over here no matter how good they are , it won't work . It may even harm you .

And you can't really make mess on my planet either . There's not much to mess with .

We can hardly learn from one another if anything ...but..we can always advice . Give hand to one another ..

Clearly , the sterile mathematical model of communication with present aliens is considered fun on my motherboard .

You need to start solving important global issues WITH HEART

I find this article to be dubious:

It's a small thing but, i find it odd that the article has NASA spelled with the first letter capitalized and the rest lower case...

Is this like making a promise with your fingers crossed behind your back?

Also note this at the end of the article:

"• This article was amended on 19 August 2011. The subhead said the report was "for Nasa". This has been corrected."

But if you think there was a war long ago after the earthlings (whoever they were) had reached a high point of civilization AND were possibly acting as irresponsibly as we are now....maybe some ETS pummeled us back to the stone age...?

Not without a warning of course but we are getting plenty of warnings that don't seem to making much of an impression.
